The busy "Fool"
An invisible wind appeared within the Wall of Spirituality, and the candle representing the God Burning fiercely, expanding into a phantom gate covered with strange symbols.
A thought struck Lorry: they were very similar to the symbols on the surface of the "Book of Dimensions".
However, he had no time to study these symbols now; he focused on sensing the subtle connections that had been established in the darkness, gradually grasping that illusory door.
A few seconds later, the illusory gate opened silently.
Behind the door was pitch black and silent, a deathly place as if no one existed.
"Call!"
Under Lorry's control, the illusory gate unleashed an indescribable suction force, instantly drawing the unused Spirituality materials from the altar into the gate.
Once all the materials had entered the illusory gate, he had another thought.
The door closed silently.
"Success!" Lorry muttered to himself with a hint of excitement, clearing away the clutter from the ritual and reopening the "Book of Dimensions" to peruse it.
He saw two passages of text rapidly turning from dark to bright red:
"..."
"Perhaps the rebel leaders were wary of this Crazy Adventurer who had successfully hunted 'Steel,' or perhaps the ' Holy Sword's' reaction fell far short of the oracle's requirements; in any case, for some reason even the writer himself was unaware of, they did not take action against Klein and Danitz."
Klein suspected something and planned to report "Sea God" Kalvetua.
"..."
It seems I don't need to personally go to the Waves Cathedral to post "small advertisements"... Lorry chuckled softly and picked up another simply bound book.
It was covered with lines of scribbles that looked like wriggling tadpoles.
This is the language of the Elf.
Saturday was drawing to a close.
In the dead of night, Lorry, who had been fast asleep, suddenly opened his eyes and sensed that parts of the "Book of Dimensions" were becoming reality.
A slight smile played on his lips as he drifted off to sleep once more.
Sunday morning.
Lorry woke up from his sleep and the first thing he saw was a gloomy sky.
Dark, heavy clouds rolled forward, like a giant beast that would swallow the light and approach step by step, making the sky, which had only been bright for a short time, grow even darker.
Boom!
As thunder roared, a torrential downpour began throughout the "City of Generosity."
He quickly walked to the window and looked down, seeing that the already low-lying Harbor Borough was already flooded in many places.
As the pointer ticked away, they rose rapidly, quickly engulfing a step they had once passed, and continued to spread upwards.
"Kalvetua is on the verge of madness," Lorry said softly.
His tone was flat, as if he were making a comment.
Snap!
He closed the window, returned to the bedside and sat down, hearing hurried and chaotic footsteps coming from the hallway outside, as well as the sounds of Attendant trying to Soothing their guests.
Time flew by in the quiet wait.
A muffled clap of thunder suddenly boomed, echoing throughout every corner of the "City of Generosity".
A strong wind swept through, the thick, leaden clouds were blown away, and the torrential rain visibly decreased, disappearing completely in less than a minute.
The weather quickly cleared up, and bright sunshine shone on the earth once again.
Beneath the magnificent rainbow, the entire Bayam was bathed in a sea of golden light, a stark contrast to the Apocalypse scene just moments before.
"Kottman, the 'Sea King '." Lorry smiled slightly, sat up in bed, and instructed the Attendant outside to bring him Breakfast as soon as possible.
He finished Breakfast and left... The big search is about to begin, and I have a hefty Bounty on my head... He thought slowly as he chewed his food.
Meanwhile, the "Azure Wind" Inn.
Danitz stared at the visitor in surprise, then turned his head with a questioning look in his eyes.
"Please come in."
Klein strode towards the Sofa area where guests were greeted.
"No, it's urgent." The middle-aged male visitor wearing a boat-shaped hat, Captain Elland of the "White Agate," shook his head gravely.
"What is it?" Klein asked, feigning ignorance.
He had Danitz post the "whistleblower letter" at the Church last night, and today Elland came looking for him. No one would believe that the two things were unrelated.
Searching for the four imposter Archaeologist from Laticia?
During his conversation with "Vice Admiral Iceberg" Edwina yesterday at noon, Klein obtained some basic information about them.
Elland answered vaguely:
"Several Beyonder with considerable strength, nominally Archaeologist, did bad things on Symeem Island and have now mysteriously disappeared."
"It is speculated that they may have changed their identities and quietly returned to Bayam, where the Military and the church are conducting a city-wide manhunt."
"I hope you can provide any assistance you can, which will not only save you from potential trouble, but also allow you to receive a subsidy afterward."
A city-wide manhunt? Danitz was somewhat tempted.
He's now Great Pirate with Bounty of 4200 pounds!
Seeing that the other person remained unmoved, Elland sighed, "The more people help, the sooner this lurking Catastrophe can end."
Klein was silent for a few seconds, then nodded slightly:
"Good."
The next day, Monday morning.
Klein and Danitz heard a knock at the door at almost the same time yesterday, and unsurprisingly saw Elland outside looking unusually haggard.
The captain, known for his fairness, looked embarrassed and smiled:
"I'm sorry, we couldn't find them yesterday. We need to conduct a more thorough search today, so there might not be time for you to have Breakfast."
"However, I have prepared bread and water."
"Hmm." Klein nodded slightly, noticing the other person's dark circles, then turned to look at Danitz, who was staring in their direction. "Put on your coat and get ready to go."
"Dogshit! Can't you be a little more polite to me? I'm not your servant!" Danitz thought angrily, but then forced a fawning smile.
"OK."
He quickly jumped off the Sofa and changed into his coat and shoes.
"Ahem... Captain Elland." As they were about to leave the suite, Danitz suddenly lowered his voice, "Have you spotted that Jodson guy?"
Elland glanced at him. "Which answer do you want to hear?"
Danitz paused for a moment:
"Nothing was found."
"Congratulations, you guessed right." Elland chuckled, his expression quickly turning serious. "Let's get down to business first; we can talk about other things later."
Around noon.
Klein suddenly clutched his stomach and looked at Elland, who was taking big bites of bread.
Elland nodded slightly, without saying a word.
Klein then strode eastward—he had seen public Washroom there during the search, and further away were abandoned warehouses.
While relieving himself in the Washroom that morning, he received a letter from Mr. Azik, which described several methods for locating the Spirit World.
One method involves Sacrifice, followed by divination, and then finding something that the "Sea God" Kalvetua cannot refuse.
Furthermore, he was proficient in divination.
Even before setting sail, he had learned of the potential benefits of "Sea God" Kalvetua from the Emperor Roselle's Diary.
