History

At first, the Canglan Realm’s Heavenly Dao is broken but not inert. Its residual will begins examining Su Chen’s planted Southern Heavenly Gate fragment and could expose it as an illusion. Su Chen prevents this by having the fragment’s name spoken aloud, giving the realm’s laws an accepted identity to incorporate into historical causality 3 4.

As belief in Su Chen’s Primordial World mythology spreads, his fabricated order overwrites the local Heavenly Dao. He becomes its supreme master in the affected star domains, then adds the concepts of tribulation, merit, and divine investiture to its laws 19 20 25 28.

Abilities & Functions

Causality and recognition

• The residual Heavenly Dao can examine whether a supposed relic fits the realm’s laws; the Southern Heavenly Gate fragment initially strains those laws 3 4.
• A definitive identification accepted by the realm can end that examination and bind the fragment to its history 4.

Merit and calamity

• The reconstructed order grants Merit Golden Light for deeds that protect living beings and uphold order. That light can heal spiritual harm and shield a true spirit from a Calamity Cycle’s corruption 24 25.
• Forged merit is not secure protection: Tianluo Ancestor’s staged rescues appear to earn merit, but the deaths he caused leave karmic consequences that Su Chen detects 29 30.

Divine investiture

• The Investiture of the Gods Calamity offers surviving cultivators a path toward immortality while allowing fallen cultivators’ intact true spirits to enter Heavenly Court service under its laws and the God-Striking Whip 27 28.
• The ranking condemns Tianluo Ancestor to service as a low-ranking mountain-patrol god after his crimes are exposed 30.
• In a regulated battle, the order guides untainted fallen spirits to the Investiture Altar for later appointment; the account of the Annihilation Sword Sect–Myriad Stars Alliance battle says none are missed 32 33.

Relationships

• Su Chen — Overwrites and reconstructs the Heavenly Dao’s rules through his system, ultimately becoming their supreme master in the affected realms 19 25 28.
• Lin Qiye — Enforces its investiture-era rules as a heaven-patrolling protector, exposing false merit and setting limits on sanctioned battles 29 30 32.
• Heavenly Court — Receives authority through the Heavenly Dao’s investiture system; appointed gods gain divine life but must obey the Court’s laws 27 28.
