Background / History

The Great Shaman was once a pirate, but his crew cast him out because he ate human flesh. He found the secluded Red Leaf Island by chance and ruled its villagers for years. Having eaten a Devil Fruit more than ten years before his encounter with Noil, he passed off its fire powers as divine and taught the villagers to eat people 19.

• Defeat: Noil counters his fire with Haki and Amaterasu Black Flame, then kills him despite his plea for mercy 19 20.
• Aftermath: Noil finds the Flame-Flame Fruit among his apples and concludes that it reappeared after the Shaman’s death. He gives it to Ace 20.
