Background and history
Zhuqing grew up in the Zhu Family of the Star Luo Empire and was engaged to Dai Mubai. After he fled the empire, support within her clan shifted toward her sister Zhu Zhuyun and Dai Weisi. Zhuqing faced harassment at school, surveillance at home, and attacks arranged by relatives while planning her escape 6 11.
Her cousin Zhu Gang and uncle Zhu Xiaolie trapped her at the family estate and intended to cripple her. Fang Fan intervened before Zhu Gang could maim her. When a Soul Emperor killed Xiao Hong—the maid Zhuqing regarded as family—Zhuqing killed him herself. Fang Fan then killed Zhu Xiaolie and Chen Li. Zhuqing thanked her father, Zhu Dashuai, for raising her and severed her ties with the family 7 8 9 11.
Bibi Dong proposed that Zhuqing marry Fang Fan because of their Martial Souls’ affinity. Zhuqing agreed after questioning Spirit Hall’s interest in her and considering Fang Fan’s help. They married in a small ceremony at the Holy Son Hall, though her engagement to Dai Mubai had not yet been formally settled 12 19 20 30.

Zhuqing is described as slender, fair-skinned, and cool-faced; she often wears black. Her reserved bearing contrasts with the feline features of her Martial Soul possession 6 14 107 158.

She is deeply loyal to people who care for her, particularly Xiao Hong, and initially shy about showing affection. Her trust in Fang Fan becomes more open over time, culminating in a public confession of love. She also insists on choosing a divine identity tied to her own Martial Soul rather than accepting either title Fang Fan first offers 11 35 176 177.
