History
Civilization Cycles
Before its successful ascension, Blue Star repeatedly underwent civilization cycles associated with the Godforsaken Game. During his later Soul Grand Authority challenge, Qin Feng observed its first cycle: in the tenth year, the game and reality began merging completely, Demons flooded the planet, and Blue Star was destroyed. No player had reached the Land of Order during that cycle 2214.
Repeated cycles improved players’ ability to understand and adapt to the game. Qin Feng observed that changes to their Soul Nets reflected survival, combat, and adaptability, although this accumulated improvement had an upper limit. His own Soul Net improved by seven percent after Blue Star’s first observed cycle, more than anyone else’s 2214.
Across later cycles, some powerful players reached the Land of Order and remained there, while others returned to help resist the Demon tide. Qin Feng identified Tang Jun and Master Tuchal among those who stayed, and Stina Mosel and You Are Already Dead among those who returned. He also concluded that the Authority of Judgment had allowed him to retain his memories through a restart 404.
The Record-Breaking Cycle
Blue Star’s current development drew widespread attention after its first World Spine fell on day 75. Outsiders assumed a genius had led an elite team; the actual solo victory was even more extraordinary than they realized 570 572.
Uncertainty over that genius’s nationality initially discouraged factions from openly supporting all Blue Star players. Once Qin Feng’s Great Xia origins became known, the Illusory Dream Temple protected Great Xia’s predecessors and supplied equipment and Skill Books, prompting other temples to follow 647 735.
Meanwhile, Deep Blue Civilization’s rapid rise created the expectation of a future war between two competing geniuses. Both were actually Qin Feng, operating as Dark Shadow and Shadow 007. His later announcement that the two leaders were on good terms relieved their supporters and alarmed factions that had sought alliances against either civilization 890 1228.
Nine Luminaries and Ascension
Blue Star’s final pre-ascension crisis involved World Spine · Nine Luminaries. All players were returned to the real-world planet and required to steer it through space while nine golden suns charged Sunlight Impact. Either a direct hit or a collision with a sun would kill every Blue Star player 1425.
The encounter exposed internal divisions. Factions in several countries planned to steer the planet into a sun, exploiting the prohibition on Blue Star players attacking one another. Qin Feng responded by preparing to use his foreign-player identity, Shadow 007, and the Illusory Great Authority to identify the saboteurs 1425 1426.
After Qin Feng dispelled his illusion, the vast majority of players activated Orbital Starflare No. 17. Blue Star accelerated, eventually reaching eight thousand times the speed of sound during the encounter’s later phase 1428 1430.
Blue Star ultimately ascended beyond the ordinary Land of Order destination into Chaos Source · Spacetime Rift, earning the maximum ascension rating. Its successful ascension also ended its players’ normal return to the Land of Hope: that location no longer retained their soul information. Exiled former inhabitants still trapped as NPCs in other cycling civilizations remained an exception 1432 1741.
Expansion and Resistance
After ascension, Blue Star incorporated other Blueprint Worlds through conquest and submission. Glacier Civilization voluntarily surrendered its independent home-star status and became subordinate, bringing its own world and four previously captured worlds into Blue Star’s orbit 1480.
Not all inhabitants accepted Blue Star’s authority. Beastification Civilization players concealed an Old-Day Tier boss rather than report it, while the Maya Prophet and Dusk General later mobilized more than ten million Glacier humanoid apes toward Blue Star in a bid to kill Shadow and seize power 1481 1798.
Blue Star’s subsequent conquest of Sorrow World met resistance from the former Emperor of Sorrow’s ruling families. The campaign ended within two and a half hours, with those families surrendering or being destroyed and the world’s oppressed races and civilizations liberated 2139.
