Background / History

Kenbula was the captain of the Savage Bear Pirates, a crew that attacked a fishing boat near Cocoyasi Village before planning to raid the village. He ordered his crew to board the fishermen’s vessel and later confronted Noil after Noil cut the boarding ropes and defeated the attacking pirates 4.

Kenbula punished Scarface for the cannon attack and then offered Noil a place in his crew. He boasted of his fifteen-million-Beli bounty, claimed superiority over Don Krieg, and declared his intention to become the overlord of East Blue and eventually the Pirate King. Noil rejected the offer and challenged him instead 5.

The fight initially favored Kenbula’s raw strength. He resisted Noil’s sword strikes with iron gauntlets, then transformed into his Bear-Man Form after Noil forced him into a painful split. Kenbula’s transformed strength destroyed Noil’s sword and drove him through the ship’s deck 5.
