Cordis and Hisoka secretly followed Chrollo as he took Neon to an upscale restaurant, where Chrollo tried to charm her. Their surveillance ended when Chrollo found them dining nearby and asked what they were doing.
Chrollo dragged Cordis away from dinner with Hisoka, then drove him and Neon away. When Cordis asked to return to Gon and Killua, Chrollo told him to stay with him instead.
Chrollo brought Cordis and Neon to the auction venue, where Neon was taken away after collapsing and Chrollo continued inside. Cordis killed a man who had been secretly approaching them, while the auction’s fate remained uncertain.
Chrollo killed a second intruder and used Lovely Ghostwriter to write a prophetic poem for Cordis. Cordis read the ominous prediction, which warned of tragedy and death, while the meaning of its lines remained unclear.
Cordis left Chrollo before the coming battle and returned to Gon, where he learned Killua was angry and remembered his plan to meet Kurapika the next day. After pawning his Hunter License for money, Cordis found his chosen restaurant locked and ran into Illumi.
Cordis reunited with Illumi, then spent the next morning with Gon and Killua before meeting Kurapika at the park. Kurapika said the Spider had been wiped out, but Cordis doubted that the mobsters could have killed its strongest members.
Cordis suspected the Spider was still alive after messaging Hisoka, while Kurapika’s exhaustion led him to fall asleep on Cordis’s shoulder. When Kurapika woke and discovered he had drooled on Cordis’s expensive shirt, Cordis asked him to hand-wash it instead of paying.
Cordis told Kurapika that the Spider was still alive and learned Kurapika had given his clan’s eyes to Neon. After Gon and Killua insisted on helping Kurapika despite Cordis’s objections, Cordis let go of Gon’s hand and asked if they truly wanted to help.
Gon and Killua persuaded Cordis to let them join Kurapika’s operation against the Spider, and Cordis left after warning Kurapika to keep them safe. He returned to the Unfinished Building, where Chrollo called him inside as Nobunaga confronted Hisoka over Uvogin.
Cordis noticed that Hisoka’s prophecy concealed more than it revealed, then woke to find Chrollo and most of the Spiders gone. Hisoka kissed Cordis’s forehead and asked about his plans, and Cordis decided to visit Greed Island after Yorknew City.
Cordis chose Greed Island, but Hisoka forcibly stole his first kiss before disappearing. Nobunaga brought Gon and Killua to the Unfinished Building, where Cordis pretended they had fallen out as Nobunaga threatened them with his blade.
Chrollo confronted Cordis over his connection to the Chain User and had Machi bind him, then used Gon, Killua, and Cordis as bait in a hotel to lure the Chain User out. Leorio appeared at the Beiqi Hotel, while Cordis and Chrollo briefly discussed whether they could return to how things were before.
Pakunoda searched Gon and Killua’s memories while Chrollo confronted Cordis, who realized Chrollo had begun to see through him. A blackout let Killua briefly escape, but when the lights returned, Chrollo and Cordis were both gone, and Pakunoda suspected Cordis had joined the Chain User’s companions.
Kurapika used Chrollo as a hostage to make the Spiders obey his orders and arranged to meet Pakunoda at Lingong Airport. Cordis overheard the exchange and, with the Spiders ordered to leave, prepared to go watch Chrollo suffer.
Cordis met Kurapika at Lingong Airport and joined the others on the airship, where he mocked and tended to the injured, chained Chrollo. Chrollo asked what Cordis would do if he died, and Cordis said he would miss and remember him because he admired his strength.
Kurapika prepared to impose conditions on Chrollo, but Cordis challenged his belief that revenge could destroy the Spider and explained that he belonged to no one but Gon and Killua. Cordis left to wait for the exchange to end, while Kurapika and Chrollo were left to face the unresolved question of the Spider’s future.
Cordis realized he was penniless, fought off Hisoka’s teasing advances, and then waited for the airship negotiations to end. After Gon and Killua returned unharmed and Chrollo was released, Hisoka stripped in front of the group, and Cordis shielded the boys’ eyes.
Hisoka removed his fake Spider tattoo to challenge Chrollo, but Chrollo revealed that he could no longer use his Nen Ability, leaving Hisoka stunned. Cordis laughed at Hisoka, who pulled him close and loudly claimed he had bitten Cordis while kissing him, prompting Cordis to lash out with a chain.
Hisoka provoked Kurapika by claiming he and Cordis had slept together, leaving Cordis confused and Kurapika suspicious. Cordis tried to keep Gon and Killua from discussing how babies were made, but Hisoka whispered something to the boys and made them solemnly agree.
Cordis said goodbye to Kurapika and returned home with Gon and Killua, while Hisoka taunted Kurapika about joining them on Greed Island. As Cordis relaxed in the bath, an intruder arrived outside the window, and he prepared to attack.
Cordis was interrupted during his bath when Hisoka entered his bathroom and forced a kiss on him. Cordis attacked Hisoka with water spikes, and the chapter ended with the Greed Island arc set to begin next.
Hisoka offered Cordis a deal involving gems at the auction and said they would meet on [Greed Island]. Cordis skipped the auction, trained Gon and Killua, then struggled to enter Mr. Battera’s building without his Hunter License and headed into a pawnshop with his handkerchief.
Cordis retrieved his Hunter License and encountered Jeter Shari, whom he flattered before turning the conversation toward Greed Island. The author then announced plans to focus on a third book while continuing the Hunter novel with two weekend updates.
Cordis entered Greed Island using an old game console and was dropped from the sky onto Hisoka, who had come to find an Exorcist for Chrollo. Hisoka carried Cordis toward the City of Love.
Cordis reunited with Hisoka in the [City of Love] on [Greed Island], where Hisoka showed him around and took him to a restaurant. Hisoka offered Cordis a costly Ruby in exchange for one night together, and Cordis said it was not entirely out of the question.
