When Tanjiro saw the officers arrive, he immediately told them, "No! Please bring restraints! I'm begging you!"
The officers had no intention of listening to Tanjiro and reached out to pull him away.
"All right, get away from him!"
"Please stop! No one but me can hold this man down!" With no other choice, Tanjiro could only try to reason with the officers.
Just then, Lin Guang's voice rang out beside Tanjiro. "Hey, hey! Tanjiro, did you forget I'm here too?"
Hearing his voice, Tanjiro was overjoyed. "Senior Lin Guang! You're here! Please help me, this man..."
"I know. I saw everything. I won't give that man a chance to attack," Lin Guang said as he walked forward.
"Hey! Who exactly are you people? If you keep resisting, I'll use force!" an officer threatened, raising his baton.
"Ah! In that case, I suppose I have no choice." Lin Guang sighed and was just about to act.
Suddenly, waves of floral patterns swirled around them.
"Bewitching Blood! Scent of Visual Dreams!"
"Whoa! What are these patterns?!"
"What's going on? I can't see anything around me!"
Gradually, the officers' voices all faded away.
"What's this scent? Is someone attacking?! This is bad!" The sudden fragrance put Tanjiro on edge.
"Senior Lin Guang! There are more demons!"
"I know. Just keep an eye on that man," Lin Guang told Tanjiro as he watched a man and a woman in kimonos walk through the sea of flowers.
"Even when faced with someone who has become a 'demon,' you still called him a 'man.' And you intended to help him. Then allow me to help you as well," the female demon said.
Tanjiro did not quite understand what these two demons meant, but with Lin Guang there, he said nothing more.
Lin Guang nodded gently to the female demon in thanks. "Sorry for the trouble, Miss Tamayo."
At his words, both Tanjiro and Tamayo were startled.
Yushiro instantly stepped in front of Tamayo. "Lady Tamayo, please leave! This man might attack you!"
Tamayo did not listen to Yushiro. Instead, she looked into Lin Guang's eyes and asked, "How do you know my name?"
"I once overheard something about you at a residence of the Ubuyashiki Family. When I saw you step in to help today, I made an educated guess," Lin Guang explained.
After hearing his explanation, Tamayo said, "I see."
"Yes. Sorry for the trouble, Miss Tamayo. We still have something to take care of. We'll see you shortly."
"Of course."
With that, Lin Guang left after handing the man who had turned into a demon and his wife over to Tamayo.
Elsewhere, Muzan Kibutsuji left the mother and daughter and entered an alley.
After killing a few drunks who had been foolish enough to cross him, Muzan Kibutsuji summoned two of his subordinates.
"Bring me the head of the Demon Slayer wearing earrings that look like hanafuda cards. Is that clear?"
"Yes, sir!" "As you command!"
On the way back, Tanjiro followed behind Lin Guang in silence.
Then Lin Guang said, "I know you have questions. Go ahead and ask."
Hearing this, Tanjiro said, "Senior Lin Guang, those two were demons, so why did you..."
"Why didn't I attack them?" Lin Guang finished for him.
Tanjiro nodded without denying it.
Lin Guang continued, "Tanjiro, do you remember what I told you before? No matter what kind of demons they are, I'll eliminate them, except for demons like Nezuko."
Tanjiro's pupils contracted as he looked at Lin Guang. "Senior Lin Guang, are you saying they don't eat people either, just like Nezuko?"
Lin Guang shook his head. "I don't know. You'll probably have to ask Miss Tamayo about that. Besides, I heard she's a doctor. She might have a way to turn Nezuko back into a human."
Hearing that, Tanjiro could no longer contain himself.
He grabbed Lin Guang's hand and tried to head back to find Tamayo. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's hurry and find Miss Tamayo!"
But Tanjiro realized he was only running in place. Turning to look at Lin Guang, he found him standing as firmly as a mountain, utterly impossible to budge.
Seeing how excited Tanjiro was, Lin Guang pulled him back.
"Didn't I arrange to see Miss Tamayo again shortly? Besides, Nezuko is still waiting for us at the noodle stall."
Only then did Tanjiro remember Nezuko. "Ah! How could I forget Nezuko!"
Tanjiro and Lin Guang returned to the noodle stall and ate the udon, which was still slightly warm. Though it was not as delicious as when it had first been served, it was still quite good.
After finishing their noodles and settling the bill, Lin Guang and Tanjiro left the stall with Nezuko.
"Sorry, Nezuko. We left you all alone back there." With Lin Guang and Tanjiro each holding one of Nezuko's hands, they apologized to her.
Suddenly, Nezuko stopped and stared warily at Yushiro beneath a nearby tree.
"What's wrong?" Tanjiro asked.
Seeing Yushiro, Lin Guang turned to Tanjiro and said, "Our escort is here."
