Celebrity Career

Song Fei trained for two and a half years before achieving his celebrity success. He attracted a large female following, including Qin Xiaoyou, who had supported him since his trainee days 1 40 41.

After holding a concert in a neighboring city, he traveled to River-Sea City and spent the night with two women. His location when the Godforsaken Game arrived placed him in Firefly Town 33 35.

Previous Timeline

For nine years, Song Fei had no involvement with Qin Feng or Qin Xiaoyou. He approached Xiaoyou only after Qin Feng obtained the Ancient God Eyeball, leading Qin Feng to conclude that the artifact—not affection for his sister—was his real objective 1.

Song Fei supplied Xiaoyou with Soul-Wandering Water containing deadly toxins. Believing that giving him the Ancient God Eyeball would allow them to be together, she drugged Qin Feng and gouged out his eyes. Song Fei had also promised to find Qin Feng replacement eyes, but Qin Feng died from the poison after she left 1.

Following his rebirth, Qin Feng placed Song Fei on his kill list and identified him as the true culprit behind the previous-life murder 1 33.

Appearance

Personality

Song Fei was vain and highly confident in both his celebrity appeal and his chosen class. He considered an ordinary Mage superior to a hidden-class Assassin and initially attributed Dark Shadow’s solo Gold Tier boss kill to a possible exploit 35 37.

He treated his followers’ devotion as a resource. Their deaths while shielding him did not concern him, and he regarded the Eagle Eye user as a useful tool who surrendered all her earned tradable lifespan. Nevertheless, after her detection failed, he investigated the cause rather than immediately insulting or striking her 34 37.

His confidence collapsed when he learned that Dark Shadow’s stealth exceeded his party’s detection ability. Unable to understand why he was being targeted, he speculated that the Assassin was jealous of his popularity. Even after fleeing the confrontation, he could not accept the humiliation and planned to buy enough equipment to retaliate 37 40 41.

Mourning Valley Defeat

Song Fei attempted to secure the Silver Grade Two-Headed Flame Burner while his followers fought off competing players. He hoped to reach level 7 and eventually overtake Dark Shadow, but Qin Feng ambushed him, killed his entourage, and claimed the boss 34 35 36.

• His first death cost 1,106 days of tradable lifespan and 18 years, 113 days of non-tradable lifespan 35.
• He assembled a revenge party with stealth detection and crowd control, only to be killed again after Qin Feng tapped his shoulder and announced his impending death 36 37.
• Discovering Eagle Eye’s detection limit convinced him that he could not fight Dark Shadow directly 37.

Riverbank Pursuit

Song Fei moved his followers to another hunting area, believing that Dark Shadow had no reason to keep pursuing him. Gu Yixue located the group, allowing Qin Feng to catch him while he fought the Bronze Grade Corrosive Demon Claw 38 39 40.

• Qin Feng killed him with Deadly Poison Dart and applied Blooming Curse to his corpse 40.
• Song Fei’s 860 days of tradable lifespan were halved by death; the resulting Death Flower drained the remainder within approximately one minute 40.
• With his non-tradable lifespan also nearly exhausted, he logged out rather than risk further killings 40.

Lifespan Purchases and Assassination

Song Fei planned to convert his remaining assets—slightly over one hundred million—into lifespan, equipment, and skill books. He arranged public, face-to-face purchases at Great River Plaza, inadvertently exposing his real-world location 41 44 45.

By the time Qin Feng arrived, Song Fei had purchased over two thousand days of lifespan and spent twenty million, alongside free donations from fans. While Jiang Li discussed luring Dark Shadow into captivity, an invisible Qin Feng struck Song Fei in the forehead with Deadly Poison Dart and collected 1,046 days of dropped tradable lifespan 45.

Aftermath

Song Fei’s death led police and authorities worldwide to suspect that Godforsaken Game abilities could be used in reality. Qin Feng later admitted responsibility to Wang Meng; An Yu stated that the authorities had reviewed evidence of Song Fei and Jiang Li plotting against him 46 50.
