History

Liu Yan’s Pet and Awakening

CC accompanied Liu Yan throughout her studies abroad and remained practically inseparable from her. During the confrontation with the Lu Association, he attacks Lü Liangwei but stops when Liu Yan calls him. Lü then stabs and kicks him, leaving him near death 99.

Chen Hao cannot treat domestic animals with the Yellow Emperor’s Book of Changes, so he uses a Jade Rabbit Seed instead. CC recovers and immediately thanks him, calling him “Dada.” Liu Yan hears only ordinary dog sounds and initially thinks Chen Hao is imagining the conversation 99.

Defense of the Qin Estate

CC remains asleep in the car when Chen Hao visits the Qin estate. Remembering Erlang Shen’s warning, Chen Hao leaves him there with concern for his condition 106.

When the Lu Association attacks, CC awakens as a lethal transformed creature. He kills four armed men who discover him in the Mercedes, devastates the patrol force, and kills Lodi by ripping through his Qi Armor. Chen Hao suspects Dragon Saliva caused the change 114 115.

CC then kills Lü Qingzhou, overcoming spiritual restraints and Qi Armor. Afterward, he brings Chen Hao Lü’s severed hand because its ring contains spiritual qi and might be useful. The ring becomes Chen Hao’s first-rank Spell Ring 116.

Travels and the Dihao Group Rescue

In Yunjiang, Chen Hao obtains dragon meat from Nezha to satisfy CC’s demands for spiritual nourishment. CC falls asleep while absorbing its energy; Qin Yumo warns Chen Hao that revealing a Spirit Beast could attract dangerous attention 132.

CC later joins Chen Hao and Sen Tai inside Dihao Group’s spirit array. Its arrow barrage cannot injure him, and Chen Hao directs him toward the array’s core while fighting the larger apparitions 189.

Ghost Gate Infiltration

After being left at the airport, CC finds Chen Hao again and claims their special bond helped him locate his “Daddy.” His feeding also exposes a dragon tendon that upgrades Chen Hao’s Dragon Claw Immortal Artifact into the Divine Dragon Arm 231.

At Rakshasa’s initiation trials, CC smashes more than a dozen stone soldiers in seconds, then abandons the fight to chase a stone female dog. Gui Jianchou becomes determined to acquire him 233.

Chen Hao negotiates a price of 500 million, a sixth-grade-or-higher cultivation method, and the Ghost Gate’s strongest spirit array. CC cooperates with the deception, including a false control mechanism involving a baby’s rubber baton 234 235 244.

During the staged binding ritual, CC deliberately overturns a basin of Gui Jianchou’s blood. Ancient Dragon and the Rakshasa Battle

Long’er understands CC’s barks and recognizes his unusual intelligence. When Ancient Dragon’s White Tiger attacks him, CC’s Dragon’s Roar forces the gathered Spirit Beasts into submission 251 252.

CC refuses Gui Jianchou’s commands to transform, exposing the failure of his supposed control. He tells Long’er that his real owner is undercover and may be able to solve Ancient Dragon’s crisis. His message leads to a private meeting with Chen Hao and the postponement of alliance negotiations with Rakshasa 252 253.

During the ensuing battle, CC helps Python defeat the Rakshasa Gate Master: CC creates an opening, and Python swallows the enemy. CC subsequently joins Long’er and Python against Yin Buzhou 268 269.

Later Journeys and the New World

At Nine Blades, CC introduces his puppy, DD, to Chen Hao and tells it to greet its “Grandpa.” He later accompanies Chen Hao, Xiang Wencun, and Dong Zhuo to America 310 313.

After returning to Heavenly Gate Island, CC discovers that Qin Yumo can understand him. He gives her an exaggerated account of Chen Hao’s sacrifices to save her, provoking an emotional confrontation between them 341 342.

CC survives the catastrophe that precedes New Era Year 001. In the side stories, he carries Qin Yumo to an erupting volcano and investigates its underground lava channels. A collapse traps him, but Chen Hao rescues him. CC then pretends to be unconscious until Chen Hao exposes the act 403 405.
