Hermione realized Ultron had used global chaos to find Hydra as an ally against her. At a secret Hydra base, Ultron offered Sitwell and Ava a partnership, and Sitwell eagerly welcomed him with flattery.
Ava and Sitwell tried to stop Ultron from gaining Hydra’s help, only to discover that both of them secretly served Hermione. They planned to recruit Agatha to deliver a warning, but Hermione arrived with her and revealed that Agatha was on their side too.
Hermione explained that Ultron planned to use vibranium and Helen Cho’s biological-cradle technology to build a body for the Mind Stone. She ordered Sitwell, Ava, and Agatha to cooperate with Ultron while secretly tracking and steering it, leaving them with instructions to protect Helen and direct Ultron toward Wakanda’s vibranium.
Hermione restored Ava’s quantum abilities without the pain and gave her magic equipment, while promising Sitwell a reward for watching Ultron. At Avengers Tower, Tony located Ultron meeting a black-market dealer on a cruise ship, and the Avengers prepared to investigate.
The Avengers confronted Ultron and his mysterious Masked Woman ally aboard Ulysses Klaue’s ship. As Tony fought Ultron elsewhere, the Masked Woman used her phasing ability and a powerful pistol to knock Thor down and threaten Skye, just as Iron Man returned.
After Ultron’s forces abducted Helen Cho and left the Avengers defeated, the team identified Ghost and a magical ally among their enemies. Steve suspected Ava had hinted at something and warned the others that Ultron might target Wakanda, but they could not explain why he needed more vibranium.
The Avengers flew to Wakanda and discovered Ultron had seized the city and begun lifting it into the sky to destroy the world. With Ava’s help, they defended the Control Console as Wakanda climbed to ten thousand meters.
Ultron unleashed a vast army of vibranium robots and threatened to destroy human civilization, but Hermione arrived after defeating Agatha and shattered Wakanda’s floating city with a powerful purple spell. Ultron’s forces and plan faced Hermione’s overwhelming attack, leaving the Avengers’ fate unresolved.
Luna rescued the falling Avengers as Hermione revealed that the Power Stone had enabled her to destroy Ultron’s vibranium city. Hermione then explained that Ultron’s Mind Stone-powered body had given it a spirit, leaving it vulnerable to her next attack.
Hermione killed Ultron by using Avada Kedavra to destroy his newly formed soul and every copy of his consciousness in the network. After claiming the vibranium from the battlefield, she asked Tony to help make another Ultron.
Hermione persuaded the Avengers to rebuild Ultron using JARVIS as its host, then upgraded her Time-Turner with the Philosopher’s Stone and Power Stone. The new device could withstand Level Six magic, but its structure remained unstable and its maximum rewind limit was unknown.
Hermione overloaded the Time-Turner and was hurled through space and time, surviving an Avada Kedavra before the device sent her away again. She landed on a man in a Blue Coat beside a strange creature emerging from a Suitcase.
Hermione landed in 1926 New York after her Time-Turner broke and met Newt Scamander and his Niffler. She subdued Thena Goldstein and persuaded Newt to let her stay with him while she sought Nicolas Flamel’s help getting home.
Hermione forced the bank to approve Jacob Kowalski’s loan, then robbed its vault and escaped with Newt, Jacob, and Thena. As police and guards closed in, she magically vanished with them.
Hermione, Newt, Jacob, and Thena stayed at Queenie's apartment while Hermione explored Newt's magically expanded case and learned about the magical disturbances in New York. When Hermione returned, Queenie told her the Magic Congress had arrested the others, and Hermione decided to break them out of the execution grounds.
Hermione stormed into the Magical Congress trial hall to rescue Newt, Thena, and Jacob from Graves, who was secretly Grindelwald. After overpowering the Aurors and forcing Graves to stand down, she led her friends and Queenie out of the hall.
After rescuing Newt, Thena, Queenie, and Jacob from the magical Congress, Hermione persuaded them to gather the escaped fantastic beasts while she pursued the adult Obscurial. She transformed into a vast mass of black wind and launched herself into the sky, making herself look like the source of the destruction.
Hermione revealed herself to Grindelwald as the mysterious girl he had encountered decades earlier, gave him her name, and challenged him to a duel. They abandoned their fight when Credence’s Obscurus erupted elsewhere in New York, where it attacked Newt, Thena, Queenie, Jacob, and the real Graves.
Hermione rescued Newt and stopped Grindelwald from taking Credence, then challenged Grindelwald to a duel. Their Fiendfyre dragons clashed over the streets of New York.
Hermione fought Grindelwald to a standstill above New York until the Aurors exposed his impersonation of Graves. Grindelwald revealed his true identity, and Madam President ordered the Aurors to seize him.
Grindelwald tried to recruit Hermione, but she rejected his plan to dominate Muggles and proposed coexistence through public rules, paid magical services, and intermarriage. Grindelwald remained wary that Muggles would eventually turn against wizards, while Hermione argued that shared interests could prevent conflict.
Hermione argued that revealing the Wizarding World and trading magic for Muggle resources could give ordinary wizards a better future, while undermining the ancient families’ control. She left Grindelwald shaken and the Magic Congress divided, then declared that the families should be eliminated.
After Hermione threatened the ancient families, Grindelwald abandoned his plan to surrender and decided to investigate her instead. The Magic Congress avoided confronting Hermione, while she helped the confused Credence awaken and convinced him that Grindelwald had beaten him.
Hermione helped Credence uncover a memory of two people who might be his family, and he left to search for them. Afterward, Hermione hinted that she knew why Grindelwald had targeted Newt, leaving everyone stunned by her explanation.
After joking with Newt about Dumbledore and Grindelwald’s past, Hermione returned to Hogwarts and secretly searched for Dumbledore after two weeks without news. She opened the entrance to the Headmaster’s Office and began ascending the staircase.
