Tanjiro followed Lin Guang's gaze and saw Yushiro standing beneath a tree.
Lin Guang and Tanjiro walked over with Nezuko.
"You're here," Lin Guang said.
Yushiro eyed Lin Guang with open hostility and said reluctantly, "Lady Tamayo told me to bring you to her. If she hadn't begged me, I wouldn't have come."
"I see. Then... please lead the way!" Lin Guang said.
At Lin Guang's words, Yushiro's expression grew even more hostile. "Tch. Isn't that woman a demon? An ugly one, too."
Lin Guang's gaze gradually cooled. Then he said, "On second thought, perhaps we should have Miss Tamayo come and lead us there herself?"
Yushiro already resented Lin Guang and the others for disturbing his life with Miss Tamayo. Those words only made him dislike Lin Guang even more.
Meanwhile, Tanjiro realized that Yushiro was talking about Nezuko. He instantly rushed right up to Yushiro, pointed at his face, and argued loudly, "There's no way Nezuko is ugly! Take a good look at her! Nezuko is known all over town for being beautiful!"
Tanjiro's sudden intervention interrupted the hostile exchange between Lin Guang and Yushiro.
Yushiro snorted. "Hmph. Let's go."
With that, Yushiro turned and led the way.
Tanjiro took Nezuko along, following behind Yushiro as he continued defending her. "No! Of course I'll come! But Nezuko definitely isn't ugly! Look at her again somewhere brighter! Let's go over there!"
Lin Guang gave a soft chuckle and followed them.
The two argued the entire way. Eventually, Yushiro led Lin Guang and Tanjiro to a stop before a wall at the end of a dead-end alley.
"Wait! I've figured it out! It's the muzzle, isn't it? Maybe it's because of the muzzle! I'll take it off so you can look at Nezuko again!" Even after stopping, Tanjiro refused to give up trying to prove that Nezuko wasn't ugly.
Yushiro ignored Tanjiro and walked straight toward the wall, then passed right into it.
"Tanjiro, let's go inside," Lin Guang said, forced to interrupt him.
Tanjiro turned to Lin Guang. "Inside? Inside where? Where did that demon go?"
Just then, Yushiro's face suddenly appeared on the wall. He said to Tanjiro disdainfully, "Hurry up and come in while no one's around!"
"Huh?!"
The sight of Yushiro's face on the wall drew a startled cry from Tanjiro.
Lin Guang stepped through without hesitation.
Seeing Lin Guang pass through the wall, Tanjiro followed without questioning it.
Once inside, Tanjiro saw a mansion standing there, with several cherry trees planted nearby.
"There's actually a mansion behind the dead end!" Tanjiro exclaimed in surprise when he saw it.
"Hurry up and get over here!" Yushiro urged Lin Guang and Tanjiro, already standing at the mansion's entrance, ready to open the door.
Lin Guang and Tanjiro walked over. Before opening the door, Yushiro made sure to add, "Listen carefully. You must not show Lady Tamayo any disrespect."
Only then did Yushiro open the door and lead Lin Guang, Tanjiro, and Nezuko inside.
"I'm back!" Yushiro said respectfully.
"Welcome back!" Tamayo nodded to Yushiro.
"I'm sorry for leaving all that for you to handle, Miss Tamayo," Lin Guang said as he sat down across from her. "How are they doing?"
"The lady is fine. We tied up her husband and locked him in the dungeon," Tamayo said.
"That's good," Lin Guang said.
Tamayo glanced at Tanjiro and Nezuko behind Lin Guang, then continued, "Let me introduce myself again. My name is Tamayo, and that boy is Yushiro. Please try to get along with him."
Tanjiro glanced at Yushiro, who was gritting his teeth beside him, and doubted Tamayo's request. That... might be impossible...
Lin Guang merely glanced at Yushiro, then smiled faintly at Tamayo. "Since you've asked, I'll do my best."
Tamayo nodded, then continued, "Well, since you've heard my name from the Ubuyashiki Family, you should also know that my goal is the same as the Demon Slayer Corps', correct?"
"Of course," Lin Guang said.
"I've made many modifications to my body and freed myself from Muzan Kibutsuji's curse. We can survive without eating people now. We only need a small amount of human blood," Tamayo said.
