Background / History

Asuma is the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi’s youngest son. At the Academy, he resents being told what to do and wants to surpass his father. His rivalry with Nara Tsukimi begins when Tsukimi defeats him in a practical test. Asuma trains with Hiruzen for a rematch but loses again; the competition helps him become more disciplined and brings him closer to his father 4 6 9 10 14.

After graduating early, Asuma joins Tsukimi and Kurenai Yuhi under Orochimaru.
