Probably no one managed to sleep that night. The ground shook from time to time, tremendous crashes came from outside, and alarms kept blaring. Everyone was on edge.
All of 3A returned to Qin Luo's home.
They kept stockpiling food, pausing every so often to listen to the sounds outside as they worked.
"Meteorites showing up now feels really bad. If they keep falling this often, going out on missions will be dangerous. What the hell is going on?"
Chen Xiaofei dutifully wrapped buns, glancing out the window from time to time.
Occasionally, tiny fragments of rock struck the windows. They sounded like hail, only louder.
Bai Shu remained quite calm. "What doesn't happen in an apocalypse? What kind of apocalypse would it be without meteorites?"
Chen Xiaofei was stunned and stammered, "Old Wang, look at him! Even if meteorites are standard apocalypse stuff, s-s-surely we'd be better off without them?"
Bai Shu shrugged. "Can you change what's already happened? Like it or not, the meteorites are here."
For once, Chen Xiaofei looked dejected. "That's true. What are we supposed to do?"
"Nothing," Bai Shu said. "Just deal with it."
Chen Xiaofei rolled his eyes and scooted closer to Wang Weihu, knocking his head against his sturdy arm twice. "Bai Shu is so annoying. You're the nice one, Old Wang."
Wang Weihu said helplessly, "If you two were even half as mature in private as you are around outsiders, I'd be perfectly happy."
"Nope! Not happening!" Chen Xiaofei said.
Bai Shu shuddered and told Chen Xiaofei to stop acting cute. "Get a grip!"
Chen Xiaofei deftly placed the buns in the steamer and mouthed off, "I can't contwol mysewf!"

Wang Weihu sighed deeply and turned to look at the human and zombie steaming buns in the kitchen.
