Kushina the Rich Girl

As the eldest daughter of the Hyuga Clan's Main Family, Hyuga Rinka had enjoyed the clan's best training resources since childhood. She had already tried Water Walking, though she was far from proficient. This was a perfect chance to keep practicing.

Besides, if Kushina Uzumaki and Uchiha Yi could do it, why couldn't she?

Geniuses always earned respect. Hyuga Rinka knew Uchiha Yi was much stronger than she was, and she had no problem letting him lead the team.

Seeing Uchiha Yi and Hyuga Rinka get to work, Kushina Uzumaki puffed out her cheeks. Still, she obediently joined them in cleaning.

They could fish out the debris and deal with the filth in the hot spring. She could carry away the trash and clean up the ground. Surely she could manage that much.

Uchiha Yi nodded slightly. Perhaps he should teach Kushina Uzumaki Water Walking and tree climbing when they got back. With her Chakra control, she could probably finish the training in a day.

Kushina Uzumaki really was a genius. Calling her a younger Mito Uzumaki would not have been an exaggeration.

She had Chakra capable of suppressing Tailed Beasts, more than three times as much Chakra as Uchiha Mikoto, excellent Chakra control, a vast reserve of Yang Release Chakra, and remarkable talent for Sealing Jutsu. Gifts like hers were rare even among the Uzumaki Clan.

In almost every respect, Kushina Uzumaki was far ahead of Naruto Uzumaki. But Naruto, with his Asura Chakra, was different from ordinary people.

While they worked hard, Tsunade soaked happily in the hot spring, popping food into her mouth now and then and taking the occasional sip of beer. Life hardly got better than this.

If every mission went like this, Tsunade thought being a mentor might not be so bad after all.

"I'm exhausted!" Kushina Uzumaki dispelled her shadow clones and rubbed her temples. Even with her constitution, having the clones do so much work had taken a toll.

Kushina Uzumaki looked toward Uchiha Yi. He wasn't an Uzumaki, yet he had used even more shadow clones than she had. Was he all right?

Then again, he seemed to have considerably more Chakra than she did. Was an Uchiha really supposed to have that much?

"Yeah, it's a little tiring." Uchiha Yi dispelled his own shadow clones. After a moment, he adjusted to the rush of memories. "I once considered training with shadow clones, but on second thought, it would be too exhausting. There's a reason the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique is classified as forbidden."

When a shadow clone vanished, its original had to absorb its memories. Not everyone was Naruto Uzumaki, able to shrug off the strain.

Even Uchiha Yi had to be careful when using shadow clones.

Plenty of people could use shadow clones, but only Naruto Uzumaki had ever mastered their use to that degree. Not even Tobirama Senju had.

"All right, go find Tsunade. I'll get a private room for myself." After settling the work with the hot spring's owner, Uchiha Yi turned to the two girls.

If Tsunade refused to treat them, he could always pay for himself.

Kagami Uchiha had left Uchiha Yi valuable connections, allowing him to fit easily into the Hokage's circle. Without Kagami Uchiha's ties, another Uchiha who showed as much strength as Yi likely would have been marked for death.

And they certainly would not have received so much help and so many resources.

After all, the person primarily teaching Uchiha Yi now was Mito Uzumaki, a true powerhouse!

Kagami Uchiha had also left him enough money to live comfortably for the rest of his life, so long as he did not squander it or try to start a business.

Hyuga Rinka was not short of money either. And although Kushina Uzumaki received her living expenses from Mito Uzumaki, she was hardly poor.

With the consent of Kushina Uzumaki, the Uzumaki Clan's foremost heir, Mito Uzumaki had handed many of the clan's Sealing Jutsu over to Konoha. To show that Konoha welcomed the Uzumaki Clan, Hiruzen Sarutobi had transferred a number of shops into Kushina Uzumaki's name.

Mito Uzumaki had also given Kushina Uzumaki a substantial share of her own holdings.

That made Konoha's acquisition of the Uzumaki Clan's Sealing Jutsu legitimate, unlike the plunder committed by other villages.

Other villages could seize what they wanted. Konoha could not.

The Sealing Jutsu had also greatly strengthened Konoha.

Konoha could easily afford to give Kushina Uzumaki some property. In fact, the shops had previously been donated to the village by the Senju Clan. The arrangement earned Konoha goodwill and drew Kushina Uzumaki closer. Better still, it might attract some Uzumaki Clan members who had escaped.

Fortunately, Tsunade was a pretty good teacher. Whether or not Kushina Uzumaki and the others offered to pay, she did not mind treating the three children to a hot spring visit.

If she stayed on good terms with them, she could borrow money from them the next time she lost at gambling, couldn't she?

She had been eyeing Kushina Uzumaki's allowance for ages.

Time flew by. In the blink of an eye, half a year had passed. Throughout those six months, Uchiha Yi and the two girls carried out one tedious mission after another in the village, then trained under Mito Uzumaki or Tsunade when their work was done.

All three improved enormously. Uchiha Yi mastered numerous Sealing Jutsu and even gained a rudimentary grasp of the Flying Thunder God Technique. He was still far below Minato Namikaze's level, though, and lagged well behind Tobirama Senju too.

Locating his destination and activating the technique took too long. Uchiha Yi could not yet use the Flying Thunder God Technique in combat; at most, he could use it for travel.

Even so, he was thrilled. This was the Flying Thunder God Technique!

For now, Uchiha Yi had told no one about it—not even Tsunade or Mito Uzumaki.

He did not consider that hiding it. He had hardly mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique. If he could not activate it instantly or use it in battle, could it really count?
