Background / History

Su He creates the Sky Curtain while trapped in the ruined Light God Kingdom. Rather than openly seek worship, he plans to broadcast a fabricated history of world-destroying demon gods, stage a crisis, and present a Light God apostle as its savior. He shapes light with his remaining divine power and sends it through a vortex to Douluo Star 2.

The blank curtain first appears across the planet, then displays the Heavenly Dao Ranking: The World-Destroying Demon Gods of Douluo Star, beginning with Gatanthor. Its broadcasts introduce viewers to the world of Ultraman Tiga. Su He later edits episodes—including the Gakuma story—to influence how humans and Soul Beasts view Tiga and the Light God 2 3 4 17.

The Curtain also becomes a public record of events on Douluo Star, showing Tang Chen’s defeat in Slaughter City, the allied forces’ movements, and the vampire ambush. Later broadcasts present Kaguya and the history of Chakra, the Land of Light, Black Zetsu’s plans, and the Digital World 33 35 44 50 60 71.

Appearance

At its first appearance, the Sky Curtain is an immense expanse of golden light, visible from anywhere on Douluo Star 2.

• It hangs thousands of kilometers overhead and initially shows neither images nor words 2.
• It gives off no detectable energy, though observers feel an unseen pressure from it 2 3.
• Its displays can show moving scenes, narration, and large gilded text 3 4 11.

Abilities & Functions

Planetary broadcasts

• Su He controls the light forming the Curtain and chooses the images it shows; maintaining the display consumes relatively little divine power 2.
• Broadcasts can present edited stories as well as events on Douluo Star. Su He deliberately changes the Gakuma episode so it ends in coexistence rather than the monsters’ deaths 17 33.
• The Curtain eventually appears over other inhabited planets in Su He’s domain 32 79.

Heavenly Dao instances

• The Curtain announces challenges, participants, rules, and results. Its first instance selects ten powerful fighters to help defend Tiga’s statues from Golza and Melba 11 15.
• Although presented as transport into another time and space, Su He creates that first experience by extracting the participants’ souls and sealing them in an Illusion Orb; he lacks the power to create a complete world at the time 11.
• Announced penalties and rewards can change participants’ strength: the Evil Emperor loses 50,000 years of cultivation, while later rewards increase other participants’ Soul Power density 15 16.

Limits

• The Curtain’s altitude places it beyond the reach of powerful observers and the Evil Eye Tyrant’s attack; the account does not show it repelling a direct hit 3.
• Its operation depends on Su He’s activity. He postpones an instance after a disturbing broadcast, and the Curtain vanishes briefly while he expends divine power on creation 32 79.

Relationship with Su He and Sumu

• Su He — Creator and principal operator. He uses the Curtain to cultivate faith; faith directed at the Curtain or “Heavenly Dao” reaches him in diminished form compared with faith directed at the Light God 2 15 17.
• Sumu — Created by Su He and appointed God of Sky Curtain, sharing his authority over creation. She is a separate being, not identified as the Curtain itself 79.
