Family and upbringing

Qin Xiaoyou is the biological daughter of the couple who adopted Qin Feng. She was born when he was five, and their parents treated both children equally. After their parents died in a car accident when Qin Feng was eighteen, he supported the household and cared for her alone 1.

She retained most of her parents’ inheritance and believed she could live comfortably without Qin Feng. Their relationship deteriorated over his restrictions on her nightlife, smoking, and devotion to celebrity Song Fei. Immediately before the Godforsaken Game arrived, she skipped an advanced calculus exam to attend Song Fei’s concert with Chu Yan despite Qin Feng’s objections 1 2.

Original timeline: protection and betrayal

During the nine years following the game’s arrival, Qin Feng protected Xiaoyou and handled her leveling, equipment, skills, lifespan, food, and shelter. She generally remained behind him, healing and applying buffs while he fought. His reluctance to expose her to danger also caused him to forgo exploration and other opportunities 1 34 50.

After Qin Feng obtained the Ancient God Eyeball, Song Fei approached Xiaoyou. Believing he wanted a relationship with her, she put Soul-Wandering Water into Qin Feng’s drink, immobilized him, and gouged out both his eyes to give the artifact to Song Fei. She accused her brother of denying her freedom and believed Song Fei’s promise to find him replacement eyes 1.

Xiaoyou did not know that Song Fei had added deadly toxins to the water. Qin Feng died shortly after she left, then awakened nine years earlier. He resolved to stop protecting her, sparing her for the sake of their deceased parents while targeting Song Fei for revenge 1.

Personality

Xiaoyou interprets Qin Feng’s care as control rather than protection. She refuses to apologize for skipping her exam, insists he should reconcile first, and repeatedly emphasizes that he is not her biological brother. Qin Feng recalls that she took his extensive support for granted and reacted angrily whenever he displeased her 2 10 19 29 50.

Her devotion to Song Fei overrides practical concerns: she considers attending his concert more important than an exam and later accepts a lower lifespan purchase rate to help him. In the original timeline, she mistakes his interest in Qin Feng’s artifact for romantic interest in her 1 19 43.

She is much more accommodating toward people she considers powerful. She politely approaches Wang Meng, praises Zhang Wei’s early progress, and eagerly seeks Dark Shadow’s favor while dismissing Qin Feng. After witnessing Song Fei’s death, she concludes that strength is paramount and focuses on getting close to Dark Shadow 19 29 33 46.

An ordinary hidden class with greater healing output than a standard Priest. Unlike Qin Feng’s unique hidden class, Life Priest can be obtained by other players 20.

• Healing: Restores teammates’ health and supports their survival; she performs this role in Moonlight Town and Wang Meng’s party 26 42.
• Buffs: Applies supportive effects, including while accompanying Qin Feng in the original timeline 34.
• Aiming limitation: Healing skills have no lock-on feature. She sometimes misses Wang Meng when he moves to dodge attacks, endangering the party 42.
• Combat limitations: Has little fighting proficiency. Against large-area boss attacks in the original timeline, she struggles to evade them herself and cannot reliably heal Qin Feng at the same time 34 48.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

• Sap skill book — Bronze Grade: An Assassin crowd-control skill book obtained from Zhang Wei. She offers it to Dark Shadow through Wang Meng, but the offer is refused 47 48 49.
• Tradable lifespan: Accumulates nearly 200 days while farming with Wang Meng’s party. She initially intends to sell it for cash, then chooses to offer it to Song Fei at 10,000 per day rather than the Qian Group’s 15,000 rate 43.

Pursuing Dark Shadow
