It wasn't that Dongze was some saint. He liked that sort of fun as much as anyone. But spiking the food was a bit much, and the aftereffects of the Iron Crotch Skill were terrifying. Robin alone couldn't handle them, and he was the one who suffered in the end. He'd come to hate that drug with a passion.
This time, Dongze had learned his lesson. He watched Robin eat first, waited to see if she reacted, and only then started eating himself.
Robin couldn't help bursting into laughter at his reaction.
"The drug's gone, Lord Dongze!"
Dongze pursed his lips at her teasing. "Don't say I didn't warn you. Do that again, and you won't be getting out of bed!"
"You—"
Robin clearly hadn't expected that reply. Her face flushed bright red.
The mention of it brought yesterday back to Dongze's mind. By the end, he really hadn't known what was happening, as if he'd drunk so much he'd blacked out.
But Robin had gotten what she wanted. She was one of his own now.
Before, she'd never known where she stood aboard this ship. Dongze hadn't invited her; she'd simply stayed aboard.
After spending these days together, she'd come to understand him. He was possessive. Once something was his, he wouldn't let go.
What happened with Enel had shaken her, too. That was how the ship's cook had ended up drugging the captain and making her move.
"Two more islands, and we should reach our destination!"
After a brief silence, Robin spoke softly.
Dongze nodded. Hawkeye would be his last stop in the first half of the Grand Line.
Once that fight was over, it would be time to set sail for the New World.
