• Zhang Mingqi met Wei Yanchi in reflective surfaces, and he explained that vampires and their minions were entering through mirrors from another instance.
• Zhang Mingqi returned to Zhang Ninde and Wang Jinghe, who told her the group had been scattered around the city and that their communications with the Martial Arts Hall in Magic City were down.
• Emma appeared and asked Wei Yanchi whether Mr. 39 was safe; Wei Yanchi assured her that he was.

• Xie De used Thermal Imaging to spot more than a dozen living silhouettes in the Cemetery and found Lin Darong beside the wounded Lin Zhenyue, who was joking about his supposed death.
• Xie De gave Lin Darong Thermal Imaging goggles and equipment, instructing her to shoot the strangest silhouettes with Juelu's help.
• Xie De and Wei Yunmo visited Anbers's hospital and told Dunpli that Anbers was missing and Wei Yunmo's father was involved.
• Dunpli said Anbers had sent a letter the previous day, and 455 translated it as Anbers insulting the hospital staff and urging them to kill troublesome patients and their families.

• Lü Yating passed a crowd welcoming a returning warship and remembered that it had fled after a devastating defeat.
• Lü Yating reunited with Spring Roll and told her mother that her father was dead, then left her daughter again to finish what she had to do.
• Xu Gong told a Reactionary representative that Dr. Ping was dead and urged the Reactionaries to surrender, but the representative said the decision rested with Jefferson Morkney.
• Dr. Ping explained that sending players into the expanding instance could stop it from spreading, even if that meant repeatedly sacrificing players or prisoners.
• Xu Gong said Xie De would never agree to that plan.

Xie De chased down and pinned the instance Boss, Vampire, with a peachwood cross stake, despite initially wanting to regroup with his teammates. Vampire begged for his life, and Xie De demanded that he help end the instance.

• Xie De heard gunshots in the Cemetery, and Wei Yunmo explained that 009 had been beguiled by a demon.
• After 455 urged him to pursue the Boss, Xie De followed Vampire into the Deadwood Forest with Wei Yunmo.

• Gabriel told Xie De that he had taken him to Heaven to keep Hell from claiming his soul, but Xie De criticized Heaven for abandoning the human world.

Xie De emerged from the crisis at Cross Hospital as Hell was erased and all Instances were reclaimed. After learning Heaven had been detected, he caught Gabriel’s feather and watched Huan bring peace across the world.

• Xie De encouraged Wei Yunmo to study medicine under Anbers, and Wei Yunmo apologized before Dunpli led him away.

As Wei Yanchi invited Xie De to a concert, Wei Jianye appeared, leaving Xie De to face the awkward prospect of meeting his partner’s father after publicly announcing their relationship.

• Xie De arrived in E Country with Wei Yanchi and discussed the reclaimed instances and their dead with the authorities.
• Wei Yanchi reunited with his three senior disciples, told them he and Xie De were dating, and then caught up with Xie De.

Coal Ball recounted why he decided to assassinate Wei Yanchi, accusing him of keeping the cat from seasoned fish, taking the owner's place in bed, and getting Coal Ball kicked out of the bedroom. After seeing the owner's red marks and exhausted state the next morning, Coal Ball decided Wei Yanchi had bullied him and resolved to protect him.

• Coal Ball blamed Wei Yanchi for making the owner rinse the fish before giving it to the cat.
• Coal Ball resented Wei Yanchi for sharing the owner's bed and taking the cat's place beside him.
• Coal Ball said the owner kicked him out of the bedroom after hearing the owner ask Wei Yanchi where he was putting his hands.
• Coal Ball slipped into the bedroom the next morning and saw the exhausted owner with red marks on his collarbone and around his eyes.
• Coal Ball concluded Wei Yanchi had bullied the owner and decided to assassinate him.

After leaving G City, Xie De worked to establish the Supreme Council and confront cults while handling Wei Yanchi’s makeup exams and sending Beiwei back to school. Hu Songlin dealt with a cult leader, then accepted an umbrella from a woman who reminded him of his mother and walked into the rain.
