• Ken Kaneki reunited with his friends at Anteiku and announced that he planned to join the CCG because he was no longer a ghoul.
• Yoshimura Kuzen asked Ken Kaneki to explain his transformation, and Kaneki told everyone that Uchiha Itachi had helped him become human.

Touka Kirishima and Nishiki Nishio confronted them, but the fight stalled until a handsome middle-aged man approached.

• Yukiori Kōki learned that Devil Ape and Black Dog were attacking Kanou General Hospital and discovered the CCG had almost no records on former researcher Kanou Akihiro.
• Yukiori Kōki ordered investigators to protect civilians and found Juuzou Suzuya had joined the mission with a stolen Quinque.
• Enji Koma and Kaya Irimi destroyed parts of the hospital to force out whoever had taken their manager, while Renji Yomo watched from a rooftop.
