Such a terrifying ability, enough to make the heart tremble, truly left Wu Changkong stunned.
But he had no idea just how frightening the bizarre close-combat capabilities unleashed by combining the Fantasy Dragon with the Clown sequence of the Diviner pathway could be.
Naturally, this was not something a Clown could accomplish. No matter how powerful a Clown's predictions were, they could never reach this level.
But what if Reality Distortion was added to the mix?
Once the impossible was twisted into the possible, those cards could no longer fly about randomly in every direction.
Originally, it had been impossible for all of them to attack Wu Changkong, much less for every single one to hit him.
But if all those impossibilities became possibilities, the outcome would be entirely different.
Wu Changkong's techniques could not stop those cards, and those cards would inevitably strike him.
This was the absolute causality of the Fantasy Dragon's Reality Distortion, the bizarre phenomenon Wu Changkong could not understand at that moment, and one of the trump cards Li Qingxun kept hidden.
As several cards shattered, more ice crystal cards stabbed viciously toward Wu Changkong's position.
These cards had exceptionally sharp edges. Wu Changkong had experienced this ultimate ice before.
Even he was unwilling to clash with Li Qingxun's power, yet the moment he retreated, he would lose.
Still, as he watched the smile on Li Qingxun's face, Wu Changkong fell somewhat silent.
He did not persist for long. Remaining in place without being hit was simply too difficult.
And so Wu Changkong stepped backward while raising his hand.
Frost coated the Frost Sword, and as he stepped back, he slashed the longsword forward.
At the same time, he abruptly twisted his body. With a sweep of his sword, all the approaching ice crystal cards were cut down in an instant.
But Wu Changkong did not continue attacking. He stood there silently, looking at Li Qingxun, who remained steadily in place, with a trace of complicated emotion in his eyes.
"Very good. You won. Your practical experience-or rather, your fighting methods-astonished me."
"And you seem capable of predicting the trajectories of my attacks and responding ahead of time. That is exceedingly rare among the young people I've met."
As Wu Changkong spoke, he looked at Li Qingxun with a slight frown, but Li Qingxun merely smiled.
He actually had plenty of trump cards, which was why he dared to act so recklessly. There were simply some he would not reveal to Wu Changkong.
Seeing Li Qingxun's expression, Wu Changkong shook his head. Everyone had secrets, and he was no exception.
So he had no desire to pry into Li Qingxun's secrets.
If Li Qingxun did not speak, Wu Changkong would not ask. His gaze shifted toward the other three.
Compared with the seasoned skill Li Qingxun had demonstrated, along with his first-rate reflexes and adaptability in battle...
The gap between him and those three was enormous.
Even Gu Yue could never have performed like that. At that moment, however, all three were staring blankly at Li Qingxun.
That extraordinary physical flexibility, those highly demanding movements...
They did not know what Li Qingxun had been dodging, but unless they were idiots, all three could figure it out.
Those must have been Wu Changkong's slashes, and Li Qingxun had so easily evaded those nearly invisible attacks.
That was what shocked the three of them most.
But before they could express their shock, they heard Wu Changkong's bone-chilling voice.
"Li Qingxun's performance was indeed excellent. To possess such strength at his age leaves even me astonished."
"So the next round of combat training will be for the three of you alone."
Early the next morning, Li Qingxun yawned as he lay in bed. They had been given a rare day off.
The other three had been beaten rather badly the previous evening, and one night had not been enough for them to recover.
That was why Wu Changkong had not even held classes for them that day.
Li Qingxun felt nothing much about it. After all, he had not caused this, so naturally, he had no particularly strong feelings.
In fact, as far as Li Qingxun was concerned, this had nothing to do with him at all. He had merely gone with the flow, not deliberately targeted anyone.
Sitting on his bed, Li Qingxun yawned again. As his consciousness began connecting to the other end of his spiritual sea, Seven stood silently in an alley.
His expression was somewhat strange, and he held a white orb in his hand, its surface shimmering with a faint white light.
"Boss, this is the thing you wanted. It really was over here, right on the edge of the Far North Snowfield."
"But how am I supposed to give it to you? Should I make a trip to the city you're in?"
Seven scratched his head as he spoke. He was clearly not quite used to calling him "boss."
But this was the form of address Li Qingxun had standardized. He required all his clones to call him "boss."
That way, he did not seem too exploitative of his clones, while everyone could clearly understand their own identity and position.
Listening to Seven, Li Qingxun looked at the orb in his hand, a glint flashing through his eyes.
Apart from the orb in Seven's hand, his clone had left him eight other orbs.
All of them contained fantasy power.
The strength of the fantasy power inside varied, however. It was power his clone had left behind between three rings and the eighth ring.
As for power from the ninth ring onward, he truly had none, because he had been placed under surveillance after reaching the ninth ring.
Tang San had watched him like a hawk back then, leaving Li Qingxun no opportunity. Rong Nianbing had also kept his attention locked on him the entire time.
For him to expend all his fantasy power back then and leave behind a Fantasy Orb like this had been all but impossible.
Still, this was already excellent. Each Fantasy Orb contained the full amount of fantasy power he had possessed at that stage.
The uses it could be put to would yield tremendous results.
He had not originally expected to find any. Ten thousand years was far too long, after all. Finding even one was already an unexpected delight.
It was not as though Li Qingxun had never tried to leave resources behind for his main body back then.
But no matter how deeply he hid them, they could not remain concealed through ten thousand years.
Even if the resources could be preserved, where could they remain undiscovered for ten thousand years? That was almost impossible.
Unless he buried all the resources over at Shrek Academy, and even then, those top-tier powerhouses would discover them.
There was almost nowhere safe in this world where he could keep his resources completely hidden for ten thousand years.
Without them being discovered.
Leaving resources behind was all but impossible, unless he had a long time on this side to make arrangements.
Or established an organization of his own.
He would have to leave special marks and secret codes, and also ensure that the organization could survive for ten thousand years.
And keeping an organization alive for ten thousand years under Tang San's surveillance... that was no different from courting death.
Still, finding even one was quite good, because Toji Fushiguro was currently searching for another in Skysea City.
Judging by how things stood, though, he probably had not found it. Otherwise, he should have shown some response.
At that thought, Li Qingxun sighed and raised his hand.
A dark blue ring split off from the blue-and-white ring within his mind.
Then the ring vanished, appearing inside Seven's mind the next second. Seven stared blankly at it.
With a surge of spiritual power, the orb entered the dark blue ring in an instant and disappeared.
When it returned, it was already inside the blue-and-white ring in Li Qingxun's mind.
Sensing the Fantasy Orb, Li Qingxun's eyes lit up in a rare display of excitement.
"Not bad. Another trump card. With this many Fantasy Orbs, there'll be even more things I can do." As he spoke, Li Qingxun raised his hand.
A blue-and-white gleam flashed in his hand, and a fist-sized orb appeared in his palm.
The orb looked like glass, but extraordinarily dense white mist churned within it.
Li Qingxun sensed the power inside.
This was the power he had left behind in the fourth ring realm. The Soul Ancestor level corresponded to sequence six.
At most, it could let him use sequence six powers, and it should be good for several uses.
That was already a very good result.
Sequence six of many pathways already possessed formidable combat strength, along with bizarre abilities.
So this orb would be immensely useful to Li Qingxun.
Thinking this over, Li Qingxun yawned. He had no intention of staying at school much longer.
There were no classes that day anyway.
And so he returned to the food street, only this time he came alone, without Gu Yue and the others accompanying him.
The food street was relatively empty in the early morning. After all, it only came alive at night.
During the day, most people went to class or work as usual.
Not many people came here, and most of the vendors were leisurely preparing ingredients for the evening.
Li Qingxun did not mind that this was a place that only grew lively at night.
He headed straight in a familiar direction.
Arriving at the Beef Clay Pot Shop and seeing that it was still open, Li Qingxun walked inside.
He ordered two beef clay pots for himself. One thing had to be said: they really did taste excellent.
As one of the gods of concepts, its flavor was so fragrant it could leave you dazed.
Even someone like Li Qingxun, who did not pay much attention to satisfying his appetite, found these beef clay pots incredibly addictive.
Just as he was happily eating, the contented smile on Li Qingxun's face suddenly froze.
He sat there silently, but his Spirit Sea Realm spiritual power had already enveloped the entire little shop, as well as the area outside it.
In a restaurant across from him, a man in a black suit sat elegantly.
The man appeared to be at least twenty-five years old.
His features were exceptionally handsome, to the point that he could even be described as beautiful.
His eyes were pale red, and his blond hair was cropped very short.
He sat there elegantly, eating rather unrefined food, yet his expression remained remarkably composed.
Ordinarily, there would have been nothing wrong with this man.
But according to Li Qingxun's own senses, in the ten minutes since he had entered the Beef Clay Pot Shop, the man had looked him over more than thirty times.
Moreover, an extremely bizarre and evil power emanated from him.
That power had already quietly locked onto Li Qingxun.
It was the man's spiritual power.
His spiritual power was not weak. It was even stronger than Li Qingxun's, but because Li Qingxun's spiritual power itself was linked to his fantasy power...
The strangeness of his spiritual power was far beyond what an ordinary person's spiritual power could detect.
Even so, Li Qingxun's expression gradually turned bone-chillingly cold. He realized that the man had come with ill intent.
At this stage in his previous life, he had been able to sweep through Shrek Academy with only two-ring cultivation, even beating Dai Huabin so badly that he was seriously injured.
Back then, he could accept assassination attempts, vendettas, and all manner of similar situations. He had long since grown accustomed to blades closing in on him.
But he was keeping such a low profile at this point in his current life. Why would anyone still come looking for him?
"Ah, what a pain. And an Evil Soul Master, at that. Even killing him would be a hassle."
