Yang Yi and Su Na discovered a strange cross-shaped island and sailed toward it, only to learn from the Crystal Ball that it was actually the player ship Shelter, apparently abandoned by a previous batch of players. Yang Yi decided to investigate the ship despite the danger.

• Yang Yi tested the darkness with the Penitent Armor, then fed seven monster remains into the Gacha Machine and gave Su Na the Strengthening Bone Powder and Sea-Brewed Rum.
• After the bonfire went out, the Black Fog became active again and climbed the Mast, while Yang Yi waited for the Lookout skill to recharge.
• Yang Yi used Lookout and found a cross-shaped island about 1,100 nautical miles away; he and Su Na agreed it appeared artificial and set the Nightmare Star's course toward it.

• Yang Yi used Peering to locate the Shelter, then ordered the Nightmare Star closer while he and Su Na prepared to explore.
• Yang Yi inspected the cross-shaped Shelter with Three Eyes, found its four harbors, and noticed a massive breach at its center.
• Yang Yi and Su Na circled the Shelter until Su Na spotted a sailing ship in the fourth harbor.
• Yang Yi confirmed the ship was likely Indigenous and asked Su Na how to check whether anything was aboard.
• Yang Yi moved closer and fired two shots at the ship's deck.

Yang Yi and Su Na boarded an Indigenous People's ship to investigate it, but Yang Yi crashed through its rotten deck into the hold. There they discovered fragments of Light Fairies that emitted light capable of driving away darkness.

• Yang Yi had the Nightmare Star moor beside the Indigenous People's ship and prepared to board with Su Na.
• Yang Yi carried Su Na to the ship, cleared away the black shadows, and leaped toward its deck.
• The rotten deck collapsed beneath Yang Yi, dropping him and Su Na into the hold.
• A bright light inside the hold dispersed the darkness, and Su Na identified fragments beneath Yang Yi as its source.
• Yang Yi learned that the glowing fragments came from Light Fairies and that black Light-Sealing Containers held more fragments to ward off darkness.

Yang Yi and Su Na searched the occupied indigenous magic ship, collecting supplies and uncovering severed limbs linked to the Limb Spider Cult. Su Na found a book titled Limb Grafting Notes, while the ship became available for dismantling in one hour.

• Yang Yi collected Light Fairy Shard containers, Black-Skinned Potatoes, and 192 liters of fresh water from the ship.
• The system notified Yang Yi that he had occupied the Magic Sailing Ship and could dismantle it in one hour.
• Yang Yi searched the stern, found a hidden compartment, and recovered severed limbs, Conch Coins, and a Cooling Fan.

• Yang Yi failed to properly learn Grafting Surgery from the Limb Grafting Notes but gained a novice skill, and Su Na explained how spinal fluid or a miraculous spell could reduce rejection.

• Yang Yi and Su Na read Direk’s notes and studied his sea chart, which mapped the Shelter and suggested the locations of Cook Island and the Golden Commerce Guild.
• Yang Yi learned that the indigenous people had salvaged and modified Magic Ships, then dismantled Direk’s rotting ship for supplies.
• Yang Yi and Su Na entered the Shelter through a breached doorway and found its entrance and reception area stripped of valuables.

Yang Yi and Su Na explored the Shelter and descended to its General Warehouse, where Yang Yi discovered a hidden mass of breathing creatures inside the walls. The chapter ended after he stabbed a giant rat through the wall, revealing one of the hidden creatures.

• Yang Yi studied the Shelter map and planned to search the General Warehouse and the captain's room at the top of the central tower.
• Su Na found a cracked Cyclops leg bone, and Yang Yi connected it to the Limb Spider Cult and a warped door at the bottom of the elevator shaft.
• Yang Yi and Su Na climbed down to the eighth underground level, where Yang Yi found an old canned-food label but no supplies.
• Yang Yi heard numerous creatures breathing ahead and inside the walls, then pierced a hollow section with the Flame Serpent's Fang.

Yang Yi and Su Na discovered that the oversized House Mice were packed with hundreds of smaller mice and captured several for study. As they continued through the ducts, Yang Yi spotted a black humanoid figure ahead and threw a bone spear at it.

• Yang Yi killed a House Mouse in a cable duct and learned that it could live inside other creatures and resist the darkness's corrosion.
• Su Na dissected the mouse, discovering more than three hundred miniature mice hidden beneath its skin and inside its body.
• Su Na asked Yang Yi to catch living mice, and they prepared sheet-metal containers for the specimens.
• Yang Yi and Su Na opened another House Mouse, killed most of the mice that swarmed out, and captured a few survivors after removing their teeth.
• Yang Yi spotted a black humanoid figure ahead with his Three Eyes and hurled a bone spear at it.

Yang Yi and Su Na were overwhelmed by rats while exploring the lower levels of the Nightmare Star and escaped up the elevator shaft. Yang Yi’s Flame Projection drove the swarm back, and the two headed to the ship to recover before continuing their exploration.

• Yang Yi impaled a rat-filled humanoid with his short spear, but its cries stirred rats in the walls and vents around them.
• Yang Yi used grease Molotov Cocktails to hold off the swarm, then carried Su Na back toward the elevator shaft behind her Force Field Deflection Great Shield.
• Yang Yi fought off rats with the Flame Serpent's Fang and the Maw of Gluttony while Su Na climbed, then burned the rats biting his back with Healing of the Flame.
• Yang Yi and Su Na climbed to the third floor as the rats surged up the shaft, and Yang Yi used Flame Projection to send a giant serpent of fire down through the swarm.

• Yang Yi returned to the Nightmare Star with Su Na, used a Light Container to clear darkness from the ship, and tested several trophies on the Execution Rack.
• Yang Yi displayed a House Mouse head and gained the skill Summon Skeleton Rat, then tested bones and limbs that added small amounts of hull durability.

• Yang Yi read World Chat reports about a player robbing a Golden Commerce Guild ship and another publishing a World Map, then sent Song Yingwen information about House Mice, black shadows, and Light Containers.
• Yang Yi sold his Engineering Gloves for 7,999 Conch Coins, ate spoiled Super Delicious Cake, and cooked Black-Skinned Potatoes with salted Dried Fish.
• Su Na kept two House Mice alive inside Pale Worm tentacles after another mouse exposed to black fog aged and died.

• Yang Yi left the Nightmare Star under the Penitent Armor’s guard and entered the Shelter through a breach.
• Yang Yi found severe battle damage inside but no player corpses, then abandoned the blocked stairwell and climbed the lighthouse in Wolf Transformation.
• Yang Yi reached the looted captain’s quarters and discovered a message scratched into a metal desk: “Laboratory 3, medical area, Area C.”
• Yang Yi checked the Shelter’s structural diagram, learned Area C was devoted to technology and included a large medical section, and photographed the message.

Yang Yi recovered the Bone Spear from the ruins and discovered that it grew bone barbs and could mutate a target’s bones. He brought the strange, incomplete skeleton back for Su Na to examine.

• Yang Yi caught a live Long-Legged Sardine by hanging a Light Container over the ship’s side and discussed his theory that a rebellion had destroyed the Shelter’s Captain’s Quarters with Su Na.
• After resting, Yang Yi sailed the Nightmare Star to the previous port, where Su Na gave him two bottles of her experimental Spirit Potion.
• Yang Yi sent the Penitent Armor down the elevator shaft and found no House Mice in the scorched ruins.
• At the end of the corridor, Yang Yi found the unidentified creature reduced to a skeleton and observed that the Bone Spear had grown barbs and mutated nearby bones.
• Yang Yi freed the Bone Spear and noticed that the skeleton lacked ribs and a lower jaw, so he prepared to bring it to Su Na.

Yang Yi and Su Na examined the remains of a Rat Slave and discussed how House Mice might have contributed to the Shelter’s fall. They sailed to Area C and found a warning painted on its damaged gate, which Yang Yi sent the Penitent Armor through.

• Yang Yi identified the bones as belonging to a player named Gu Ze, a Rat Slave parasitized by House Mice, and Su Na reconstructed the skeleton to study its deformities.
• Su Na suggested collecting House Mouse pelts for armor and trade, while Yang Yi stored the bones for a future gacha exchange.
• Yang Yi asked whether the mice had caused the Shelter to fall, and Su Na said she needed a living specimen to examine their toxins.
• Yang Yi and Su Na sailed to Area C, where Yang Yi used the Eye of Greed Telescope but found no valuable targets.

Yang Yi and Su Na reached the sealed entrance to Medical Area Laboratory No. 3, where a transparent wall and laser guns guarded the way. After the Penitent Armor failed to break through, Su Na used her magic to destroy one of the guns, leaving them poised to continue their attempt to enter.

• Yang Yi sent the Penitent Armor and Skeleton Rat down to Underwater Level Three, where an intact disinfection chamber and warning sign marked the laboratory entrance.
• The chamber's security system activated, and its laser guns burned the Skeleton Rat to ash and damaged the Penitent Armor.
• Yang Yi tried to smash through the transparent wall, but it held firm and broke his Crystal Greatsword before he withdrew the damaged armor.
• Yang Yi told Su Na they would try the Flintlock's Roaring Mode or find another route, but Su Na said she had a way.

Yang Yi and Su Na defeated the beam guns, discovered a strange robot behind the security door, and found that it recognized Su Na as a doctor. Xiaoji opened the transparent wall and offered to capture Yang Yi, whom it mistook for an escaped test subject.

• Su Na used Curling Touch to destroy both beam guns while her force field deflected their shots.
• Yang Yi noticed the room was unnaturally clean and warned Su Na that something else was inside.
• A damaged six-armed robot emerged from the security door and mistook Su Na for a doctor.
• Yang Yi tried to pass himself off as the Shelter First Mate, but the robot ignored him as an escaped test subject.
• Su Na ordered the robot to open the Protective Wall, and Xiaoji raised it.

Yang Yi and Su Na explored the Laboratory, where Xiaoji Robot guarded the facility and its restricted area. Su Na found Dr. Wei’s remains and learned that she had been parasitized by a House Mouse, while a photograph suggested Dr. Wei had been close to the ship’s captain.

• Yang Yi and Su Na entered the Laboratory with Xiaoji Robot and found that darkness had rusted much of the equipment.
• Yang Yi discovered a damaged ceiling opening and concluded that intruders had fought Xiaoji Robot and likely suffered heavy losses.
• Xiaoji Robot said Dr. Wei had stayed in the restricted room for over 1,745,000 days, and Su Na entered alone while Yang Yi remained outside.
• Su Na passed rows of jars containing skeletal specimens and found a desiccated mutant seated at a desk in the innermost room.
• Su Na identified the corpse as Wei Qian, a human parasitized by a House Mouse, and found a photograph of her with a man who appeared to be the ship’s captain.

Su Na explored Wei Qian’s laboratory and uncovered records about the House Mice, their parasitic pheromone, and a potion that could kill them. She left with evidence to study and the possibility of reproducing the Rat Killer, while Yang Yi hoped to use it against the rats.

• Su Na examined the tablet’s chat messages and learned that Dijie had warned Wei Qian to escape to Area C, while Wei Qian’s unsent reply suggested she died soon afterward.
• Su Na identified an empty bottle as Rat Killer, a potion made by Wei Qian that killed rats when they smelled it, and sent its information to Yang Yi.
• Yang Yi asked Su Na to reproduce the potion so he could poison the rats, and Su Na said she should be able to.
• Su Na reviewed Wei Qian’s experiments and learned that House Mice could parasitize many creatures and manipulate hosts with a powerful love pheromone.

• Su Na found an anonymous A-rank access card and was sealed inside the laboratory, where Wei Qian’s hologram gave her a timed test.
• Su Na scored one hundred on the test, and Wei Qian identified her as a witch and explained how to access research stored in the robot.
• Wei Qian warned Su Na that traitors might be among the players and told her to watch out for Beautiful Dream.
• Yang Yi befriended the Xiaoji Robot and used the food printer to produce dishes and drinks.
• Su Na asked what the food was made from, and the Xiaoji Robot revealed that it was mostly rats, upsetting Yang Yi.

Yang Yi and Su Na gathered equipment and robots from the Shelter as they prepared to make a rat killer and deal with the House Mice. After a damaged data transfer revealed that Xiaoji had changed far beyond its original programming, Su Na suspected the robot had developed a soul.

• Yang Yi learned that the House Mice had overrun the Shelter and that rats still nested in the General Warehouse, then took ten roast chickens from the food printer.
• Su Na took over Dr. Wei’s work, and Xiaoji recognized her as its new master while answering Yang Yi’s questions about the Shelter’s past population and surviving robots.
• Yang Yi summoned three damaged robots, named them Little One, Xiao Er, and Little Three, and brought them with Xiaoji back to the Nightmare Star.

• Yang Yi sailed the Nightmare Star back to the original port and found that a Rat Slave skeleton granted the ship the ability to summon ten Skeleton Rats.

• Su Na organized Wei Qian’s damaged research records and learned about his Magic Stone energy technology.
• Xiaoji told Su Na that Yang Yi had recorded a warning about her long hours, and she went to the deck while Yang Yi pretended to sleep.
• Yang Yi reviewed the robot manual, prepared supplies and weapons, and set out with Little One and Number Three to catch Rat Slaves.

• Yang Yi entered the third-floor corridor in Werewolf Form and was struck by a powerful arm reaching from the elevator shaft.
• A Conjoined Limb Spider emerged, repaired its limbs with Grafting Surgery, and sent House Mice to attack Yang Yi and the robots Little One and Little Three.
• Yang Yi removed the monster’s enhanced arm and set himself on fire to keep the little House Mice from parasitizing him.
