Chapter Summaries

Su Ming and Bobo investigated Glark’s murder and suspected a disguised killer with ties to Darkseid’s methods. On Earth-0, Batwoman found Little Jim’s body in Joker’s gift box and secretly began investigating Selina after spotting a lipstick shade she had given her.

• Su Ming suggested someone had killed Glark, impersonated him, and delivered the goods to the Hall of Justice, while Bobo wondered if the incident was part of Darkseid’s plan.
• Su Ming decided that the killer was their real target and left the cave with Bobo and the others, asking Black Alice to teleport them to the Justice League Dark headquarters on Earth-12.
• Batwoman followed Joker’s riddle to Wayne Tower and found Little Jim’s tortured body inside the gift box.
• Batwoman concealed the discovery and asked Alfred to locate Selina and check her recent communications because she recognized her lipstick shade on Little Jim.

Su Ming and the others questioned Man-Bat at Justice League Dark headquarters about Earth-12’s Golden Eagle and his Nth Metal. Man-Bat revealed that Golden Eagle had gone to Gotham to work as a mercenary and warned that Charlie carried a darkness greater than Batman’s.

Su Ming and his group reached the Hall of Justice, rescued Wonder Woman from a zombie horde, and learned that the survivors were scattered and vulnerable. He offered to help fight the outbreak in exchange for items sealed in the Fortress of Solitude.

• Strangle crushed the zombies inside the Hall of Justice while Laurie sealed the elevator shaft with Heat Vision.
• Su Ming's group found Wonder Woman surrounded by zombies, and Strangle cleared them as Little Dai rushed to join her sister.

Su Ming and his companions searched Gotham for Golden Eagle while discussing why he wanted Brother Eye’s old mainframe. Unable to locate Golden Eagle amid the city’s laughing zombies, Su Ming set up a televised wedding as bait and assigned the team their roles in the ambush.

• Su Ming explained that he wanted Brother Eye’s mainframe for the Adjutant to study and for its OMAC technology and research database.
• The group saw Joker’s laughing gas had driven Gotham’s zombies to wander and laugh, and Su Ming decided they did not need to destroy the city.
• Su Ming proposed staging a live wedding to draw out Golden Eagle, using Bobo as the groom because Golden Eagle was obsessed with Hawkgirl.
• Su Ming and the others fought their way into Gotham Television Station, where he summoned a Synthezoid and assigned Bobo, Laurie, Harley, and Diana their roles.

Golden Eagle confessed to killing Glark and said he spent the money on wedding rings, leaving the group convinced that someone else had used him.

• Golden Eagle seized Kendra at the wedding, but Diana emerged from beneath the cake table and cut off one of his Nth Metal wings with Vulcan's Sword.
• Golden Eagle rolled away with the Synthezoid while Deathstroke revealed his armor, and Diana bound Charlie with the Lasso of Truth.
• Su Ming identified Golden Eagle by the fallen wing and gunshot residue, and Golden Eagle admitted that he had killed Glark for refusing to help him.
• Golden Eagle confessed that he impersonated Glark and remotely released powdered Zombie Virus into the Hall of Justice.
• Golden Eagle said he had spent the payment on wedding rings because he believed his mother would return, and the group recognized that someone had manipulated him.

Deathstroke questioned Golden Eagle about his role in bringing the Zombie Virus into the Hall of Justice and learned that Hawk had coordinated the attack. After staging a wedding to keep Charlie cooperative, Deathstroke killed him and destroyed the Synthezoid used in the ceremony.

• Su Ming questioned Golden Eagle under the Lasso of Truth, and Charlie admitted he had carried the Zombie Virus into the Hall of Justice but had not spread it elsewhere.

• The Essence Society discussed using Diana to bind Deathstroke to their Chariot, but Ganthet argued that they needed Deathstroke to guide them.

A mysterious Giant annihilated the Essence Society and declared himself the end of all stories. Meanwhile, Deathstroke recruited Barry of Earth-12 to search the Speed Force Plane for Hawk, and Barry offered to take the group with him.

• A tall figure attacked the Essence Society with void matter, drained its members, crushed The Spectre, and revealed himself as the Giant, claiming his power surpassed what it had been during the first Crisis.

Barry warned that Mocun was more dangerous than Vandal Savage, and Su Ming confirmed he meant the Mocun who had joined forces with Hal Parallax.

• Big Flash moved a zombie outside Central City and explained how the group could travel through the Speed Force Plane.

• Barry connected the Speed Force Plane to the Main Dimension by creating a time wormhole with the Still Force.
• Su Ming led the group into the passage, and Barry pulled them across the Speed Force Plane while warning that Black Racer hunted speedsters who stopped moving.
• Su Ming said he knew more about the Hall of Everything than Jason had told the Justice League, then explained why Jason and Joker’s Daughter were drawn to Batwoman and Joker.

• Fijitne searched for Wally but withdrew when he saw Wally was still suffering from the Mobius Chair’s effects.
• Fijitne searched for Barry and found him with Deathstroke and his group.
• Luthor met J'onn at the Hall of Justice and identified the distant red flash as the Omega Effect.
• Luthor called the flash a threat like the Kryptonians and demanded that J'onn tell him what Deathstroke had said.

On Earth-12, Lobo protected Dawn from the Black Lantern Zombies in Titans Tower while she searched for her boyfriend, Hank. They fought off several former Titans, but a Black Lantern Ring arrived and began addressing Lobo.

• Lobo stomped Nightwing's head flat while Dawn dodged the Black Lantern Zombies in Titans Tower.
• Dawn promised Lobo more payment if he helped her find Hank and kept her from being bitten.
• Black Lantern Cyborg pursued Dawn and tried to persuade her to join the Black Lanterns, but Lobo dragged him down and tore him apart.
• Starfire attacked Lobo from behind and bit his neck, but he ripped her head and spine out and used them to knock away Beast Boy.
• A Black Lantern Ring flew to Lobo and began saying, "Lobo of Tamaran, your death..."

Lobo resisted the Black Lantern infection and fought the Titans until Black Lantern Superman attacked Dawn. Wonder Woman and Deathstroke’s group rescued her with a White Lantern Ring, and the chapter ended as Deathstroke prepared a counterattack against Superman.

• Lobo rejected the Black Lantern Ring, regenerated from the infection, and defeated several Black Lantern Titans while searching for Dove’s boyfriend.
• Black Lantern Superman burst through Titans Tower, injured Lobo, and pursued Dawn, who refused to join the Black Lantern Corps.
• A beam of white light struck Superman and drove him away, while Diana arrived to protect Dawn.
• Diana, Harley, Laurie, and the talking monkey discussed rescuing Dawn and finding Hank, while Deathstroke fought Superman with the White Lantern Ring.

• The Flash opened Luthor’s Red Sun Generator while Laurie's magic and Deathstroke’s rings restrained Superman, weakening him enough for Deathstroke to shatter his Black Lantern Ring.
• Superman regained his rationality in the restraint chair, expressed regret to Deathstroke, and died as the Red Sun rapidly shriveled his body.
• Deathstroke began mincing Superman’s corpse so he could purify it with the White Lantern Ring and have Strangle consume it before another Black Lantern Ring could revive him.
• The Flash mourned Superman, and Deathstroke explained that Superman’s family had likely been infected before him.
• Deathstroke sent The Flash to help Dove find Hawk and approached Lobo while Diana continued fighting Cassie and Donna’s Black Lantern Zombies.

Su Ming hired Lobo to help protect Dove while the group searched for Hawk, who was missing from Titans Tower. After returning to the others, Su Ming asked Dove about places Hawk might go and whether anyone had seen Raven among the Black Lantern Zombies.

• Su Ming crushed Lobo's hand, offered him dolphin magazines, and hired him to guard Dove alongside the group.
• Lobo accepted the job and went to hide near the entrance of Titans Tower.
• Strangle disposed of the corpses while Deathstroke returned to the group after Barry had searched the tower with Dove and found no sign of Hawk.
• Harley teased Dove with a joke, and Su Ming explained its punchline before asking Dove where Hawk might have gone.
• Su Ming asked whether anyone had noticed Raven among the Black Lantern Zombies.
