As he spoke, Brock's father removed the props he had used for his disguise.
Without his disguise, Brock's father revealed a face identical to Brock's, only more weathered and experienced.
"I never expected you to be so observant. No wonder your battle with Brock was so easy. Since you've recognized me, is there something you wanted to see me about?"
Lin Guang smiled gently and said, "You're too kind. Actually, I only came to say a few words to you."
"Although I don't know why you haven't gone to see Brock since coming back, I hope you'll watch the Gym challenge between Ash Ketchum and Brock in a few days. Perhaps then you'll learn what Brock's dream is."
"That's all I wanted to say. Sorry for disturbing you."
With that, Lin Guang left Brock's father's cabin with Mio Takamiya and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. As for whether Brock's father would take his advice, Lin Guang did not know.
Night soon fell.
By then, Lin Guang and the others had reached the foot of Mt. Moon near Pewter City.
"This route is the quickest shortcut to the next city, Cerulean City. Mt. Moon also has Rock-type Pokémon, the kind used by Brock, the Trainer at Pewter Gym."
"And we might even encounter the rare Fairy Pokémon Clefairy on Mt. Moon."
As they headed toward Mt. Moon, Lin Guang told Mio Takamiya and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki about the mountain.
"I assume you know about Moon Stones?"
Hearing this, Mio Takamiya thought back over what she knew about Pokémon, then said, "Moon Stones should be special stones that let Pokémon evolve, just like Fire Stones, Water Stones, and Thunder Stones, right?"
Lin Guang smiled gently and said, "That's right.
