Ruler of the Far North

The Snow Empress rules the Far North and ranks first among its Three Great Heavenly Kings. Her true form is the Heavenly Snow Woman, and she has no kin from whom Di Tian could select a suitable Ultimate Ice soul beast. She also personally raised the Ice Bear King 4 68.

She and the Ice Empress protected the Far North during the Ancient Ice God's long absence. After meeting the restored Ice God, Gu Qinghan, they received her thanks for shouldering that responsibility 144 145.

The Ancient Ice God's Blessing

When Di Tian demanded an Ice Jade Scorpion to become Gu Yunxiao's martial soul, the Snow Empress opposed him alongside the Ice Empress. She refused to approve a sacrifice without knowing more about the child, forcing Di Tian to disclose privately that the request came from the sovereign of soul beasts 5.

Rather than surrender one of the Ice Empress's subjects, she proposed taking Gu Yunxiao to the Ancient Ice God's blessing site. She recognized his unusual importance and regarded helping him as an investment. At the ice mountain, she identified the Ice God's call and explained that he had to enter alone 6.

After Gu Yunxiao obtained the Extreme Dust Ice Bow, she identified its rare combination of ultimate ice and snow attributes. She offered to teach him snow control while the Ice Empress taught him ice control; their later visits developed into a strong relationship, and both gave him genuine instruction 8 60.

Joining Gu Yunxiao's Faction

During Gu Yunxiao's return to obtain his fourth soul ring, the Snow Empress found a dying fifty-thousand-year Frostfeather Eagle whose soul retained an affliction from an old injury. She secured its willingness to become his soul ring, though her inability to save a dying subject saddened her 66 67.

She agreed to help Gu Yunxiao explore a guarded treasure land and establish a faction in Dragon City. After receiving profound ice marrow and overcoming her tribulation, she accompanied him to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. There, she helped guard his cultivation and restrain the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass when it attacked him 68 69 71 73 75.

Dragon God Hall

As the group organized the Dragon God Hall, she adopted the public title Snow Emperor Douluo. Gu Yunxiao assigned her and the Ice Empress to remain in Dragon City, secretly oversee the Earth Dragon Sect and Heavenly Dragon Sect, and arrange the distribution of his blood to dragon-blooded soul beasts in the Far North 77 82.

She later reported the Hall's progress to Gu Yunxiao, who praised both empresses' work. During his reorganization of the faction, he appointed her Second Worship in the Offering Hall, which answered only to him and oversaw the Dragon God Hall 144 145.

Appearance

The Snow Empress appears as a slender human woman with a noble, immaculate bearing. Her arrival is accompanied by swirling snow and powdered ice 5.

Personality

The Snow Empress is composed but unyielding when defending the Far North. She withstands Di Tian's pressure, insists on an explanation before permitting harm to her subjects, and seeks an alternative that avoids sacrificing an Ice Jade Scorpion. Her sorrow over the dying Frostfeather Eagle shows that her responsibility extends beyond defending her territory 5 6 67.

Her aloof appearance conceals a playful streak. With Gu Yunxiao, she trades teasing remarks, challenges his boasts, and jokes that he lives off the soul beast sovereign. She openly appreciates his generosity and becomes increasingly affectionate as their relationship develops 67 68 70 82.

She generally dislikes humans and remains emotionally distant even around Zhang Lexuan and the others. Gu Yunxiao is an exception: his seriousness about the Dragon God Hall makes him more attractive to her, and she suggests training trusted aides to reduce his workload 173.

Toward the Ice Empress, she is patient, protective, and indulgent, treating her like a younger sister. She repeatedly reassures her and cannot bear to see her heartbroken, although she is capable of jealousy herself 70 83 174 175.
