Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Third tier | 13 | Lan Huaiyu considers her strong enough to handle level-four calamities without difficulty. |
| Approaching fourth tier | 20 | Says she is “almost” at fourth tier before staying behind to delay the Wind-Thunder Cantor. Fourth-tier attainment is not confirmed at this point. |
| Advanced Water Mirror skill demonstrated | 43 | Uses Flower in the Mirror, Moon on the Water against Wan Lan and Lou Guanshan. Wins the final battle even after Wan Lan breaks the technique. |
| Flood King’s Crown empowerment | 56 57 58 | Manifests an illusory robe and crown, greatly increasing her power against the Thin Mist Priest. The borrowed power ruptures cells in her arm. |
| Fourth tier confirmed | 69 | Wan Lan acknowledges her advancement. Mu Bingge intercepts the fleeing Feng Jianyu through a Water Mirror. |
| Inheritance of [Abyssal Erosion] sealed | 90 91 | The Crown shatters as [Abyssal Erosion] transfers her core power into Mu Bingge. Social Security Bureau teachers seal the power to stop her body’s collapse; Little Whale describes her as a Blessed One without a Calamity Lord. |
| Soul Creation mastered | 109 110 | Creates a whip through Soul Creation and shatters an illusion of her childhood encounter with the Flood King and [Abyssal Erosion], despite being unable to access her ordinary powers. |
| Combat parity with sixth-tier teachers | 199 | While still below her later fifth-order breakthrough, challenges Viksu Academy’s fourth-tier, fifth-order, and sixth-tier teachers, exchanging blows evenly with sixth-tier experts. |
| Fifth Order | 242 243 | Breaks through after killing remnants of [Abyssal Erosion] that deliberately offer themselves to her. Each death loosens her seal and releases more inherited power. |
| Sixth tier | 374 | States that her ordinary tier is sixth tier and estimates that going all out can bring her to the peak combat strength of a Level Nine Calamity. |
| Partial integration of [Time]’s power | 440 | Reports that some of [Time]’s power has merged with her body. The associated Music Box has become powerless. |
| Breakthrough during the push toward eighth tier | 453 | Is the first to finish absorbing an immense concentration of energy described as driving the group toward eighth tier; her aura surges and then stabilizes. |
| Further absorption of [Abyssal Erosion] | 479 | Draws [Abyssal Erosion]’s power into herself while Ye Buyu restores Water Mirror Star’s consciousness, helping separate the power from the consciousnesses forming a new being. |
| Initial comprehension of time | 561 562 | A gaseous planetary consciousness helps her recognize a hidden temporal power. She retrieves its core under a Contract and remains to absorb energy and practice. |
| Future Preemption and Time Stop formalized | 607 | Names her two developed temporal abilities. Time Stop remains limited in area and duration; independently interfering with the past or creating time loops remains beyond her control. |
| Victory over an ordinary Level Twelve Calamity | 610 | Defeats her arena opponent without much difficulty by using Time Stop. This is a combat feat rather than a stated personal tier. |
| Combat against two Level Thirteen Calamities | 617 618 | Wears down two opponents, borrows power from her future self, and lands devastating sword strikes while their movements are slowed. Escapes their self-detonation injured and receives Ye Buyu’s healing. |
| More efficient Future Preemption | 645 | The power required for the skill decreases as the team grows stronger. Without using her full strength, she enables Lou Guanshan to briefly wield power beyond the Ninth Rank. |
| Expanded temporal applications | 684 685 687 691 709 | Accelerates time in Fate’s sandbox-like world, briefly slows Fate’s attack through Time Stop, contributes Time Origin Power against Fate’s divided selves, and restrains [Eternal Life] with Time Chain. |
| Temporal perception after three epochs | 748 | While recovering as a consciousness in a Hidden Dimension, creates a scouting droplet and reads Calamity Castle’s time traces to determine that the team has slept for three epochs. |
Background / History
Mu Bingge belongs to the family that owns Tidewater Workshop, a widely known business that processes calamity remnants and materials. It operates branches throughout Great Xia and jointly establishes trading and collection hubs with Great Xia. Her father formerly ran the business; her eldest uncle now runs it. Mu Bingge returns home to help with its affairs 46.
Before meeting Ye Buyu, she had already become a recognized prodigy and received special admission to Four Symbols Academy. Ye Buyu knew her from a short video showing her defeating a calamity that threatened a neighborhood 5 6.
Her father brought back the Flood King’s Crown, establishing Tidewater Workshop’s formidable reputation, but died prematurely from the erosion he suffered in that battle. When Mu Bingge was ten, her mother overruled the family’s objections and had the Crown fused into her body. The procedure caused extreme pain, and Mu Bingge fled. The family, occupied by the Flood King’s retaliation after her father’s death, did not immediately discover her disappearance 58.
As a child, she was taken into the Borderlands and brought before the Flood King. [Abyssal Erosion] took an interest in her, ordered that she be given the Crown and returned to the Present World, and left a mark on her soul. The encounter burdened Mu Bingge with the warning that she would bring endless calamities to those around her. After returning, she confessed what had happened to the Social Security Bureau; someone there encouraged her that hard work might change her fate 60 90 109 110.
This history helps explain her initial reluctance to form close partnerships. She later tells Mu Yang that she approached Ye Buyu because she believed she could handle whatever trouble might arise, not because she valued Ye Buyu’s healing ability. The Corrosion Swamp incident renews her fear that her own connections have endangered her roommate 60.
Appearance
Mu Bingge has an elegant, beautiful appearance and an icy bearing, likened to an ice lotus carved from ancient ice 6 7.
- Hair: Ink-black, worn in a ponytail 6.
- Eyes: Pale, glasslike blue, also described as aqua-blue 6 7.
- Voice: Clear and cool 6.
- Usual expression: Calm and distant; her eyes initially seem to reflect no one 7.
- Crown-empowered appearance: An exquisite crown hovers above her head, accompanied by an illusory aqua-blue robe with mysterious patterns, flowing water, and mirror fragments reflecting living beings 56.
- Inherited-power mark: Bears a seal between her brows after the Social Security Bureau contains [Abyssal Erosion]’s power. It lights up when she releases that power 91 170 479.
- Formal clothing: Later wears a fitted white shirt, indigo-blue vest and jacket, carefully chosen accessories, crisp trousers, and white gloves, giving her the appearance of an aristocrat from the ice and snow 254.
- Later empowered appearance: Wears blue-and-white robes that stir like an unfurled river while her forehead mark glows and vast waves answer her call 479.
Personality
Mu Bingge is reserved and economical with words. She is uncomfortable with sudden physical closeness, stiffening when Ye Buyu hugs her leg, and finds Lou Guanshan’s exuberant behavior difficult to handle. Her restraint does not prevent warmth: she apologizes after mishandling Ye Buyu during their first outing and later smiles gently when explaining why she wants to remain her teammate 7 8 33 34.
She is publicly known for her strong sense of responsibility. During the assessment crisis, she stays behind against a much stronger enemy to give the other examinees time to escape. She also prepares escape routes without announcing them, prompting Wan Lan to remark that she always makes preparations silently 15 20 22.
Her confidence coexists with a demanding view of her own performance. She willingly challenges Wan Lan and Lou Guanshan together, but after the Wind-Thunder Cantor incident, she concludes that she has not trained enough. When she suspects Ye Buyu has concealed the means of killing Yan You, she chooses to respect her roommate’s secrets rather than press her 27 30 43.
Her apparent detachment conceals a deep fear of harming those close to her. When [Abyssal Erosion]’s inheritance threatens to destroy her identity, she asks the teachers to kill her rather than allow a Calamity to invade the Present World wearing her face. She openly admits that she likes her teammates and regrets the possibility of being unable to continue with them 90.
Mu Bingge strongly rejects the idea that an imposed origin determines her allegiance. She insists that she alone decides where she goes, refuses the role of “King of All Waters,” and remains committed to protecting the Present World. By her Soul Creation trial, she can confront the memory of her childhood ordeal without being overwhelmed by it 83 109 243.
As an instructor, she leads by example rather than coercion. She takes on students’ training weights, explains strength control in detail, and continues her own demanding practice while teaching others. Although she says she will not force unwilling students to learn, her perseverance inspires an academy-wide training movement. Morkov describes her temperament as silent as wind and snow and tough as steel 199.
Her teammates bring out a more expressive and playful side. News that the others are safe visibly lifts her mood, and she later joins in teasing Su Wuwei. With Ye Buyu, she can smile, joke, and devise an indirect challenge to Fate’s authority by empowering the people Fate dismisses 243 141 684.
Abilities & Skills
Water Mirror
Mu Bingge’s ability combines water manipulation with mirror-based defense, movement, and attacks 7 22 35 43.
- Restraint: Forms streams of water into chains to bind the Headless Corpse 7.
- Protection: Gathers surrounding moisture into a barrier that safely lowers Ye Buyu to the ground 7.
- Weapon enhancement: Envelops her whip in Water Mirror power, producing blades along its attacks 35.
- Movement: Steps against a gale on water mirrors and uses prepared mirrors to escape with Lou Guanshan and Wan Lan 20 22.
- Area attacks: Creates a shimmering curtain of water that engulfs dozens of calamities 37.
- Limit: Her Water Mirror defense gradually dissolves under the Wind-Thunder Cantor’s lightning, forcing her to abandon it and relocate 26.
- Interception: Places a mirror ahead of a fleeing opponent and steps through it to block their escape 69.
- Large-scale concealment: Unfolds a kaleidoscope of mirrors across an arena, surrounding sixth-tier He Chuan with indistinguishable images of herself 266.
- Fine control: Compresses a single water droplet into a high-pressure cutting attack capable of slicing calamities apart 282.
- Tactical disruption: Shatters mirrors so their fragments sever the invisible threads of Ye Buyu’s area ability 268.
- Material transport: Sends bubbles carrying materials toward Ye Buyu, continually paying her ability’s costs while attacking and benefiting from its healing 268.
- Large-scale blockade: Maintains a blockade against a behemoth in a Star Domain, though sustaining a barrier of that size consumes considerable power 543.
- Utility: Creates an ordinary large mirror to show Fate her changed appearance 688.
Mirror Blade
A penetrating attack that destroys a target from within 36.
- Forms a watery blade and drives it into a giant calamity’s eye 36.
- Mirror fragments multiply, travel through the target with its blood, and expand into blades throughout its body 36.
- Uses her whip to pull herself close enough to deliver the initial strike 36.
Flower in the Mirror, Moon on the Water
An advanced Water Mirror skill used in the Points Competition’s final battle 43.
- Lets her vanish into mirror shards and reappear to counterattack, including striking Lou Guanshan at close range 43.
- Functions as an illusion technique with a core shard that can be destroyed; Wan Lan identifies and breaks that shard 43.
- Cannot be maintained for long at Mu Bingge’s tier during the Points Competition 43.
- Later combines the technique with calamity power while attacking Lei Yue, moving through shattered mirrors and striking from angles outside his field of vision 147.
Cut Clouds and Sever Water
A sword technique demonstrated during her internal match against Ye Buyu 268 269.
- Transforms her whip into a longsword while raising a transparent water shield 268.
- Overlaps successive sword lights into a cross-shaped beam 269.
- When Ye Buyu absorbs and reflects the attack, Mu Bingge tears the returning strike apart with her whip 269.
Vortex Ring
A large-scale water technique used to restrain escaping Lords 298.
- Turns water around her fingertips into a descending waterfall 298.
- Converges the waterfall into a vortex containing visible, interlocking rings that batter and imprison the enemies inside 298.
Flood King’s Crown and [Abyssal Erosion]
The Flood King’s Crown initially serves as a source of power beyond what Mu Bingge’s body can safely withstand. Its deeper function is connected to the mark and core power [Abyssal Erosion] placed within her 56 58 90.
- Crown empowerment: Dramatically raises her aura and enables her to overpower the Thin Mist Priest whose Mental Control authority has been disrupted by Ye Buyu 56 57.
- Physical cost: Excessive power ruptures her cells. Later releases of the inherited power can tear her muscles as she continues fighting 58 170.
- Core inheritance: As [Abyssal Erosion] faces death, the Crown shatters and the Calamity’s core power transfers into Mu Bingge, threatening to destroy both her body and soul and produce a new individual 90.
- Sealed reservoir: Social Security Bureau teachers stop the transformation by sealing the power into a mark that settles between her brows 91.
- Soul connection: Little Whale explains that Mu Bingge remains linked to [Abyssal Erosion]’s soul fragments. Gradual mastery and remaining true to herself are necessary to avoid being affected by them 91.
- Calamity power release: Produces vast quantities of heavy water, sufficient to break [Earthshaker]’s rock restraints and temporarily obstruct its advance 170.
- Remnant absorption: Killing remnants of [Abyssal Erosion] loosens her seal and increases the power flowing into her. Taking in too much at once risks a loss of control 242.
- Inherited memories: Gains fragments showing Sintar’s destruction and the previous [Abyssal Erosion]’s original desire to protect its survivors 243 244.
- Temporal connection: Describes a thread left by [Abyssal Erosion] through which she can follow the long river recorded by flowing water upstream and obtain a thread of an epoch 374.
- Separation from consciousness: Absorbs [Abyssal Erosion]’s power while Ye Buyu restores Water Mirror Star, helping free the consciousnesses that converge into a new being 479.
The [Stillwater King] interprets her inheritance as making her the new [Abyssal Erosion], regardless of the name she chooses. Mu Bingge rejects the destructive destiny attached to that interpretation rather than accepting allegiance to the Calamities 242 243.
Soul Power and Soul Creation
Mu Bingge masters Soul Creation during a trial that suppresses access to Water Mirror and [Abyssal Erosion]’s power. She forms a whip and destroys the illusion reproducing her childhood encounter with the Flood King. Her assisting wandering soul considers the ease of her achievement exceptional even among geniuses 109 110.
- Soul weapon creation: Creates a whip directly through Soul Creation 109.
- Instruction: Teaches Soul Power and the principles of controlling it at Viksu Academy, then becomes a special instructor to the Steel Corps 199.
- Strength-control training: Uses special weights to develop precise control over the fine strands of power within the body, explaining that Soul Power training follows the same principle 199.
Time Manipulation
Some of [Time]’s power merges with Mu Bingge’s body before she develops a conscious understanding of it. Her later encounter with a planetary consciousness provides the first clear step toward comprehending and mastering time 440 561 562.
- Future Preemption: Accelerates time and borrows power from a future moment. Can be applied to teammates; it enables Wan Lan to draw on her future strength to activate the Thousand-Wind Ancient Road 607.
- Self-empowerment: Borrows power from her own future self during combat against two Level Thirteen Calamities 617 618.
- Improved efficiency: As the team’s strength increases, Future Preemption requires less power. She later helps Lou Guanshan briefly exceed the Ninth Rank without using her full strength 645.
- Time Stop: Stops time within a limited area for a limited duration. It enables her to defeat an ordinary Level Twelve Calamity with little difficulty 607 610.
- Resistance by stronger beings: Against Fate, her room-encompassing Time Stop freezes dust, water droplets, and falling glass, but Fate’s attacking hand continues advancing slowly rather than stopping completely 687.
- Time acceleration: Accelerates time around herself and Ye Buyu in Fate’s sandbox-like world, causing plants to grow and wither and crowds to blur around them 684 685.
- Time Chain: Forms blue chains capable of stopping a captive’s time or, failing that, restricting free movement. Uses them to bind [Eternal Life] 709.
- Time Origin Power: Combines her power with Ye Buyu’s Cause and Effect Origin Power to tip the balance between Fate’s equally matched divided selves 691.
- Temporal swordsmanship: Channels the phantom of a river of time along her longsword when attacking [Colonialism]’s enclosing chains 737.
- Temporal perception: Reads time traces at Calamity Castle through a water droplet and determines that three epochs have elapsed 748.
Ye Buyu attributes the team’s collective return to the past to the interaction of Mu Bingge’s insight into time, her own causality power, and their teammates’ unusual abilities. Mu Bingge nevertheless states that independently interfering with the past or trapping targets in time loops remains beyond her control when she names her temporal skills 596 607.
Physical Combat and Assessment
- Speed and strength: Runs at approximately thirty meters per second while pulling Ye Buyu and casually throws her out of a corridor before cushioning her landing 7.
- Close combat: Kicks a falling calamity to pieces and uses punches alongside her mirror techniques 35 43.
- Whip control: Cracks her whip fast enough to break the sound barrier and cleave through a gale 21.
- Tier recognition: Recognizes at a glance that Ye Buyu has reached first tier and is nearing second tier 12.
- Awakening instruction: Teaches Ye Buyu to concentrate and sense the energy flowing within her body 8.
- Precision strength: Pierces steel with a finger while transmitting enough force beyond the small hole to collapse an artificial hill 199.
- Instructional breadth: Her knowledge of power control impresses Viksu Academy’s principal; her teammates later choose her to answer a castle guard’s questions because she has the broadest knowledge 199 411.
- Resistance to Pollution: Resists a Priest-class Calamity’s [Pollution] while confronting it about experiments that transformed humans into Calamities 284.
- Tactical planning: Selects a battlefield near the Land of Life Divine Miracle for the planned confrontation with [Sinful Karma] 652.
Performance Party Identity
During the Ancient Castle’s Performance Party, Mu Bingge receives the Golden Identity Card role of divine maiden 414.
- Must be protected by the guardian faction 414.
- Can purify members of the evil faction, converting them to the neutral or guardian faction 414.
- Like the other original Golden Identity Card holders, cannot forfeit by exchanging or losing her card because it remains bound to its original host 414.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Long whip — Her principal weapon, used to restrain targets, close distances, cut through wind, and channel Water Mirror attacks. Can transform into a longsword 20 21 35 36 268.
- Bracelet — Flashes before releasing her whip into her hand; its other functions are not described 35.
- Recovery potions — Carries several and shares them with Lou Guanshan and Wan Lan after their escape from the forest battle 22.
- Flood King’s Crown — Brought back by her father and fused into her body at age ten. Grants powerful but physically damaging empowerment; later shatters during [Abyssal Erosion]’s transfer of core power 56 58 90.
- Forehead seal — Created by the Social Security Bureau teachers to contain the inherited power and halt her collapse; releases of that power are associated with the mark lighting up 91 170.
- Special training weights — Uses them to improve strength control while teaching Viksu Academy’s students 199.
- Golden Identity Card: divine maiden — Assigns her faction-related powers and obligations in the Ancient Castle’s Performance Party 414.
- Music Box — Becomes powerless after some of [Time]’s power merges with her. She entrusts it to Qi Qingyu for safekeeping alongside other remnants of civilizations 440.
- Planetary core — A smooth, lustrous crystal containing the gaseous planetary consciousness with which she forms a Contract. She retrieves it, stores it securely, and promises to protect it 562.
Relationships
- Ye Buyu — Roommate and chosen teammate. Mu Bingge teaches her basic energy awareness and repeatedly protects her. Despite previously rejecting family-arranged teammates and declaring that she needed none, she voluntarily continues their partnership because she feels comfortable working with Ye Buyu 6 8 12 33 38. Ye Buyu reassures her after the Corrosion Swamp that she brings hope rather than calamity. Their trust develops into a partnership involving sparring, the rescue of Ye Buyu, joint use of time and causality, and confrontations with Fate and [Eternal Life] 58 268 269 326 329 596 681 705.
- Lan Huaiyu — Four Symbols Academy’s principal, who assigns her to show Ye Buyu around and take extra care of her. Lan later clarifies that their competition partnership was Mu Bingge’s own choice 6 38.
- Lou Guanshan — Longstanding rival and crisis ally. He saves her from a lightning strike during the assessment; they later clash over recruiting Ye Buyu and face each other in the competition final 21 37 43. Becomes her Hold Up the Heavens teammate and a recipient of Future Preemption, which helps him briefly exceed the Ninth Rank in battle 243 645.
- Wan Lan — Longstanding rival who also fights beside her against the Void Order. Wan Lan knows her habit of quietly preparing escape routes and breaks her illusion technique during their final match 21 22 37 43. Tries to reach her during the inherited-power crisis and rebukes her for deciding on death alone. Later borrows future power through Mu Bingge’s temporal ability 90 91 607.
- Su Wuwei — Fellow examinee who wants to challenge the top-ranked genius. During the evacuation, Mu Bingge entrusts Ye Buyu’s safety to him 15 20. Later teammate and combat partner during the investigation of a calamity gathering ground; Mu Bingge is shocked to learn that his alternate identity is the Sun. They subsequently appear together to retrieve a red-eyed child from Reincarnation’s spacecraft 282 284 316 773.
- Kou Ying — Hold Up the Heavens teammate. Takes responsibility for Ye Buyu’s safety while Mu Bingge and Lou Guanshan clear calamities during the Points Competition, and later expresses relief when Mu Bingge survives [Abyssal Erosion]’s attempted transformation 38 91 243.
- Father and eldest uncle — Former and current heads of Tidewater Workshop, respectively. Mu Bingge helps with the family business 46. Her father’s recovery of the Flood King’s Crown and death from erosion precede the ordeal that shapes her childhood 58.
- Mother — Strictly oversees her as a child and forces the Crown’s fusion into her body despite objections from others in the family 58.
- Mu Yang — Helps fight the Twin Priests and recounts the circumstances surrounding her father’s death and the Crown’s fusion. Mu Bingge later confides her doubts about teaming up with Ye Buyu to him, while withholding the full details of her past encounter 53 57 58 60.
- Social Security Bureau teachers — Know of her connection to [Abyssal Erosion] because she reported it herself. Their advance preparations save her when the Calamity attempts to transfer its core power into her 90 91.
- [Abyssal Erosion] — Marks her soul in childhood and prepares her as a backup vessel. The Calamity’s death leaves Mu Bingge with its core power and connected soul fragments, creating both an immense source of strength and a threat to her identity 90 91. Later inherited memories complicate her understanding of the previous [Abyssal Erosion], revealing a protector of Sintar’s survivors before its transformation into an invader 244.
- Flood King and [Tsunami Lord] — Figures associated with her childhood captivity and the title of “Princess.” The [Tsunami Lord] later tries to use her exposed connection to the Calamities to pressure her into leaving the Present World 83 109 110.
- [Stillwater King] — Leads remnants of [Abyssal Erosion] to offer themselves to Mu Bingge and regards her as the inheritor of their power. She initially keeps the King alive because absorbing that much power would overwhelm her, but later frees the imprisoned King and asks for help rescuing Ye Buyu 242 243 326 329.
- Morkov — North Russian commander who invites her to teach the Steel Corps. Respects her dedication, worries about the personal effects of her inherited memories, and recognizes how much her teammates matter to her 199 243.
- Gaseous planetary consciousness — Helps her comprehend time, forms a Contract with her for protection, and entrusts her with its core. She promises that it will remain safe as long as she lives 561 562.
- Water Mirror — A new being formed from Water Mirror Star, Heart Tide, and other consciousnesses. Mu Bingge helps bring about her formation by absorbing [Abyssal Erosion]’s power while Ye Buyu restores Water Mirror Star’s consciousness 479.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Ye Buyu’s Arrival
Mu Bingge becomes Ye Buyu’s guide and roommate. Their first tour exposes the difference between Ye Buyu’s harmless-looking perceptions and the calamities everyone else sees. Following Ye Buyu’s instructions, Mu Bingge helps make the Headless Corpse retreat—the first time she has driven away a calamity without fighting it 6 7 8.
After extracting Ye Buyu from the curious upperclassmen, she explains the academy’s research practices and teaches her how to begin understanding her awakened ability 8.
Gaokao Assessment Crisis
Mu Bingge registers herself and Ye Buyu as teammates before their randomized deployment. When the Wind-Thunder Cantor becomes a threat, she catches Ye Buyu before she hits the ground, then stays behind to delay the pursuit 12 18 20.
The Cantor and Yan You wound and overwhelm her until Lou Guanshan and Wan Lan arrive. Her prepared Water Mirrors enable all three to escape temporarily and rejoin the defenders at the abandoned warship 21 22 23.
She continues protecting the trapped examinees even after the evacuation system fails. Following Little Whale’s intervention through Ye Buyu’s body, Mu Bingge finds her roommate alive, carries her back to the others, and keeps her suspicions about Yan You’s death private 24 26 27.
Points Competition
Mu Bingge chooses to remain Ye Buyu’s teammate and protects her through the calamity waves. She pays a Wood Core for healing and discovers that Ye Buyu can restore energy and clear Calamity Aura far faster than expected 33 35 37.
She reaches the final three with Wan Lan and Lou Guanshan, invites both to attack her together, and defeats them to win the competition 43.
Tidewater Workshop and the Corrosion Swamp
After the Gaokao, family responsibilities prevent her from accompanying Ye Buyu on a Blue-Label Zone hunt. She explains her connection to Tidewater Workshop and recommends seeking Principal Lan’s help instead 46.
When Ye Buyu reports a huge psychic calamity in the Corrosion Swamp, Mu Bingge immediately orders her assistant to stop all operations and evacuate everyone inside. She then decides to go herself 49.
After joining the investigation, she ensures that Mu Yang listens to Ye Buyu’s information about the psychic calamity. She is subsequently caught in a Priest’s domain, where Ye Buyu’s usual attempt to wake her fails 53 55.
Mu Bingge manifests the Flood King’s Crown and breaks the Thin Mist Priest’s chains. With Ye Buyu disrupting its Mental Control authority, the crown-empowered Mu Bingge overwhelms that Priest while Mu Yang and the other fighters attack its counterpart, enabling their simultaneous defeat 56 57.
The power damages her arm, and the Priest’s dying words revive her fear of bringing disaster to others. Ye Buyu heals her and insists that her actions brought hope and saved lives. Mu Yang’s account reveals the childhood fusion of the Crown and the family tragedy behind it 58.
Afterward, an official places Mu Bingge’s file under close observation. On the journey home, she remembers the warning that she will bring calamities to those around her; at the Space Elevator, she questions whether she should have teamed up with Ye Buyu 60.
Hold Up the Heavens and the Inherited-Power Crisis
Mu Bingge joins the circle that becomes Hold Up the Heavens and acknowledges Ye Buyu’s leading contribution to defeating the Thin Mist Priest. Her fourth-tier advancement is confirmed when she intercepts Feng Jianyu before he can threaten civilians 65 69.
During a later confrontation, the [Tsunami Lord] publicly calls her “Princess” and tries to convince her that the Present World will reject her. Mu Bingge refuses to surrender her right to choose where she belongs 83.
When [Abyssal Erosion] nears death, the power planted inside Mu Bingge activates. The Crown shatters, her body begins collapsing, and she explains that the Calamity intends to create a new being through her. Rather than risk becoming an enemy of her home and teammates, she asks the teachers to kill her 90.
The Social Security Bureau teachers reveal that they prepared for this possibility after her childhood confession. Their formation seals the inherited power and halts her collapse. Little Whale explains that she must gradually master the power while preserving her identity, since her soul remains linked to the Calamity’s fragments 91.
Soul Creation Trial
Mu Bingge’s trial recreates her childhood audience before the Flood King, including [Abyssal Erosion]’s claim over her future. Although her usual powers are unavailable, she recognizes that the enemies who once terrified her have since been defeated 109.
She creates a whip through Soul Creation and shatters the illusion. Her assisting wandering soul marvels that she learned the skill so easily while confronting memories of such extreme isolation and helplessness 109 110.
North Russia and the Steel Corps
At Viksu Academy, Mu Bingge teaches Soul Power while maintaining demanding endurance and strength-control training. Her challenges to the academy’s teachers, including even exchanges with sixth-tier experts, encourage staff and students alike to train harder 199.
Her example wins over the academy, and after most participants master Soul Power, Morkov appoints her as a special instructor to the Steel Corps. She also helps bring about an agreement between Tidewater Workshop and the North Russian authorities 199 243.
Remnants of [Abyssal Erosion] later deliberately die in her attacks, loosening her seal and pushing her into the Fifth Order. She questions the imprisoned [Stillwater King], who argues that she has already become the inheritor of [Abyssal Erosion] regardless of her wishes. Mu Bingge refuses the title of King of All Waters and reaffirms that the Present World will not be destroyed 242 243.
The memories gained through this incident reveal that Sintar’s previous [Abyssal Erosion] once became a Calamity to preserve its survivors. The contrast between that person and the invader Mu Bingge knew leads her to question whether becoming a Calamity strips away an individual’s original will 244.
Competition, Sintar’s Warship, and Calamity Investigations
Mu Bingge continues competing after reuniting with her teammates. She defeats a lightning-wielding contestant, confronts sixth-tier He Chuan with an arena-wide mirror illusion, and later fights Ye Buyu directly in an internal match 262 266 268.
Their sparring demonstrates how intimately she understands Ye Buyu’s abilities. She cuts the area skill’s threads, pays its costs with materials, and combines water defenses with sword attacks, while Ye Buyu reveals new means of absorbing and reflecting attacks 268 269.
On a preserved warship, Mu Bingge senses a presence connected to Sintar’s previous chosen person of [Abyssal Erosion]. Her power activates the ship’s mechanisms, allowing the group to reach a recording by Xin Meng, who explains the archive’s historical importance and warns the next chosen one against opening the door to absolute darkness without the strength to face a Level Eleven Calamity alone 274.
While investigating a calamity gathering ground with Su Wuwei, Mu Bingge demonstrates high-pressure water cutting and confronts a Priest about experiments that used [Pollution] to turn humans into Calamities. The Priest mistakes her for a Calamity; she resists its Pollution and kills it with Water Mirror 282 284.
In a later team competition, she and Wan Lan eliminate the exhausted members of Wei Changming’s team after Ye Buyu’s exchange with Wen Ling creates the opening 306.
Rescuing Ye Buyu and Entering Calamity Castle
When Ye Buyu is frozen and endangered, Mu Bingge frees the [Stillwater King] from prison and asks for help. They join the rescue group facing [Eternal Frozen Silence], and Little Whale brings the frozen Ye Buyu to Mu Bingge before opening an escape route through the enemy’s domain 326 329.
By the group’s later travels, Mu Bingge identifies herself as sixth tier but estimates that her full combat strength can reach the peak of a Level Nine Calamity. She also explains her inherited connection to an epoch-spanning river recorded by flowing water 374.
At the Ancient Castle, the group selects her to answer the entrance guard’s questions about civilization and its future. She then receives the divine maiden role for the Performance Party and learns that the Golden Identity Cards prevent their original holders from forfeiting 411 414.
Afterward, she reports that some of [Time]’s power has merged with her body and leaves the powerless Music Box with Qi Qingyu. The team prepares to cooperate with the Primordial Beginning Tower over an area containing traces of [Life] 440.
Water Mirror Star and the Development of Time Power
Mu Bingge is the first to finish absorbing a powerful energy concentration during the group’s push toward eighth tier 453.
Later, she works with Ye Buyu to separate [Abyssal Erosion] from Water Mirror Star’s consciousness. As she absorbs the Calamity’s power, Water Mirror Star, Heart Tide, and countless other consciousnesses merge into a new being. After waking, the being receives Ye Buyu’s invitation to help save civilization 479.
During an infiltration of the Rift, Mu Bingge and Kou Ying sense danger in a black sacrificial lake. Invisible children attack the group and threaten to strip away their bodies; a mysterious presence ultimately restores the companions and confronts Ye Buyu 510.
While traveling through an unknown Star Domain, Mu Bingge meets a gaseous planetary consciousness whose unusual understanding of existence helps her begin comprehending time. The consciousness forms a Contract with her and entrusts her with its core. She remains behind to absorb its lingering energy and practice the power she has begun to recognize 561 562.
The team later collectively returns to the past, an event Ye Buyu attributes to the combination of Mu Bingge’s time power, her own causality, and their teammates’ capabilities. In subsequent training, Mu Bingge names Future Preemption and Time Stop and explains their current limitations 596 607.
Arena Battles and Preparations Against [Sinful Karma]
Mu Bingge tests Time Stop against an ordinary Level Twelve Calamity and wins without much difficulty. When the arena attempts to impose a choice Ye Buyu does not want, Mu Bingge draws her whip and refuses to let anyone force her teammate 610 613.
Against two Level Thirteen Calamities, she endures multiple wounds while wearing down their energy, then borrows power from her future self to strike. The enemies detonate their remaining power; she escapes the blast with her last strength and receives healing from Ye Buyu’s rain of bullets 617 618.
Her increasingly efficient Future Preemption later enables Lou Guanshan to briefly exceed the Ninth Rank and, with the team’s support, clash with the Fourteenth Tier [Madness] 645.
When the group prepares to confront [Sinful Karma], Mu Bingge chooses a location near the Land of Life Divine Miracle as their intended battlefield 652.
Fate and the World of Eternal Life
Mu Bingge reaches the Divine Temple before Ye Buyu as its other Divine Guest. Fate tells them that other beings have taken their teammates and declares that they are meant to help it create a new world 681.
Fate subjects them to other people’s lives. Mu Bingge experiences the resentment and downfall of a burly man who rejects his assigned role as an executioner, only to become a fugitive and die regretting his choice 682.
Rather than accept Fate’s conclusions, Mu Bingge proposes having the inhabitants challenge its authority themselves. She and Ye Buyu disguise their appearances and use accelerated time to develop their intervention in Fate’s sandbox-like city 684 685.
When Fate attacks, Mu Bingge’s Time Stop buys Ye Buyu an opening. After Fate divides against itself, the pair support its black-eyed side, using Cause and Effect and Time Origin Power to break the balance between its two selves 687 691.
In another world, Mu Bingge guides Ye Buyu through a society distorted by eternal life. They corner the deity [Eternal Life] and initially present themselves as Fate’s emissaries offering help, then uncover his intention to devour their companions and seize their abilities 705 706.
After reuniting with the others, Mu Bingge binds [Eternal Life] with Time Chain and offers to accelerate time while Kou Ying carries out the next stage of their plan 707 709.
War of the Gods and the Three-Epoch Sleep
During the war of the gods, Mu Bingge channels a phantom river of time along her sword and strikes at the enormous chains [Colonialism] uses to seal the surrounding space 737.
Later, the six teammates recover as consciousnesses in a Hidden Dimension, struggling to form their souls and communicate. Mu Bingge creates a water droplet, and Ye Buyu adds cause-and-effect power so it can scout beyond their hiding place 748.
When the droplet reaches Calamity Castle, Mu Bingge reads its time traces and discovers that they have slept for three epochs rather than the interval they expected 748.
She subsequently appears standing upon a tranquil sea as water extends like the veins of time. In her latest documented appearance, she and Su Wuwei arrive at Reincarnation’s spacecraft to retrieve a red-eyed child. Mu Bingge asks Yan Chu to return the child, but the child hides from them, leaving the crew reluctant to hand her over 772 773.
