At Bacheng Medical College, Luo Yang was dependable, hardworking, and academically outstanding. He and Liang Hong studied under Wang Shunli. When Wang became director of a private hospital, he brought Luo Yang with him; Liang Hong also obtained a position through their connection 1.

Luo Yang lived with Liang Hong for almost a year, devoting much of his time to medical study and cultivation. He initially regarded both her and Wang Shunli as trustworthy, effectively treating them as family 1.

Betrayal makes him more skeptical and assertive. He remains composed when former classmates belittle him, recognizes attempts to manipulate him, and refuses to rescue men who tried to turn thugs against him. Betrayal, Awakening, and the Song Family Conflict

Discovering Wang Shunli and Liang Hong’s affair also exposes a plan to make Luo Yang take the blame if Song Meiqi’s risky operation fails. His inheritance awakens during the confrontation. He retaliates, photographs the pair, and subsequently leaves Wise Heaven Hospital; he later states that he resigned rather than being fired 1 18.

He turns to treating Meiqi directly and protects her from the Song family’s attempts to remove her from Ye Zi. By demonstrating his medical ability, he secures Liu Youshui’s intervention, though he keeps control over the terms of Liu’s treatment 2 6 9 10 11.

Independent Practice and Former Classmates

Luo Yang exposes Liu Youshui’s attempted compromising trap, obtains a villa, and moves into his own home. He also rejects Song Dongming’s offer to pay him to abandon Ye Zi and Meiqi 13 14 16.

At a reunion, his former roommates mock his career until Ye Zi’s restaurant staff honor him as an important guest. When thugs intervene, Luo Yang uses his connection to Liu to leave with Wu Shenglan, refusing to help the classmates who tried to turn the confrontation against him 18 19 20 21.

Sanxingdui Possession Cases

Introduced through Ye Yiming, Luo Yang investigates unconscious archaeological personnel and identifies shamanic possession rather than an ordinary medical illness. He negotiates a million-yuan treatment contract, cures Shi Fei, and establishes the Bronze Knife as the source of the danger 23 24 27 30 31.

The Witch Ruins protects him when the knife attacks. Rather than destroy the relic or its spirit, he transfers Feather Blade’s Eye to his phone, leaving the knife intact and harmless. The museum pays his service fee, and Bai Jing becomes his disciple 34 36 37 42.

Framing Attempt and the Modern Witch Artifact

Yang Long and Zhang Bai arrange a pregnant rider’s collision with Luo Yang and accuse him of molesting her. Surveillance footage and the attackers’ conduct expose the setup. During the incident, Feather Blade’s Eye begins reacting; afterward, Luo Yang discovers its fusion with his phone and tests its animal-control ability 40 41 42 43.

Journey to Mangya

While meeting Ye Yiming’s friends, Luo Yang overhears Liu Youshui discussing Ye Zi and her lithium mine with the Song family. He restrains himself from immediately confronting them and leaves to investigate her safety 48 49.

Unable to reach Ye Zi, he flies to Huatu'gou Airport and hires Batu Ga’er for 5,000 yuan to drive him through the desert toward the mine, nearly three hundred kilometers away 50.
