Teaching Naomitsu

Utahime first appears as a visiting instructor for Naomitsu Zenin’s elementary-school class. At the school’s Cursed Spirit House, she demonstrates exorcism by destroying a Grade 4 spirit with one punch, then supervises the children’s attempts. Following Tachibana Hiyori’s advice, she excuses three-year-old Naomitsu from combat. When another student challenges her after defeating a weak spirit, she decisively beats him to correct his overconfidence 16.

She initially tells Naomitsu to master basic cursed-energy control before attempting Reverse Cursed Technique. After he demonstrates release, infusion, bodily coating, and a compressed blast capable of obliterating a semi-Grade 1 spirit, she promises to find him an appropriate teacher. The following morning, she secures the help of her close friend Shoko Ieiri, whose instruction enables Naomitsu to learn self-healing Reverse Cursed Technique 16 17.
