Tudor's ruins
The three walked for more than twenty minutes before finally entering a large hall from this passageway.
The moment the three stepped into the hall, the candlesticks in the hall lit up automatically, and the light from the candlesticks allowed them to see the situation in the hall.
The entire hall was constructed primarily of dark black stone slabs, surrounded by eight columns of the same color. High domes were topped with metal rods, the bases of which were candlesticks carved into different creatures.
Upon closer inspection, one can see slash-like patterns branded on the black walls, and 41 inverted candlesticks on the left and 40 on the right of the dome.
Seeing this layout, Kronos felt a strange sense of familiarity with the style.
The architectural style is typical of the Fourth Epoch, and the number of candlesticks suggests that this Ruins originated from a top-ranking noble family.
Most importantly, this description seems to have appeared in the original work, specifically in the Ruins where the Red Angel Hotpot was imprisoned.
"Could this be the Ruins of Tudor? It's hidden so deep. Could we find the Pyramid if we go any further in?" Kronos wondered to himself.
No wonder it was MI9's Message about the Ruins; no wonder MI9 could locate it without even entering. Now, Kronos is just praying he's wrong, because he's afraid of being silenced.
If this is indeed one of the nine Pyramid of Tudor, then it was part of the Ritual after George III. Amyrius was, after all, Demigod, so there shouldn't be any major issues. But Kronos's significance seems rather minor; I wonder if that will cause any problems.
The hall was empty, devoid of Western Capital, but on the other side of the hall, there was a path leading downwards.
"Kronos, with your family's scholarly background, you should be able to tell what kind of Ruins these are, right?" Since there were no outsiders present, Amyrius directly called him by his real name.
"Hmm." Kronos nodded. "Judging from the architectural style, it should resemble the middle to late Fourth Epoch, because the style is fully formed, unlike the earlier period, which, although it had a rudimentary form, was still somewhat chaotic."
"Judging from the number of candlesticks, the owner of the Ruins was of a very high status, not in terms of family status, but in terms of his own status. He was at least Duke, or even..." Kronos stopped talking, because he knew Amyrius would understand.
"Yes, such a high-level Ruins was actually handed over to me by MI9? They even said that Western Capital inside the Ruins belongs to me. Why do you think that is?" Amyrius continued to ask.
This was the first time Kronos had heard this claim, but based on his understanding, he quickly provided an answer.
"Perhaps it's because MI9 knows this Ruins very well and knows there's nothing of value inside."
Amyrius nodded. "Yes, I guessed so. This time we'll probably just be working for them for free and end up empty-handed."
Even so, the things that need to be done still need to be done.
So Amyrius didn't turn around and leave, but instead led Kronos and the other man down the path.
In the original work, only four of the nine Ruins of Tudor are described. Two are on the Tussock River, one near Backlund and known as Ruins No. 1, and the other is downstream of the Tussock River. The remaining one is in Awwa County and the other in East Chester County.
But Kronos truly hadn't expected that such Ruins could be built all the way to Bayam. Wasn't he afraid that the Death Consul Salinger would discover it and launch an attack at a crucial moment?
But what's done is done. Kronos's only regret was not bringing along any of the blood of Baron Rafter Baron Pound, a descendant of the Tudor Family. What if there were some unexpected gains?
It is unclear whether George III only occupied Tudor's Pyramid or took Western Capital Tudor left behind for himself.
Although Tudor was half-mad before his death, and although Tudor died directly in battle, making it unlikely he left behind any tricks, who knows, he might still have left something behind? Someone of that caliber could leave behind something that would greatly benefit Kronos.
As the three ventured deeper into the area, the surrounding environment became increasingly different.
Gner's Spirituality was not high, so he didn't discover anything, but the Demigod Amyrius and the more Spirituality advanced Kronos could clearly sense that they were no longer in an underground space.
In fact, their feeling was correct; Tudor's nine Ruins were all built with the help of Mr. Door, whom he had specifically asked to help.
It's not just about teleportation between the nine Ruins, but also about their semi-hidden existence between the real world and the Spirit World, which more effectively avoids location tracking.
We walked all the way to the very bottom of the Ruins, and the environment here was just as described in the book: on one side was a gray stone Rock Wall that stretched upwards and seemed to connect to the ground; on the other side was a dark, bottomless valley, like the Abyss dwelling place of Devil.
In the dim light emitted by the strange moss on the Rock Wall, Amyrius saw the platform that MI9 had mentioned.
It was a strange metal I'd never seen before. The entire platform was placed between the Rock Wall and the deep valley, and apart from that, there was nothing else in the entire space.
Kronos knew that there was a teleportation portal on this metal platform, but it was currently unusable. George III had spent countless resources to finally gain control of it.
And Tudor's Pyramid was probably covered up, so the three of them didn't see anything.
"That's it? There's nothing in this entire, huge Ruins?" Gner was unhappy.
After traveling 100 kilometers and digging for several days, this is the final result?
Unfortunately, that's the result.
Amyrius chuckled twice, "Using me? Very well!"
Although it's unclear who Amyrius was referring to, it's highly likely to be either Qonas Kilgor or one of his men.
The major general deputy director of MI9 was the one who helped George III do these things. Although he may be Demigod now, he probably won't have an easy time being targeted by someone like Amyrius.
Although he had been used, Amyrius did not give up on the spot. Instead, he walked onto the platform and threw the Charm in his hand onto it.
Afterwards, spatial fluctuations appeared on the platform, which subsided after a short while.
At this moment, Kronos finally understood some things he hadn't grasped while reading the book.
George III wanted to become a god, Adam was willing and able to help him. The Demoness Sect could help transport people, on the condition that the Hunter Pathway Sequence One Conqueror's Beyonder Characteristic were present. Therefore, the alliance of these three was legitimate.
So Aurora Order? How did a bunch of Lunatic manage to get into such an Alliance?
The person in charge of communication has always been Mr. A, who is at Sequence 5. This definitely doesn't count as military support. The Aurora Order Aurora Order very happy to let them traffic people, but are they sure they would dare to use the people who are brought in? It would be strange if even one of them wasn't a True Creator.
As for the True Creator Himself, there's even less hope that He will intervene. Ritual that would normally be 100% successful might not even succeed with His involvement, let alone one with a low success rate.
But now, seeing the fluctuations on the platform, Kronos understood.
The reason the Aurora Order joined was because of one person, a former student of the Abraham Family, now the Aurora Order's "Saint of Secrets," Secrets Sorcerer of the Sequence 4 Apprentice Pathway Path - Botis.
The other three parties were also forced into this situation. Faced with the methods set up by Mr. Door, unless one is Demigod of the same Sequence, one would not be able to see even the slightest clue.
And where are the Demigod in the Apprentice Pathway? They've all been killed by Mr. Door's shouts.
Therefore, they must bring in the Aurora Order, then have Botis locate the nine Ruins, and finally crack Mr. Door's methods.
That's why the True Creator Descent Backlund, and the Despair Nightingale was merely using this as an excuse to spread some plagues.
However, the Descent of the True Creator was prevented, so only a plague remained, which became the "Backlund Great Smog" event.
This explains why the Information provided by MI9 was just a Coordinates; it was only a general location detected by the system, and they didn't really know anything more.
After completing all of this, the three of them stood in front of the metal platform, suddenly unsure of what to do next.
Finally, Kronos timidly offered his suggestion. "How about we go back?"
Indeed, what's the point of standing here when there's an empty Ruins, devoid of Wraith and opportunities?
Gner knew that the suggestion was made by Kronos to Admiral Amyrius, so he didn't respond at all.
Amyrius was somewhat at a loss at this point, having already arranged all his official duties for the next day in order to explore the Ruins.
But to my surprise, after walking for two hours through the Ruins' passageway and then throwing down a Charm, all the work was done.
Just then, a voice came from the platform. "Is that Amyrius?"
Amyrius's expression shifted, the voice sounding somewhat familiar. "Yes, may I ask Your Excellency are?"
Grove Augustus.
Kronos knew the name naturally; Prince of Sonia of the Royal Family family, a Sequence 3 Chaos Hunter, who seemed to be overseeing the matter.
"Prince." Since even Kronos knew this name, Amyrius certainly couldn't be unaware of it, so he bowed to the platform.
The voice continued, "I know you suffered a loss this time, but this matter is extremely important, and this merit will be recorded. You can leave now. I will then send someone to take over this Ruins. But remember, anyone who speaks carelessly or might speak carelessly should not leave this Ruins."
