Arc 6The Tyrant’s Tomb

Lin En outmaneuvered the Lord of Crimson, captured her avatar, and learned of her plan to claim the King of the Red Moon’s authority. In the Tyrant’s Tomb, he met Firstborn, obtained a ring of Origin Substances, and returned to the Second Layer as Firstborn prepared to act against a coalition of divine families.

  • Lin En traded a fake Hana Ye and an explosive fake box for Tyrant’s flesh, then severed the Crimson Shadow’s avatar from the Lord of Crimson and captured her in the Warp.
  • Lin En bound the Crimson Shadow to a painful new body and questioned Shinsen Saya, who explained the Lord of Crimson’s plan to claim the King of the Red Moon’s authority through a suitable vessel.
  • Lin En resolved to protect Hana Ye and strengthen himself, then descended into his vessel and awoke in the Seventh Layer with Firstborn in Tyrant’s Tomb.
  • Lin En and Firstborn survived the tomb’s monsters, and Firstborn revealed that he was the Tyrant’s Vessel and had been seeking the Tyrant’s authority.
  • Lin En fought Firstborn until his vessel neared collapse, then learned about the Tyrant’s bloodline, the seven majesties’ flight, and Firstborn’s suspicions about the vanished Sun and stars.
  • Firstborn led Lin En to the Tyrant Family’s ruins and uncovered three full-sequence, space-related Origin Substances, offering them to Lin En in exchange for marriage.
  • Firstborn implanted his three Origin Substances, opened a rift to the Second Layer, and gave Lin En a ring containing the Origin Substances and an Image Crystal.
  • Lin En left through the rift, while Firstborn told the Gravekeepers not to pursue him and ordered the Knights of God to investigate events in Clockwork City.
Chapters 126–150 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 126Shakedown!

Lin En broke free of the borrowed domain, killed the man wielding the Black Sword, and confronted the Lord of Crimson, who wanted Hana Ye returned. The Lord offered him a Reality Anchoring Origin Substance and then proposed the Flesh of the [Tyrant] in exchange for Hana Ye.

  • Lin En caught the Black Sword, broke free of the chains, and killed the man before the presence descending into him could save him.
  • The Lord of Crimson manifested through the sword and mistook Lin En for a Great Demon from her realm.
  • Lin En refused to hand over Hana Ye without a sufficient payment and rejected the Lord's offer of territory on the ninth level of the Spirit Realm.
  • The Lord of Crimson offered Lin En a Sequence Seven [Reality Anchoring] Origin Substance from beneath the Castle.
  • The Lord of Crimson offered the Flesh of the [Tyrant], one of the seven Outer Gods, if Lin En handed Hana Ye over.

Ch. 127Something for Nothing!

Lin En accepted the Red Moon successor’s offer of Tyrant flesh in exchange for staying out of her affairs and Hana Ye, then arranged a replica to use in the exchange. He left Mirror with the unconscious real Hana Ye and prepared to take the replica to the ruined Castle, hoping to gain the offered items without giving up the girl.

  • The Red Moon successor showed Lin En a sealed piece of the Tyrant’s flesh and offered it, along with another item, if he stopped interfering and handed over Hana Ye.
  • Lin En agreed to the trade, while Mirror reported that she had brought the real Hana Ye safely to the Grand Graveyard.
  • Lin En ordered Mirror to create a realistic Hana Ye replica, conceal its aura, and bring it to him.
  • Mirror delivered the replica to Lin En, who implanted it with a tentacle and flesh containing Outer God’s Blood so he could control its aura and detonate it.
  • Lin En told Mirror to leave the unconscious real Hana Ye behind and headed toward the ruined Castle with the replica.

Ch. 128Return!

Lin En and the crimson silhouette tried to trade Hana Ye for Tyrant's flesh, but both planted explosive contingencies and detonated their offerings. Lin En escaped with a piece of Tyrant's flesh and seized the Black Sword as reality collapsed, threatening to drag the silhouette somewhere with him.

  • Lin En and the crimson silhouette agreed to exchange Hana Ye and Tyrant's flesh simultaneously, but discovered that both the girl and the box were fakes after their hidden explosives detonated.
  • The blasts devastated the Shattered Castle and badly injured Lin En and the crimson silhouette, while a piece of Tyrant's flesh fell into the ruins.
  • Lin En used a tentacle to retrieve the flesh, then fled as the crimson silhouette pursued him with the Black Sword.
  • The Black Sword pierced Lin En as reality collapsed, but he gripped it and wrapped his will around it, threatening to pull the silhouette somewhere with him before ordering her projection to return.

Ch. 129I've been severed from my true self!

Lin En severed the Crimson Shadow from her true self and dragged her avatar into the Warp, where she recognized him as the Lord of Crawling. After the Demon Hunting Corps found a ruined castle and a fragment of the Yellow Robe, Lin En began questioning the captive Crimson Shadow about her new state.

  • Lin En tore the Crimson Shadow's avatar out of the Black Sword, severing its connection to her true self and plunging her consciousness into darkness.
  • In the Ninth Layer of the Spirit Realm, the Red Moon split with a black fissure as the Crimson Shadow's true self cried out and realized her avatar had been severed.
  • The Crimson Shadow awoke in the Warp, saw Lin En's monstrous form, and recognized him as the Lord of Crawling, an Outer God she had believed dead.
  • Ophiel arrived at the ruined castle with the Demon Hunting Corps, discovered signs of a major reality collapse, and received a fragment of the Yellow Robe.
  • Lin En questioned the Crimson Shadow in the Warp, and she told him that she had been severed from her true self.

Ch. 130Will Your True Self Feel It Too?

Lin En captured the Crimson Shadow and demanded to learn the Lord of Crimson's plans, but she refused and urged him to bring Eternal Night to the mortal world. He sustained her with Black Mist and threatened to torment her before sending her back so her true self would feel what she endured.

  • Lin En explained that severing the Crimson Shadow from her true self had left her consciousness cut off and asked her to reveal her true self's plans.
  • Lin En showed the Crimson Shadow the imprisoned goddess, frightening her, and said he would not let anyone take what belonged to him.
  • The Crimson Shadow urged Lin En to kill the Valkyrie and unleash Eternal Night, but Lin En denied being the Lord of Crawling and insisted he was human.
  • The Crimson Shadow refused to answer Lin En's questions about whether the Lord of Crimson planned to descend through Hana Ye.
  • When the Crimson Shadow said her consciousness would soon dissipate, Lin En used Black Mist to stabilize her and threatened to make her obedient before returning her to her true self.

Ch. 131A perfect body modification!

Lin En stripped the Crimson Shadow of her power and rebuilt her soul into a physical body under his control. She awoke in her new body, horrified, as her sanity collapsed.

  • The Crimson Shadow tried to activate her power and kill herself, but Lin En suppressed her attempt and offered to release her if she revealed her true self's plans.
  • The Crimson Shadow insulted Lin En and refused to cooperate, so he began replacing the power in her soul with his own black mist.
  • The Crimson Shadow lost consciousness as Lin En devoured her remaining power and began stitching her soul into a broken body.
  • The Crimson Shadow intermittently regained consciousness during the painful process, then passed out again when she saw Lin En working on her body.
  • Lin En finished the transformation, and the Crimson Shadow awoke with a flesh-and-blood body as her sanity fell by 100.

Ch. 132The difference is, I won't be too rough with you!

Lin En gave the Crimson Shadow a sculpted young woman’s body, restored her damaged soul, and magnified her senses while keeping her bound. He demanded to know her plans, but she refused, and he promised he would not be too rough if she cooperated.

  • Lin En showed the Crimson Shadow her new body and explained that he had bound her soul to it, leaving her unable to leave the black-mist realm.
  • The Crimson Shadow struggled against her restraints and discovered that movement caused her intense pain.
  • Lin En told her he had magnified her senses a hundredfold, and she cursed him and struggled in rage.
  • Lin En nicknamed her Little Red and asked her to reveal her plans in exchange for being spared further mistreatment.
  • The Crimson Shadow accused Lin En of lying and refused to cooperate, so he said he would not be too rough if she behaved.

Ch. 133Lin En's Cup

Lin En tormented the Lord of Crimson with a cruel game while Shinsen Saya continued trying to escape the black mist. When Saya investigated the cries from next door, the mist turned transparent and Lin En greeted her.

  • Lin En taunted the Lord of Crimson and began a game that threatened to continue until she lost consciousness.
  • The Lord of Crimson endured the first wave of intensified sensations and feared she might not survive.
  • Shinsen Saya failed again to reconnect with the Great Sun and wondered whether Lin En was the Lord of Crawling.
  • Saya heard distressed cries from the room next door and went to investigate.
  • The black mist turned transparent, and Lin En greeted Saya as the Valkyrie.

Ch. 134She seemed to want to become an Outer God!

Lin En humiliated an avatar of the Lord of Crimson in front of Shinsen Saya and revealed that she planned to enter the Real World. The chapter ended with Lin En suspecting that she wanted to seize the King of the Red Moon’s authority and become an Outer God.

  • Shinsen Saya saw Lin En tormenting a captive girl, who recognized her and was overwhelmed with shame and fear.
  • Lin En identified the girl as the Lord of Crimson, shocking Shinsen Saya and intensifying the captive’s anguish.
  • Lin En admitted the captive was an avatar he had forcibly imprisoned and said he was using her to punish disobedience.
  • Shinsen Saya questioned why Lin En had captured the Lord of Crimson, and he explained that she was encroaching on the world Saya protected.
  • Lin En revealed that the Lord of Crimson likely intended to enter the Real World through a Vessel and seek the King of the Red Moon’s authority and divine status.

Ch. 135Authority!

Lin En persuaded Shinsen Saya to explain how the Lord of Crimson might become an Outer God by finding the King of the Red Moon's corpse and the authorities left behind by the ancient gods. When Shinsen Saya mentioned the Watcher of Emotions, Lin En abruptly stopped and demanded to know who she meant.

  • Lin En argued that the Lord of Crimson would be a greater threat to the world than he was and persuaded Shinsen Saya to answer his questions.
  • Shinsen Saya said the Lord of Crimson could become an Outer God by finding the King of the Red Moon's corpse and inheriting surviving authorities.
  • Shinsen Saya explained that an authority embodied a concept and gave its holder power over everything associated with it.
  • Shinsen Saya began describing powerful gods from the Old Days, including the Watcher of Emotions, and Lin En interrupted to ask who it was.

Ch. 136The corpse of an Outer God!

Lin En questioned Shinsen Saya about the dead Outer Gods and learned that their authorities remained in their corpses, though they rejected anyone but their masters. Shinsen Saya revealed what she knew about the Unclean One and the King of the Red Moon, leaving Lin En without the corpse locations but with a possible lead through the descendants of their vessels.

  • Lin En asked whether every god's authority was unique, and Shinsen Saya explained that the Old Gods were mostly dead after pursuing the Lord of Crawling into the Great Rift.
  • Shinsen Saya questioned what Lin En was, and he threatened her when she steered the conversation back to his secrets.
  • Shinsen Saya revealed that she possessed knowledge of the Unclean One's corpse and said its authority remained, but she had hidden the corpse and erased her memory of its location.
  • Shinsen Saya explained that descendants of the Outer Gods' vessels might inherit their masters' authorities by using their bloodlines or flesh to create suitable vessels.
  • Shinsen Saya said the Crimson Shadow was not truly the King of the Red Moon's foremost follower, though she had some connection to him and could summon his blessing.
  • Shinsen Saya said the locations of the King of the Red Moon, the World Ruler, and the Broken Ring were unknown, and any clues might lie with their vessels' descendants.

Ch. 137Look how well we get along!

Lin En and Shinsen Saya discussed the Lord of Crimson’s plan to claim the King of the Red Moon’s authority and agreed that her success would threaten them both. After ending their conversation, Lin En resolved to protect Hana Ye and prepare for the Lord of Crimson’s descent, then resumed tormenting a girl who refused to talk.

  • Lin En asked Shinsen Saya how she would plan to recover the King of the Red Moon’s corpse, and she described concealing intentions, infiltrating human forces, and preparing a vessel for the authority.
  • Shinsen Saya warned that if the Lord of Crimson successfully claimed the authority, neither she nor Lin En could match her, while Lin En joked that they shared common interests.
  • Lin En decided to protect Hana Ye, deal with the spies inside the Human Race, strengthen himself, and create a new vessel before the Lord of Crimson could descend.
  • Shinsen Saya demanded that Lin En let her connect to the Great Sun, but he sealed off her room and left her pounding on the barrier.
  • Lin En found that the girl he had been rewarding was near collapse, restored her consciousness, and asked whether she still refused to talk.

Ch. 138The Seventh Layer of the Spirit Realm!

Lin En returned to the Spirit Realm in his Vessel and found himself in the arms of a strange boy, whom he attacked after fearing the boy had taken advantage of his unconscious body. The boy introduced himself as Firstborn and revealed that they were in the Seventh Layer of the Spirit Realm.

  • Lin En left Crimson Shadow trapped with the tentacles in the dark room and returned to the Great Rift.
  • Lin En spent 500 Satiety to descend into his Vessel, then woke while Firstborn was carrying him through the darkness.
  • Lin En struck Firstborn twice with rising uppercuts while demanding to know whether he had touched or violated him.
  • After Firstborn denied touching him, Lin En questioned him about his name and their location.
  • Firstborn called himself Firstborn and explained that they were in the Seventh Layer of the Spirit Realm.

Ch. 139Tyrant's Tomb!

Lin En learned that he had fallen into Tyrant’s Tomb in the Seventh Layer and that carrying Tyrant’s flesh had likely drawn him there. After he exposed his unusually active piece of flesh, the darkness stirred and attacked him and Firstborn.

  • Firstborn told Lin En that they were in Tyrant’s Tomb, a forbidden zone deep in the Seventh Layer where escaping would be difficult.
  • Firstborn explained that Tyrant’s corruption had seeped through all nine layers and that carrying Tyrant’s flesh could warp someone into the tomb.
  • Firstborn revealed that he also possessed Tyrant’s flesh, while Lin En realized he had acquired his own piece in a trade.
  • Lin En took out his highly active piece of flesh, causing the surrounding darkness to grow oppressive, then returned it to his ring.
  • Firstborn gave Lin En a burning stick and tried to lead him to his base, but an eerie wind extinguished their campfire.
  • A person-sized claw burst from the darkness and swept toward Lin En and Firstborn.

Ch. 140Turmoil in the Darkness!

Lin En unleashed his Outer God presence to drive away the monsters in the darkness, but the strain reduced his vessel’s compatibility to 21%. After the danger passed, the boy asked whether Lin En had driven the monsters away.

  • The boy shielded Lin En from a Seventh Layer monster’s attacks, but countless creatures swarmed and buried him.
  • A giant claw struck Lin En, sending him flying and breaking most of his bones before he recovered.
  • Lin En threw his torch into the darkness, revealed the monsters, and released his immense Outer God presence to make them retreat.
  • Lin En endured a ten-second standoff until the giant and its monsters withdrew, then returned to his human form.
  • A system notification warned Lin En that his vessel’s compatibility had fallen to 21%, and he resolved to make a new vessel.
  • The boy called from the darkness and asked Lin En whether he had driven the monsters away.

Ch. 141Want to see what's underneath?

Lin En met Firstborn again after the darkness receded, learned that he had spent ten years in the Seventh Layer with only three origin substances, and got the Black Sword back. Firstborn mistook Lin En for a woman, and Lin En teased him by offering to show what was under his clothes.

  • Firstborn emerged unharmed and told Lin En he had only three origin substances, having removed the later ones to perfect his flawed third substance.
  • Firstborn explained that he cultivated [Undying] and described it as one of his family's legacy sequences, alongside [Deathless], [Ageless], and [Immortal].
  • Firstborn returned the Black Sword, [Sorrow of Cursed Fire], to Lin En and said he had hoped to find someone to talk to.
  • Firstborn assumed Lin En was a woman, and Lin En teased him by asking if he wanted to see what was underneath his clothes.

Ch. 142Lin Yin Lucifal!

Lin En teased Firstborn by pretending to expose himself, then asked him how to escape the Spirit Realm's forbidden zone. Firstborn refused out of spite, but reacted strangely when Lin En gave his full name, Lin Yin Lucifal.

  • Lin En pretended to pull open his clothes to punish Firstborn for calling him a girl, but Firstborn shut his eyes and refused to look.
  • Lin En asked about the monsters, and Firstborn explained that they were echoes of the Tyrant's dying will, endlessly reborn from resentment.
  • Firstborn said he knew how to leave but would not go until he had perfected his third piece of origin substance.
  • Firstborn refused to tell Lin En the way out because Lin En had teased him, then asked for Lin En's name.
  • Lin En gave his name as Lin Yin Lucifal, and Firstborn opened his eyes with a startled expression.

Ch. 143How About Marrying Me?

Firstborn offered to help Lin En escape in exchange for marriage, but Lin En punched him and challenged his defenses. After Firstborn revealed his [Undying] ability, Lin En’s attacks failed, and a terrifying aura began emerging from him.

  • Firstborn asked Lin En to marry him as a condition for helping him leave, and Lin En punched him across the ground.
  • Firstborn revealed that he had three Origin Substances and challenged Lin En to break through his defenses.
  • Firstborn activated [Undying], covering his body in silver markings that absorbed Lin En’s punches and kick.
  • Lin En admitted he could not break through Firstborn’s defenses, but a calamity-like aura rose from him and fractured the surrounding space.

Ch. 144The Firstborn's True Identity!

Lin En pushed his Vessel beyond its limits to defeat the Firstborn and force him to talk. The Firstborn warned Lin En to kill anyone who recognized the power he used, then revealed that he was the [Tyrant]'s Vessel.

  • Lin En unleashed the Lord of Crawling's power and battered the Firstborn until his [Undying] defenses began to crack.
  • Lin En stopped his final punch just before it struck, as his compatibility fell to 13.5% and his Vessel neared collapse.
  • The Firstborn recovered enough to explain that he carried twenty-six [Undying] Sequences, then asked Lin En why he had spared him.
  • The Firstborn warned Lin En to kill anyone who recognized his power, even a close friend or family member.
  • The Firstborn introduced himself as the [Tyrant]'s Vessel.

Ch. 145Nobody Believes the Truth!

Lin En and the Firstborn discussed their awakened ancestral bloodlines, and the Firstborn explained why he wanted Lin En to have his children. The chapter ended with Lin En shooting the Firstborn in the forehead.

  • The Firstborn guessed that Lin En belonged to the Lucifal Vessel Family, while Lin En claimed he was the Lord of Crawling and the Firstborn dismissed it as a joke.
  • The Firstborn revealed that he had awakened a highly pure Tyrant bloodline but struggled to control its power.
  • The Firstborn explained that their families' bloodlines had drawn them together in [Tyrant's Tomb].
  • The Firstborn said he needed heirs to preserve the Tyrant Family and believed Lin En's bloodline could suppress his other blood in their descendants.
  • The Firstborn proposed that he and Lin En become a couple and have powerful children, and Lin En shot him in the forehead.

Ch. 146They Were Looking for Something!

Lin En traveled through the distorted darkness with the Firstborn, who explained his search for the Tyrant’s authority and revealed that the seven majesties may have found something that drove them to flee. The Firstborn said the Tyrant’s lingering thoughts conveyed fear, resentment, and a failed attempt to pass on information.

  • Lin En threatened to kill the Firstborn if he tried to use Origin Substance to have children with him.
  • The Firstborn agreed to lead Lin En out of the maze-like darkness after losing their fight.
  • The Firstborn told Lin En he had searched for the Tyrant’s authority for more than ten years, hoping to find it and perhaps become a second Tyrant.
  • The Firstborn explained that records suggested the seven majesties had found something, nearly gone mad, and tried to return to the Warp before the gods of the Old Days killed them.
  • The Firstborn said the Tyrant’s lingering thoughts confirmed that the majesties had been fleeing and revealed the Tyrant’s fear and failed effort to pass on information.

Ch. 147Was the Sun Really Destroyed by the Lord of Crawling?

Firstborn questioned the accepted account that the Lord of Crawling destroyed the Sun, proposing that the Sun's disappearance may have been meant to protect something or summon stronger hunters. Lin En wondered whether the missing gods were trapped beyond the black mist, while Firstborn explained that the Valkyrie was a new human god who had surprised the old divine families; he ended by hinting that his information was not free.

  • Firstborn told Lin En that historical records might be distorted and questioned whether the Lord of Crawling had truly destroyed the Sun.
  • Firstborn theorized that the Sun's disappearance and the vanished stars could be connected to sending a warning that might draw stronger hunters toward the world.
  • Lin En wondered whether the missing gods were beyond the black mist in the Warp, where an invisible force had always prevented him from exploring further.
  • Firstborn said the Valkyrie was a new god born after Eternal Night and that the old divine families were not grateful to her.
  • Lin En asked whether Firstborn had shared his knowledge for free, and Firstborn said it was not quite free.

Ch. 148The firstborn of a divine family!

Lin En and Firstborn exchanged information about the Lord of Crimson’s suspected plans and agreed to oppose any threat to their families. Firstborn led Lin En to the Tyrant’s Tomb and revealed that he was the firstborn of the divine family responsible for killing the Tyrant and destroying its headquarters.

  • Lin En told Firstborn his suspicions that the Lord of Crimson planned to use the King of the Red Moon’s Vessel to claim her Authority.
  • Firstborn agreed that he would kill the Great Demon if she tried to descend through his body, and offered to help Lin En in exchange for future assistance.
  • Lin En told Firstborn to stay away from where he lived and asked him to lead the way out.
  • Firstborn brought Lin En to the ruins at the center of the Tyrant’s Tomb and explained that they had once served as the Tyrant Family’s headquarters.
  • Firstborn revealed that he was also the tomb keeper and the firstborn of the divine family that had killed the Tyrant and destroyed its headquarters.

Ch. 149Lin En refused a shady deal!

Firstborn revealed that he was the Tyrant Family’s last surviving member and offered to send Lin En out of the ruins using spatial origin substance. Lin En was stunned by Firstborn’s immense stash, but shot him when he offered it all in exchange for becoming his wife.

  • Firstborn told Lin En that his birth had cost the Tyrant Family dearly and that its bloodline had otherwise died out.
  • At the center of the ruins, Firstborn dug up a stone box containing three full-sequence, space-related pieces of origin substance.
  • Firstborn explained that high-sequence origin substance taken from another person could run wild unless specially treated.
  • Lin En asked for Firstborn’s unwanted origin substance, and Firstborn offered him ownerless full-sequence pieces as well.
  • Firstborn said he would give Lin En everything if Lin En became his wife, so Lin En shot him in the forehead.

Ch. 150The Man Most Likely to Become a God!

Lin En received the three spatial Origin Substances from Firstborn and returned through a rift to the Second Layer. After Lin En left, Firstborn learned of a coalition plotting against him and ordered an investigation into Clockwork City.

  • Firstborn violently implanted his three Origin Substances into his body, briefly gaining power on the level of six Origin Substances.
  • Firstborn opened a rift to the Second Layer and gave Lin En a ring containing the Origin Substances and an Image Crystal for contacting him.
  • Lin En refused Firstborn's offer to visit, accepted the ring, and left through the rift.
  • Gravekeepers arrived, and Firstborn told them not to pursue Lin En, then asked about the Gods' Families alliance.
  • A knight reported that several families had formed a coalition and that Firstborn's younger brother had contacted them; Firstborn decided it was time to act.
  • Firstborn ordered the Knights of God to investigate recent events in Clockwork City.
