Pirates: I Can See Proficiency and Become a Legend

Aboard the Dog-Head Warship, Garp was happily munching on rice crackers when he suddenly froze. That fleeting surge of power felt very familiar.

He frowned, a flicker of surprise and suspicion crossing his eyes. "What's that kid doing here at a time like this?"

A wave of perception spread silently from him, sweeping across hundreds of kilometers. To the northeast, he found the kid he had taken a liking to.

"So Orange Town's his destination?"

"Listen up, boys! Change course for Orange Town!"

After a moment's thought, he turned to his adjutant. "When you reach Orange Town, dock by the shore. I'm going ahead!"

Without waiting for the marines to react, he launched himself away with Geppo and Shave.

On Orange Town's East Coast, a streak of light flashed. Dongze appeared where Ge Lu and Kuina had fought. Looking at the tomboy sitting against a tree trunk, he shook his head gently, affection and tenderness in his eyes.

At the sudden appearance of the three newcomers, Zoro's and Kuina's expressions changed. Dongze had only been around six feet tall when he left. Now he stood nearly ten feet.

His face had lost its boyish softness and taken on a sharper edge. Neither of them recognized him at first.

"Who are you?"

Dongze's mouth twitched. Had growing up changed him that much? It shouldn't have.

Then he grinned. "Come on. Did practicing Iron Head Skill scramble your brains?"

"Your brain's scrambled, you bastard Dongze!" Zoro shot back without thinking.

Then something clicked, and he cried out, "Holy shit! You're Dongze?"

Kuina, who hadn't been able to move a moment earlier, flashed forward and clung to Dongze like a koala.
