Background

Tang Hao was the second son of Clear Sky Sect Master Tang Zhen and the younger brother of Tang Xiao. As one of the sect's foremost geniuses, he was expected to enter a politically advantageous marriage arranged by his father. Instead, he fell in love with Ah Yin, a hundred-thousand-year transformed soul beast, and eloped with her after Tang Zhen rejected their relationship. 34 37

Tang Zhen secretly exploited the couple's situation. He arranged for Tang Hao and Ah Yin to be exposed in Lanxia City, expecting Spirit Hall's pursuit to drive Ah Yin into sacrificing herself and leave Tang Hao with a hundred-thousand-year ninth soul ring. 50

Tang Hao is a tall, powerfully built middle-aged man whose appearance is notably neglected.

Personality

Tang Hao is fiercely protective of the people he accepts as family. He rejected Qian Xunji's description of Ah Yin as a soul beast, calling her his wife, and risked his life to buy her time to escape. He later appeared openly in Spirit City to prevent Spirit Hall from taking Tang San. 47 48 243

His devotion can become ruthless. To escape Spirit City with Tang San, he threatened to destroy homes and endanger civilians, forcing Bibi Dong, Yue Guan, and Gui Mei to prioritize the city's protection over pursuing him. 244 245

He is also deeply unwilling to accept threats to his idea of family. Although Ah Yin told him that their original child had died and that another entity occupied Tang San's body, Tang Hao chose to continue treating Tang San as his son. This decision ended Ah Yin's remaining attachment to him. 85 272 273

Ah Yin's Exposure and Sacrifice

Tang Hao brought Ah Yin to Lanxia City after assuring her that the local Soul Masters would be too weak to expose her. Qian Xunji nonetheless detected her true identity, forcing Tang Hao to hold off the Pope while Ah Yin fled. 46 48

After Spirit Hall pursued them, Ah Yin sacrificed herself. Her sacrifice gave Tang Hao a red hundred-thousand-year ninth soul ring and enabled him to grievously injure Qian Xunji. 54

Clear Sky Sect's Calamity

Tang Hao's conflict with Spirit Hall and the death of Qian Xunji brought retaliation upon the Clear Sky Sect. After arguing with Tang Zhen over the sect's refusal to support him, Tang Hao left in anger; Spirit Hall soon attacked the sect and its subordinate clans. 57 58

Notting Academy and Xiao Wu's Test

While secretly watching Tang San near Notting Academy, Tang Hao returned from an unsuccessful search for Ah Yin's seed and questioned Yu Xiaogang about Tang San's first soul ring. 125 126

Under the influence of Su Mo's Mind Warp, Tang Hao confronted Su Mo and Xiao Wu in disguise. He exposed Xiao Wu as a transformed hundred-thousand-year soul beast and tested whether Su Mo would surrender her; after Su Mo chose to protect her, Tang Hao withdrew. 128 130

Spirit City Escape

When Bibi Dong publicly exposed Tang San as his son and ordered his arrest, Tang Hao emerged from hiding to protect him. Despite being besieged by Bibi Dong, Yue Guan, and Gui Mei, he enabled Tang San's escape by threatening Spirit City's civilians and buildings. 242 245

Blue Silver Emperor Awakening

Tang Hao took Tang San from their mountain training site to a Blue Silver Grass forest, intending to strengthen him and awaken his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. Ah Yin's consciousness intervened during the ritual, revealing herself to both father and son. 270 273

Final Operation and Death

Tang Hao reunited with Tang Chen and joined him and Tang San in attempting to expose Spirit Hall's alleged plan to seize the Heaven Dou throne. He and Tang Chen infiltrated the Prince's Residence to rescue Xue Beng and Prince Xue Xing, but the operation was a trap prepared by Su Mo. 281 288

Tang Hao and Tang Chen were eliminated before Qian Renxue's ascension, leaving Tang San as the only surviving member of the group in Heaven Dou Imperial City. 291
