The next day, Aaron rose early.

Eleanor was still fast asleep beneath the warm covers. Her eyes were tightly shut, her face pale and bloodless beneath her golden lashes. She had not woken since falling asleep the day before.

The sleeping Miss Cleric was beautiful, too. From Aaron's perspective, the face above her slender, swanlike neck looked radiant and sacred, her features exquisite, her skin as translucent as snow and so delicate it seemed a touch could break it.

All thanks to how well I've nourished her! Aaron thought smugly. He slowly sat up, tucked the covers around Miss Cleric, got out of bed, and washed up briefly before leaving the room with Tymora's Golden Orb.

The Lady of Silver's clerics and followers were not in the habit of rising early. Prayers to Selûne were generally offered at night, when the moon was visible, so neither Aaron's family nor Eleanor often got up early.

Tymora was different, however. Lady Luck's clerics always prayed at dawn to receive their divine magic.

Leaving his temporary quarters, Aaron found Disma already practicing his martial arts downstairs. The martial fanatic gave Aaron a startled look, seemingly unable to believe he was up so early. Aaron ignored him, focusing on his own affairs.

After devouring a trace of the Phantom Goddess Leira's divinity, Aaron's agility had increased, and he had gained a special ability: "See through invisibility." From now on, ordinary Invisibility could no longer evade his senses unless it was enhanced by some special ability.

In fact, after devouring that divinity, Aaron had thought he would naturally advance to Master rank.

He had already been only a step away from the breakthrough. Advancing after consuming a trace of divinity should have been a matter of course.

The Chaos Gods' answer was: No!
