Old, broken weapons and dried, dismembered remains littered the outer streets. Now and then, black-robed figures passed in silence, their eyes dull and bloodthirsty. They never spoke to one another. All that remained in their gazes was the urge to plunder and kill.

Countless people watched with curiosity. Ninety-nine point nine nine percent of them had only ever heard rumors of Slaughter City, never seen it.

At last, the view settled on a room.

Suddenly, a tall man dressed in black appeared in a chair that had been empty a moment before.

Everyone recognized Tang Chen from his earlier appearance on the Sky Curtain.

On the Sky Curtain, Tang Chen began searching for the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King.

From his conversations with the other Titled Douluo during the search, they could tell that this had happened after Tang Chen experienced the instance on the day the Sky Curtain appeared.

Before long, Tang Chen found a lead and took a group to attack the target.

A vampire?!

It was a vampire from the Ultraman Tiga World. How had one appeared on Douluo Star?

Gatanthor might even summon the giant eye that had appeared on the Sky Curtain.

Word of this theory soon spread to everyone.

Fear and panic began to sweep across Douluo Star.

The Light God Temples in Apple Town and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect also appeared before every living being.

The Sky Curtain showed the continent's leading factions discussing their response in Spirit City's Martial Soul Main Hall.

Had Tang Xiao and the others already entered Slaughter City?

Tang Hao staggered back several steps, his expression vacant.

Qian Daoliu stepped forward and looked at Tang Zhen. "Tell us everything that happened on your journey. Leave nothing out."

Tang Zhen slowly recounted their ordeal.

After learning Tang Chen was in Slaughter City, the Clear Sky Sect had set out at once, intending to ask him to return to the sect.

The six of them had focused solely on traveling and had not spoken to any villagers along the way, so they knew nothing about the vampires.

They reached the town on the outskirts of Slaughter City the day after the Sky Curtain showed Tiga defeating Gatanthor.

After speaking with the townspeople, they planned to send Tang Xiao and Tang Lie into Slaughter City to find Tang Chen.

That was when the day's Sky Curtain appeared.

Through its broadcast, they soon learned that Tang Chen had already left and that a terrifying vampire remained in Slaughter City.

They immediately decided to turn back, but the townspeople suddenly attacked them.

Those people had already been turned into vampires and Blood Slaves. After a fierce fight, the terrifying vampire appeared as well.

Tang Xiao, Fifth Elder, and Seventh Elder immediately chose to stay behind and hold them off. Only then did the other three escape, though they were badly wounded. To avoid pursuit, they hid in a nearby village.

Tang Zhen had come to ask for help only after discovering the allied forces were nearby.

Tang Chen's face darkened. He stepped in front of Tang Zhen, anger in his voice. "Di Tian, what is that supposed to mean? Do you suspect someone from my Clear Sky Sect has become a vampire's pawn?"

Zi JI stepped forward to stand beside Di Tian. "Tang Chen, the situation is dangerous. We don't understand how the vampires turn people, so we have to be careful. This is for the safety of the entire allied force."

Tang Hao's face flushed red with indignation. "Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"

"Clear Sky Sect disciples would rather die than submit! We would never become puppets of those monsters. That is our sect's pride!"

The petite, youthful-looking Ice Empress folded her arms and scoffed. "If he has nothing to hide, why stop him? Let him take the test. Then everyone can rest easy, and we won't have needless suspicion later."
