A black vortex drags Su He into a ruined divine kingdom, where he devours the remnant soul of the God of Light. Trapped there, he loses all sense of time-until the vortex suddenly reappears. On the other side lies Douluo Continent.

To replenish his power of faith, Su He uses the last of his divine strength to create a celestial screen and stage a history that never happened. His first spectacle: a ranking of world-ending demon gods.

Su He writes and directs the entire show. He releases the "evil gods" sealed within the divine kingdom, then descends in a divine miracle to destroy them and claim the people's faith.

The first evil god: the Ruler of Darkness, Ghatanothoa. Destroyed by Tiga, a Warrior of Light and follower of the God of Light, its lingering will is drawn through a space-time vortex to Douluo Continent.

The second evil god: Kaguya Otsutsuki. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, she planted a God Tree on Douluo Continent. In the end, her two sons sacrificed themselves to create the moon and seal her away.

The third evil god: Millenniummon. Carrying out the God of Light's will, Yggdrasil chooses the DigiDestined to destroy the monster that has devoured countless worlds...

From that day on, Douluo Continent is plunged into crisis after crisis! Once Su He recovers a sliver of his strength, he begins spreading his faith across the universe-to the planet of Divine Throne, the planet of Magic Chef of Ice and Fire, and beyond. After turning the universe into his own garden of believers, he sets his sights on other universes.
