Background / History

Departure from Heaven Dou Royal Academy

Yu Tianheng objects when Ling Han is appointed to replace Qin Ming as the Imperial Fighting Team’s teacher. Ling Han offers to leave if Tianheng can defeat his nine-year-old disciple, Tang San. Tianheng accepts, confident in the reputation of his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Martial Soul 29.

Tang San overwhelms him with spear attacks, evades his counterattack, and binds both his body and soul with Blue Silver Soul-Locking Seeds. The bout ends with Tang San’s spear pointed at Tianheng’s brow. Tianheng calls the victory a dirty trick, but Meng Shenji upholds the result. Ling Han refuses to train someone who will not acknowledge defeat, and Tianheng leaves the academy with Qin Ming 29.

Joining Shrek and Choosing Yu Xiaogang

Qin Ming takes Tianheng to his former school, Shrek Academy, where Tianheng reunites warmly with his uncle, Yu Xiaogang. Although he dislikes Shrek’s shabby accommodations and lack of a Mimicry Training Ground, he keeps his complaints to himself out of consideration for Qin Ming. Yu Xiaogang promises to train him to surpass Tang San, a goal Tianheng eagerly embraces 30 31.

The two teachers eventually clash over his combat development. Qin Ming advocates close combat to exploit the dragon’s powerful physique, while Yu Xiaogang insists on ranged lightning attacks. When Qin Ming prepares to attack Xiaogang, Tianheng intervenes and chooses his uncle’s side. Qin Ming respects the decision but leaves Shrek in disappointment 42.

Building the Shrek Seven Devils

When Shrek’s lack of accreditation threatens its entry into the Continental Advanced Soul Master Elite Tournament, Tianheng suggests approaching Blue Tyrant Academy, which receives support from his clan. The Shrek group subsequently relocates there, and the academy is renamed Shrek Academy 54 55 56.

To fill the team’s seventh position, Tianheng writes to his cousin Yu Tianxin. His invitation emphasizes their opportunity to fight together and the team’s Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda wielder and food-type Soul Master with innate full Soul Power. Tianxin joins, completing the Shrek Seven Devils. Yu Xiaogang retains Tianxin’s close-combat style to complement Tianheng’s ranged attacks 56.

Second Defeat by Tang San

Yu Yuanzhen recalls Tianheng and Tianxin to represent the clan against Ling Han’s students. Yu Xiaogang accompanies them, treating the competition as an opportunity to prove his teaching and again promising that Tianheng can defeat Tang San 65 66.

Instead, Tang San reveals that he has become a Soul King, while Tianheng remains a Soul Elder. Provoked into a four-on-one match alongside Tianxin and two Soul Ancestors, Tianheng attacks first and is the first sent out of the arena. After Tang San mocks Yu Xiaogang’s teaching, both uncle and nephew spit blood and faint from rage. Yu Yuanzhen orders their treatment 67.

The Poisonleaf Vine Experiment

After reaching rank forty, Tianheng entrusts his fourth-ring selection entirely to Yu Xiaogang. Xiaogang secretly takes him to the Star Dou Great Forest with Flender and Zhao Wuji, fearing that Liu Erlong and Qin Ming would intervene if informed 74.

Xiaogang recommends a poison-attribute plant ring, arguing that it will give Tianheng’s dragon poisonous abilities and make it superior to Dugu Yan’s Jade-Scaled Snake. Tianheng accepts the reasoning and absorbs the Poisonleaf Vine’s ring. Although he reaches rank forty-one, his Martial Soul’s weakened appearance and impure lightning raise concerns about the result; the passage ends before his fourth Soul Skill is demonstrated 74.

Personality

Tianheng is proud of his clan and Martial Soul, initially believing that Blue Silver Grass should not be able to defeat the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon. He struggles to accept losses, first accusing Tang San of using a dirty trick and later reacting with envy and anger when their cultivation gap widens 29 67.

His loyalty to Yu Xiaogang outweighs Qin Ming’s practical warnings. He repeatedly accepts his uncle’s assurances that he will surpass Tang San and eventually leaves his fourth-ring choice entirely in Xiaogang’s hands. This trust contrasts with Yu Tianxin’s decision to obtain a clan-approved ring 31 42 74.

Tianheng also shows initiative outside combat: he identifies Blue Tyrant Academy as a solution to Shrek’s tournament eligibility problem and helps recruit Tianxin into the team 54 56.
