Arc 35The Gate of the Other Shore
Voldemort’s attack on Hogwarts and the Ministry led Dumbledore and an international coalition to assault the Lestrange graveyard, where they nearly defeated Voldemort before the Dark Council rescued him. The Council revealed its plan to use Voldemort’s body and the Gate of the Other Shore, while Wormtail uncovered a mysterious figure on Thasos Island.
- Harry and the defenders fought off Death Eaters who attacked Hogwarts while Voldemort’s forces raided the Ministry and stole the Gate of the Other Shore.
- Harry and the others learned that Voldemort’s followers had been searching for Ravenclaw’s Diadem and the Sword of Gryffindor, then Jacob Corvinus revealed that he had tracked them to the Lestrange family graveyard in France.
- Dumbledore assembled an international coalition, and Harry joined the assault on the graveyard despite Sirius’s objections.
- The coalition overwhelmed most of Voldemort’s forces, but Voldemort invoked Alvasar’s power before Dumbledore severed his connection to the Evil God.
- Harry and Dumbledore wounded Voldemort, but the Dark Council’s Red King Toreador and Club King Dismask broke the graveyard barrier and escaped with Voldemort and Bellatrix.
- At the Dark Council’s gathering, Dismask immobilized Voldemort, and Red Joker revealed that the Council intended to obtain his forbidden body.
- Red Joker reshaped Voldemort’s body as the Gate of the Other Shore stirred, but Voldemort’s face escaped into the floor and Vivian said they needed seven more wizards to replace the missing soul power.
- Wormtail opened a blood-smeared coffin on Thasos Island and found a hairless, noseless figure with faint scales on its skin.
