Background

Nono was raised as Chen Motong, the favored daughter of the Chen Family. Her father treated that favoritism as an investment: she learned quickly, drew jealousy from her siblings, and was expected to accept an arranged marriage into the Gattuso Family. After her mother’s death exposed the family’s predatory nature, she rejected the name “Motong,” took the name Nono, and severed herself emotionally from the family 20 30.

Determined to bring down the Chen Family, Nono secretly became an informant for Jiu De Mayi, whom she knew only as the “Ninja Master.” On Mayi’s instruction, she feigned a Spiritual Vision before Father Chen; his greed led him to send her to a concealed inspection center for experimentation 30 31.

The experiments forced Nono to confront her identity. Her visions identified her as “Frigga Three,” one of a series of experimental subjects, while the Chen Family’s records and interrogation revealed that she was a clone rather than the original Chen Motong.
