• Bai Yaoyao sensed someone approaching and spotted a young Taoist, who explained that his home was a Taoist temple on the mountain.
• Bai Yaoyao and the others invited the hungry Taoist to eat with them, and he told them his sect had run out of food and could not defeat a powerful mutant beast.
• Zhi Rui eagerly listed his senior brothers' abilities and strengths, prompting Dark Night to realize he had divulged nearly everything about his sect.

• Bai Yaoyao gave Zhi Yi and the others thermal clothing and combat gear before they left the Taoist Temple.
• Bai Yaoyao and her group encountered a Northeast China Mutant Tiger on the mountain path, and Zhi Yi explained that their master was the tiger’s friend.
• The Mutant Tiger led Bai Yaoyao to her cave and revealed that she could speak after evolving.

Bai Yaoyao agreed to care for a dying Mutant Tiger’s cub and witnessed the mother leave her beast core as a final gift. She buried the Mutant Tiger and brought the cub back to her companions, then remembered City L Base.

• The Mutant Tiger offered Bai Yaoyao beast cores and a fruit in exchange for caring for her cub, and Bai Yaoyao accepted.
• Bai Yaoyao offered the Mutant Tiger Spring Water, but the mother refused it and asked her to give it to the frail Tiger Cub instead.
• After Bai Yaoyao carried the sleeping Tiger Cub outside, she heard a roar and returned to find that the Mutant Tiger had dug out her own beast core.

• Bai Yaoyao turned back when Zhi Yi and the others admitted they could not drive, and Monkey taught them before the group continued through icy roads.
• Bai Yaoyao comforted Tiger Cub in her space, introduced the cub to the Beasts, and appointed Doggie leader of the Beasts Legion.
• Near City L Base, Bai Yaoyao sensed a dense gathering of Zombies and teased Peiqi that she might have awakened a third special ability by jinxing their return.

She returned to the fight with everyone grouped around her, then criticized Zhi Yi and his fellow disciples for wasting movements and even bowing after kills.

• Bai Yaoyao and her team fought their way back toward each other as she grew angry that few people from City L Base were helping them.
• After noticing exhausted uniformed fighters and rested civilian ability users, Bai Yaoyao ordered Little Crook, Little Red, and the beasts to throw the idle ability users from the wall into the zombies.
• Bai Yaoyao sent Little Crook and Little Red into the base to round up more ability users, while Xiao Yufei resolved to grow stronger and regain his independence.
• Bai Yaoyao checked that her companions were holding up and ordered everyone to stay together as they advanced into the horde.

• Bai Yaoyao and Dark Night fought the zombies while Little Crook and Little Red threw hidden Ability Users into the battlefield and collected Crystal Cores.
• Zhi Rui was scratched by a zombie, and Xiaomi purified his small wound after Bai Yaoyao let the disciples fear the consequences of their carelessness.
• Bai Yaoyao rode Big Sea above the battlefield and saw that most perimeter zombies had withdrawn, leading her to suspect a Little Corpse King was present.

• Zhi Yi and his fellow disciples loudly reaffirmed their duty to uphold justice, earning the amused respect of the members of Dark Night.
• Bai Yaoyao returned to the base, arranged for the exhausted Ability Users to rest, and asked Zhi Yi’s group whether they wanted to leave for City D Base or stay with her; they chose to stay.

• City D Base Ability Users fought their way toward Dark Night, believing the team was surrounded and in need of rescue.
• Bai Yaoyao ordered Dark Night and the Beasts to save the struggling Ability Users, and they quickly overwhelmed the remaining zombies.
