Background / History

Eriyi was confined and isolated from childhood because of her dangerous White King-descended bloodline. She was kept in a reinforced, intensive-care-like room and given games and anime as controlled entertainment, but received almost no ordinary education or explanation of the outside world. As a result, she constructed much of her worldview from fiction rather than lived experience. 144 150 165

She is an “Emperor,” an exceptionally stable Hybrid able to retain a human heart despite an extremely high dragon-blood ratio. Her stability was nevertheless treated as fragile by the Yaqi Eight Families, who feared she could lose control and become an Oni. 119 138 165

Personality

Eriyi is gentle, curious, and initially strikingly innocent about ordinary life. She asks Emiya questions ranging from shipping containers to fictional wars because anime and games had filled the gaps left by her isolation. 150 Even in danger, she can appear carefree or absorbed in her own observations, such as offering Charlotte a crepe rather than reacting to Charlotte’s Pseudo-Servant power. 175 178
