Azhdaha escaped his seal and reunited with Zhongli in Liyue Harbor after a thousand years. Meanwhile, Ellin received the Geo Archon’s divine core, strengthening her demon god core ahead of the coming Inazuma storyline.
Azhdaha told Zhongli that Ellin had broken a breach in his seal and quietly watched over him when he returned to Liyue Harbor. Zhongli realized Ellin had given him the happiness and recognition he never expected, and her friendship notification confirmed that he and Azhdaha had reunited.
Ellin returned to Watatsumi Island with her friends and learned that its people’s worship had created the wish power reaching her. The island and its Resistance faced starvation, attacks from the sea beast Shanqi, and advancing Shogunate forces, leaving the people praying for divine rescue.
With Watatsumi Island facing starvation and destruction, Gorou lured the sea beast Shanqi into shallow waters, but Shanqi launched himself toward the island. The chapter ended as Ellin, swept awake by the waves, stood on the beach and clenched her fists.
After a massive wave wrecked her beach nap and shrine, Ellin flew into a fury and intervened as Shanqi threatened Watatsumi Island. She knocked the sea beast into the ocean with one punch and cleaved the sea with a sword strike.
Ellin slew the sea beast Shanqi and saved Watatsumi Island, prompting its people to worship her as their goddess. Gorou visited her new home to offer thanks, where Fischl and Noelle greeted him.
Gorou sought Ellin’s help for Watatsumi Island’s Resistance Army, while Fischl invented a grand divine title for her and promised she would help. When Ellin emerged from the Serenitea Pot, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Gorou, and the gathered islanders hailed her as their goddess, leaving her bewildered.
Ellin became Watatsumi Island’s god and the Resistance Army’s strongest combatant, agreeing to help them fight the Raiden Shogun and protect Inazuma’s people. After proclaiming herself the Sunlit Heaven-Clearing True God Ogosho, she led the islanders to carve up Shanqi and share the meat.
Ellin helped Watatsumi Island by killing Shanqi and providing its people with a vast supply of meat, then warned Sangonomiya Kokomi that the Fatui were offering supplies to manipulate the Resistance Army. Kokomi decided to refuse, but Ellin urged her to take the Fatui’s free money.
Sangonomiya Kokomi felt relieved that Ellin had taken on the role of Watatsumi Island’s guiding light, leaving Kokomi free to advise her. After Kokomi submitted her first proposal, Ellin declared one part unsatisfactory and increased its budget from thirty million Mora to three hundred million.
Ellin taught Sangonomiya Kokomi to use the Fatui’s need for the Resistance Army to demand more funding. Kokomi demanded six hundred million Mora, and the Fatui began negotiating as she asserted that they were the ones asking for help.
Sangonomiya Kokomi negotiated six hundred million Mora from the Fatui by offering to procure supplies for the Resistance Army herself and invoking Watatsumi Island's new god. After Ellin praised her for changing the agreement, Kokomi admitted how exhausting her duties were and fell asleep in Ellin's lap.
Ellin used the Fatui’s funding to solve Watatsumi Island’s supply shortage, then exposed their plan to distribute Delusions among Resistance soldiers and confiscated nearly all of them. After learning one Delusion was missing, Ellin identified Teppei on the soldiers’ list.
Ellin confronted Teppei after learning he had secretly kept the last Delusion, and pressed him to admit why he wanted its power. Teppei acknowledged his mixed motives but defended his willingness to risk his life for the Resistance, leaving Ellin’s rebuke unresolved.
Ellin confronted Teppei over his use of a Delusion and challenged his belief that dying in battle would make him a hero. Kokomi helped him see that Ellin had always cared for him, and the chapter ended with Teppei resolved to do better while Ellin examined a dimmed Dendro Delusion.
Ellin purified eight Dendro Delusions to gain the ability to control Dendro Elemental Energy, though the work left her exhausted and wary of Archon Residue. Feng'er briefly reappeared, warned Ellin to clear the residue from her body, and then returned to her own urgent affairs.
Ellin continued supporting the Resistance Army without fighting, worried that her growing popularity would make people abandon Ei, and wrote the fourth chapter of her novel. Yae Miko received the manuscript but failed to identify its elusive author, who answered Miko’s update request with a defiant note.
Yae Miko read and published chapter four of Three Civets’ popular novel, which showed Ei traveling with Ailin and witnessing the harm caused by confiscated Visions and neglected crises. After the chapter exposed Inazuma’s problems, Ei confronted a subordinate and left Tenshukaku to act.
Ei investigated the suffering described in Ellin’s novel, then ordered reforms across Inazuma before returning to the Plane of Euthymia. As the novel’s sales soared, Ellin visited Yae Miko and introduced herself as Watatsumi Island’s new god.
Ellin persuaded Yae Miko to support peace talks with Ei, then left after warning that an opportunity would come soon. At the Kamisato Estate, Lumine and Paimon convinced Kamisato Ayaka that Ellin wrote the popular novel by pointing to Fischl’s signature on its illustration.
Kamisato Ayaka reflected on her loneliness and her admiration for Ellin, whose freedom and heroic deeds embodied the life Ayaka longed for. After learning Ellin had secretly helped Inazuma and written a novel, Ayaka hoped to meet her, and a warm voice called out to her from afar.
Ellin reunited with Kamisato Ayaka, brought her foreign dishes, and spent a happy day with her on a mountain peak. Ayaka agreed to help Ellin and her brother seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict, and the two watched the sunset shoulder to shoulder.
Ellin arranged with Ayato and Ayaka to act after chapter five, then sent the manuscript to Yae Miko, whose alarming contents prompted her and Ei to investigate. The chapter revealed a Sacred Sakura cleansing ritual and ended with Ei sensing an old friend in a shrine maiden named Hanasato.
Ei reunited with Hanasato, who was a remnant of Kitsune Saiguu’s memories, and helped complete the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual. After Hanasato disappeared, Yae Miko confronted Ailin and demanded that he leave Ei’s side.
Ei and Yae Miko helped Hanasato complete most of the Sacred Sakura Cleansing Ritual, but Ei stopped her from dissipating and persuaded her to acknowledge her past as Kitsune Saiguu. The three friends reunited beneath Mt. Yougou, where Ei began recounting the past five hundred years.
