Arc 2The Star Plasma Vessel and Geto’s Fall

Li Shunchen tried to protect Riko Amanai and those around him while preparing for Toji Fushiguro, but Riko died and Suguru Geto later turned against non-sorcerers. The arc ended with Geto designated for execution and Shunchen recovering from his failed attempt to stop him.

  • Toji Fushiguro killed Li Shunchen in the simulation, prompting Shunchen to study his techniques and prepare for another encounter.
  • Li Shunchen demonstrated Phantom Parade, copied techniques, healed Masamichi Yaga, and built Wukong as a combat tool.
  • Li Shunchen investigated Toji Fushiguro and joined Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto on missions, including the escort of Riko Amanai.
  • Toji Fushiguro killed Riko Amanai, but Li Shunchen helped Satoru Gojo revive and defeat him.
  • Li Shunchen challenged Suguru Geto’s growing belief that non-sorcerers should be killed and warned him against turning suffering into an excuse for slaughter.
  • After discovering two abused young sorcerers in a village, Suguru Geto killed 112 villagers despite Li Shunchen’s attempt to stop him.
  • Suguru Geto critically wounded Li Shunchen and was designated for execution, while Shoko Ieiri treated Shunchen and Satoru Gojo reassured him that Geto’s actions were not his fault.
Chapters 26–50 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 26Invisible killing intent and revised tactics

Li Shunchen relived the Star Plasma Vessel mission but was ambushed and killed by Toji Fushiguro before he could change its outcome. After the simulation ended, Li Shunchen recognized how his presence had made him Toji’s first target and vowed to prepare for their next encounter.

  • At Jujutsu High, Suguru Geto told Riko Amanai and Misato Kuroi they were safe, while Li Shunchen remained wary of Toji Fushiguro.
  • Toji Fushiguro appeared behind Li Shunchen without cursed energy or killing intent and pierced his heart before he could react.
  • Li Shunchen died, and the simulation awarded him memories, jujutsu experience, increased cursed energy, and an Overachiever Card [R].
  • After waking, Li Shunchen realized Toji had targeted him first because his healing ability could save Satoru Gojo.
  • Li Shunchen wondered what deeper truth lay behind the Star Plasma Vessel Incident and vowed not to let Toji succeed so easily next time.

Ch. 27What Filthy Thing Did You Eat?

On his second day at Jujutsu High, Li Shunchen explained that his cursed technique, Phantom Parade, could analyze and reproduce other techniques, then demonstrated a crude version of Satoru Gojo’s Blue. Gojo recognized the feat as an imitation of Limitless and became fascinated by Li Shunchen, who claimed he could eventually uncover every secret in the classroom.

  • Masamichi Yaga asked Li Shunchen to explain his cursed technique after Satoru Gojo, Shoko Ieiri, and Suguru Geto introduced theirs.
  • Satoru Gojo noticed Li Shunchen’s cursed energy had risen by at least thirty percent overnight and questioned him about it.
  • Li Shunchen described Phantom Parade’s first stage, which analyzed cursed techniques, and explained how Limitless worked.
  • Li Shunchen used the technique’s reproduction stage to pull a piece of chalk toward himself with a crude imitation of Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue.
  • Satoru Gojo recognized the imitation and eagerly questioned Li Shunchen, who said he could eventually uncover everyone’s secrets.

Ch. 28A true genius

Li Shunchen demonstrated that Phantom Parade could reproduce Satoru Gojo’s Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue and reveal the sensory experience of Suguru Geto’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation. He then healed Masamichi Yaga with Reverse Cursed Technique and suggested Phantom Parade might also analyze cursed spirits, leaving the group eager to see how his abilities would develop.

  • Li Shunchen reproduced Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, astonishing Masamichi Yaga and Satoru Gojo.
  • Li Shunchen revealed that he knew how revolting it felt to absorb cursed spirits, convincing Suguru Geto that Phantom Parade was genuine.
  • Li Shunchen cut Masamichi Yaga’s palm with Asagirimaru, prompting Satoru Gojo to attack him before Suguru Geto intervened.
  • Li Shunchen used Reverse Cursed Technique to heal Masamichi Yaga’s hand, startling the group and exciting Shoko Ieiri.
  • Masamichi Yaga asked whether Phantom Parade could analyze cursed spirits, and Li Shunchen said he thought it could.
  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto welcomed the prospect of bringing Li Shunchen on missions, realizing he was not a newcomer who needed their protection.

Ch. 29Monsters...

Li Shunchen asked Masamichi Yaga to teach him to control Cursed Corpses, explaining that his Phantom Parade could maintain only one replicated Cursed Technique at a time. The chapter left Yaga astonished when Li Shunchen controlled three Cursed Corpse skeletons with exceptional precision on his first try.

  • Li Shunchen saw that only Shoko Ieiri had formally recognized him and concluded he needed greater strength to earn Gojo and Geto's recognition.
  • Li Shunchen asked Masamichi Yaga to teach him Cursed Corpse construction and control, but Yaga urged him to refine Limitless and Cursed Spirit Manipulation instead.
  • Li Shunchen explained that switching replicated Cursed Techniques severed his existing connection, making independently operating Cursed Corpses a useful tactical supplement.
  • Masamichi Yaga challenged Li Shunchen to make three practice Cursed Corpses stand at once, and Li Shunchen immediately raised them and placed them in different combat stances.
  • Masamichi Yaga marveled at Li Shunchen's control, while Li Shunchen attributed it to childhood experience with marionettes.

Ch. 30Hidden judgment

After gaining an extra causal observation opportunity through Masamichi Yaga’s recognition, Li Shunchen began a new simulation determined to grow strong enough to defeat Toji Fushiguro. He quickly built and tested an exceptional cursed corpse named Wukong, then asked Yaga about the special cursed corpse he truly wanted to create.

  • The system credited Yaga’s recognition with expanding Li Shunchen’s causal connections and granting him one additional simulation opportunity.
  • Li Shunchen used the opportunity and found that his talent let him master cursed corpse construction far faster than before.
  • After a month, Li Shunchen presented Yaga with Wukong, a fifty-centimeter cursed corpse designed for agile combat and easy cleaning.
  • Wukong defeated a Grade 2 Cursed Spirit during a field test by striking its core, impressing Yaga with its performance.
  • That evening, Li Shunchen studied Yaga’s three-core cursed corpse design and asked whether Yaga’s true goal was something other than building a combat weapon.

Ch. 31Fully Independent Cursed Corpse

Shunchen studied Masamichi Yaga’s theory for creating fully independent cursed corpses, but progress stalled, so he upgraded Wukong into a powerful combat puppet. As the Star Plasma Vessel mission approached, he decided Wukong could only serve as a disposable distraction against Toji Fushiguro.

  • Masamichi Yaga explained that he was trying to create an autonomous cursed corpse by copying the information of souls into a core, and Shunchen obtained preliminary blueprints for the theory.
  • Shunchen spent months studying with Yaga, but the theory’s core problem remained unresolved.
  • Shunchen used his research and special-grade cursed tool fragments to rebuild Wukong with a stronger skeleton and an extending imitation Ruyi Jingu Bang.
  • Shunchen recognized that Wukong could not defeat Toji Fushiguro and resolved to use it only to create an opening for escape.

Ch. 32Too slow

Li joined the Goodwill Event to test his combat abilities and defeated two Kyoto Jujutsu High students with Wukong’s help. After healing his injury, he worried that his speed and tactics would not be enough against a powerful opponent like Toji Fushiguro.

  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto insulted the Kyoto team and raced off to hunt Cursed Spirits when the event began.
  • Li left the main battlefield to find isolated opponents and encountered two Kyoto students who underestimated him as a healer.
  • Li used Wukong’s extending staff to outmaneuver and defeat the two students in a two-on-one fight.
  • Li healed a cut on his arm with Reverse Cursed Technique and concluded that his current combat approach would fail against Toji Fushiguro.

Ch. 33An information deal

After the match, Li Shunchen paid Mei Mei for detailed information about Toji Zenin, the Sorcerer Killer. He learned about Toji’s rejection by the Zenin Clan, his work as a lone curse user, and his gambling debts, leaving Shunchen considering how to use that information in the future.

  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto praised Li Shunchen’s doll as a useful combat tool, while treating it like an amusing toy.
  • Li Shunchen gave Mei Mei his mission savings and asked her for everything she knew about Toji Zenin.
  • Mei Mei explained that Toji had been rejected by the Zenin Clan because his Heavenly Restriction left him without cursed energy.
  • Mei Mei said the current Zenin Clan likely could not stand against Satoru Gojo, though it had once rivaled a sorcerer with both the Six Eyes and Limitless.
  • Mei Mei told Li Shunchen that Toji worked alone on difficult jobs and was short of money because of his gambling; Li began forming ideas for the future.

Ch. 34Masochism

After spending months researching Toji Fushiguro and obtaining information about how to contact him, Li drew a card that made pain stimulate him and joined Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto on a mission to rescue Utahime Iori. He entered the mansion’s spatial barrier and used the cursed technique he had studied in the previous simulation.

  • Li convinced Mei Mei that his interest in Toji Zenin came from research into replicating Heavenly Restriction for autonomous cursed corpses, and she agreed to investigate.
  • Over the following months, Mei Mei found that Toji Fushiguro frequented Fuchū Racecourse and that Shiu Kong was his reliable contact; Li memorized the information but said he needed to earn more money first.
  • At the annual card draw, Li obtained Masochism [R], which reduced pain-related sluggishness and slightly improved his reaction speed while injured.
  • When Kento Nanami and Yu Haibara joined Tokyo Jujutsu High, Shoko lost contact with Utahime Iori’s team during a mission in Shizuoka, so Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Li went to assist.
  • At an abandoned mansion, Li stopped Satoru Gojo from destroying the structure and entered its disorienting spatial barrier alone.
  • After Utahime called out that she and Mei Mei were trapped, Li activated the cursed spirit’s technique, Circulating Corridor.

Ch. 35Misunderstanding

Shunchen shattered the cursed spirit’s spatial corridor and subdued it, impressing Utahime, Mei Mei, Gojo, and Geto. He left the barely living spirit for Geto to absorb as a useful new cursed spirit.

  • Shunchen overlaid the cursed spirit’s corridor with an opposite technique, breaking the barrier and restoring the mansion’s original layout.
  • Mei Mei wondered whether Shunchen had copied the technique instantly, while Utahime praised him and clung to his sleeve.
  • Gojo and Geto arrived, teased Utahime, and watched as the cursed spirit tried to escape into the woods.
  • Shunchen intercepted the cursed spirit and defeated it with a cursed-energy-reinforced punch and shoulder throw.
  • Shunchen left the nearly exorcised spirit alive and suggested that Geto take it as a new cursed spirit.

Ch. 36Nothing would change

At Jujutsu High, Shunchen was invited to weigh in on Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto’s disagreement over the duty of powerful sorcerers. He rejected both their positions and argued that nothing would change until someone addressed how humans’ negative emotions continually created curses.

  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto argued over whether jujutsu sorcerers should protect non-sorcerers or use their strength freely.
  • Satoru Gojo tossed the basketball to Shunchen and asked him to choose a side, while Suguru Geto also invited his opinion.
  • Shunchen challenged Suguru Geto’s idea that the strong should protect the weak by pointing out that ordinary people could create curses that killed sorcerers.
  • Shunchen told Satoru Gojo that freedom without any purpose could become chaos, though he understood Gojo’s resistance to being controlled by others’ moral demands.
  • Shunchen said he would help or fight people according to his own judgment and argued that sorcerers’ arguments were pointless unless they addressed the human emotions that created curses.

Ch. 37Those who play with fire will burn themselves

Li Shunchen arrived early to protect Riko Amanai and used Directional Blast Boundary to turn Kekun’s explosive trap against him. The Star Plasma Vessel was safe, while Kekun was left screaming after his own detonator blast destroyed his hand.

  • Li Shunchen urged Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto to reach the hotel before the mission’s planned countdown began.
  • When Misato Kuroi’s room triggered an explosion, Li Shunchen redirected the blast outside the building and told Suguru Geto to check on Riko Amanai.
  • Suguru Geto kicked open Riko Amanai’s door, where she shouted and struck him, confirming that she was unharmed.
  • Kekun tried to detonate his lighter-shaped Cursed Tool at close range, but Li Shunchen changed the explosion’s coordinates to Kekun’s hand.
  • Kekun lost two fingers and screamed as Li Shunchen told him that those who played with fire would burn themselves.

Ch. 38Overacting

Shunchen allowed events to follow the expected course so Misato Kuroi would be kidnapped and the group would travel to Okinawa, preserving his chance to anticipate Toji Fushiguro’s attack. On the third night there, he urged Satoru Gojo to rest, but Gojo questioned Shunchen’s motives and suspected he was hiding something.

  • Shunchen chose not to prevent Misato Kuroi’s kidnapping, believing that changing events could make Toji Fushiguro’s attack unpredictable.
  • Shunchen and the others negotiated for Kuroi’s release and rescued her in Okinawa.
  • Satoru Gojo suggested that the group stay in Okinawa for an extra day, turning the escort mission into a brief school trip.
  • On the third night, Shunchen told Gojo to deactivate Limitless and sleep so he would be rested for a possible attack.
  • Gojo questioned Shunchen’s sudden advice, then agreed to sleep after Geto took over and asked whether Shunchen had been keeping something from them.

Ch. 39Was it because of me?

Shunchen used a cursed-energy clone to ambush Toji Fushiguro and create an opening for Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, but when he reached the battle afterward, he found Gojo dead. Blaming himself, Shunchen desperately tried to revive him with Reverse Cursed Technique.

  • At the airport, Shunchen took Nanami's Cleaver and prepared a clone to act as bait, while his original body hid in the mountain forest.
  • After the group entered Jujutsu High's barrier, Toji Fushiguro killed Wukong and pierced Shunchen's clone through the heart.
  • Shunchen used the pain to strike Toji's arm with the Cleaver, then his clone vanished and bought Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto time to attack.
  • Shunchen hurried toward the battle and found Satoru Gojo lying dead with his throat slit and forehead pierced.
  • Shunchen blamed himself for Gojo's death and used Reverse Cursed Technique on him, pleading for him to move.

Ch. 40I'm Not Dead Yet

After Shunchen used Reverse Cursed Technique to save Satoru Gojo, Gojo awakened and rushed with him to confront Toji Fushiguro. Shunchen realized Riko and Geto might be dead, but Toji attacked him before he could reach the Tombs of the Star Corridor.

  • As Shunchen’s positive energy flooded his brain, Satoru Gojo understood Reverse Cursed Technique and healed his fatal injuries.
  • Satoru Gojo revived, thanked Shunchen in his own teasing way, and carried him toward the Tombs of the Star Corridor to face Toji Fushiguro.
  • Toji Fushiguro was shocked to find Satoru Gojo alive and recognized that Shunchen had helped him use Reverse Cursed Technique.
  • Shunchen recognized that Toji had come from the Tombs’ lowest level and feared that Riko and Geto were dead.
  • Toji Fushiguro targeted Shunchen and swung the Soul Liberation Blade at his neck.

Ch. 41This wasn't the end

Shunchen reached the Tombs of the Star Corridor after Satoru Gojo stopped Toji Fushiguro, but found Riko Amanai dead and Suguru Geto gravely wounded. As Shunchen treated Geto, he swore that Riko’s death would not be the end and that Toji would not escape.

  • Satoru Gojo blasted Toji Fushiguro through several walls with Cursed Technique Reversal: Red and told Shunchen to leave while he fought.
  • Shunchen found Misato Kuroi critically wounded, called Shoko for help, and rushed to the lowest level of the Tombs of the Star Corridor.
  • Shunchen found Suguru Geto wounded beside the shattered remains of Cursed Spirits and learned that Toji Fushiguro had shot and killed Riko Amanai.
  • Suguru Geto grieved that he and Satoru Gojo had failed to protect Riko after she chose to return with them.
  • Shunchen treated Geto with Reverse Cursed Technique and swore that the tragedy was not over and Toji would not get away.

Ch. 42Meaningless

Li Shunchen returned to the surface with Suguru Geto and found Riko Amanai dead after Satoru Gojo killed Toji Fushiguro with Hollow Technique: Purple. In the aftermath, Satoru Gojo considered killing the Time Vessel Association’s followers, while Suguru Geto restrained him; Shunchen later began investigating who had arranged the attack.

  • Satoru Gojo’s Hollow Technique: Purple erased a swath of Jujutsu High and fatally mutilated Toji Fushiguro, whose Storage Cursed Spirit spilled out Riko Amanai’s corpse.
  • Li Shunchen concealed his grief with mental pollution resistance and Life Is Like a Play as Satoru Gojo arrived, healed and emotionally altered.
  • Satoru Gojo proposed killing the Time Vessel Association’s leaders and followers, but Suguru Geto argued that killing ordinary followers would serve no purpose.
  • Shoko Ieiri treated Suguru Geto, and Satoru Gojo explained how Blue and Red produced Hollow Technique: Purple before telling Shunchen about Toji Fushiguro’s son.
  • The higher-ups took control of the Star Plasma Vessel’s affairs and refused to arrange a funeral for Riko Amanai, while Shunchen learned little about Misato Kuroi’s future.
  • Li Shunchen commissioned Mei Mei to investigate the Time Vessel Association and the person who had issued the mission.

Ch. 43I like you

Li Shunchen entered his third year at Jujutsu High while failing to reproduce Gojo’s Hollow Technique and watching Suguru Geto’s spirit deteriorate. After warning Yu Haibara about his dangerous mission, Li met Yuki Tsukumo and learned her plan to end the creation of cursed spirits.

  • Li Shunchen failed repeatedly to fuse opposing cursed energy forces and decided to focus on protecting those around him rather than learning to replicate souls.
  • At the start of his third year, Li drew the Natural Perfection [R] card and met the year’s only first-year, Kiyotaka Ijichi.
  • Li observed Suguru Geto growing thinner and more withdrawn as swallowing cursed spirits weighed on him.
  • After a mission, Li warned Yu Haibara to retreat if his assignment felt dangerous, knowing Haibara was headed toward a deadly Grade 1 Land God.
  • Yuki Tsukumo arrived and asked what kind of woman they liked; Li told her, “I like you,” while Geto and Haibara reacted with surprise.
  • Yuki Tsukumo introduced herself as a Special Grade Sorcerer and explained that she wanted to prevent cursed spirits from appearing by eliminating cursed energy or teaching everyone to control it.

Ch. 44Then whether you're Special Grade or anything else, I will kill you

Yuki Tsukumo discussed ways to eliminate Cursed Spirits with Suguru Geto and Shunchen, prompting Geto to suggest killing non-sorcerers. Shunchen exposed the endless slaughter that proposal would require and ended by threatening to kill Yuki if she supported such a future.

  • Yuki Tsukumo described Toji Fushiguro as proof of the power of having no Cursed Energy, then proposed making all humanity into sorcerers to stop Cursed Spirits from appearing.
  • Suguru Geto suggested killing everyone who was not a sorcerer, and Yuki Tsukumo acknowledged that the plan could force humanity to evolve while warning that the resulting curses might destroy the world.
  • Suguru Geto admitted that he no longer knew whether he despised non-sorcerers or rejected that feeling, and Yuki Tsukumo told him those were possibilities he would have to choose between.
  • Shunchen rejected Geto's proposal, arguing that sorcerer parents could have non-sorcerer children who would also be killed, making the purge an endless slaughter of infants.
  • Yuki Tsukumo sensed Shunchen's killing intent and warned him about her Special Grade power, but Shunchen declared that he would kill her if she stood on the side of a world built on slaughtering children.

Ch. 45What a Mortal Believed In

Li Shunchen confronted Yuki Tsukumo over her ideals, then watched Suguru Geto crumble after learning that Tengen remained stable despite Riko Amanai’s death. Later, Li saved Kento Nanami’s arm after Nanami and Yu Haibara survived a misclassified Grade 1 curse, and he resolved to hold Jujutsu Society’s higher-ups accountable.

  • Li Shunchen told Yuki Tsukumo he would kill her if she pursued her plan, and she withdrew her threat to make the world a hell.
  • Yuki Tsukumo told Suguru Geto that Tengen was stable and suggested another Star Plasma Vessel had been available, leaving Geto devastated over Riko Amanai’s sacrifice.
  • Li Shunchen reattached Kento Nanami’s severed arm with Reverse Cursed Technique while Yu Haibara apologized for being too weak to protect him.
  • Kento Nanami explained that Li’s warning had prompted him to flee a supposed Grade 2 mission when its Land God revealed Grade 1 strength, saving both Nanami and Haibara.
  • Li Shunchen decided to have Masamichi Yaga demand an explanation from the higher-ups for the fatal intelligence error.

Ch. 46Sorcerers, Expendables, Monsters

Li Shunchen recognized the remote village mission as the place where Suguru Geto had massacred 112 villagers in a previous simulation, so he sent the assistant supervisor away and tried to guide Geto through his doubts about ordinary people. The village chief then revealed that villagers had locked two girls in a chained house and called them monsters, leaving Geto confronting the implications.

  • Masamichi Yaga told Li Shunchen that the higher-ups had disguised the original Grade 2 mission payment as relief money for Kento Nanami and Yu Haibara, and Shunchen saw how little they valued the injured sorcerers.
  • Two days later, Kento Nanami and Yu Haibara left for another mission, while Nanami appeared exhausted and disgusted with Jujutsu Society.
  • Li Shunchen received an urgent mission assigning him and Suguru Geto to investigate a remote village, which he remembered as the site of Geto's future massacre in a previous simulation.
  • Li Shunchen persuaded the assistant supervisor to leave the village and told Suguru Geto that ordinary people feared sorcerers as aberrations too.
  • The village chief demanded that Suguru Geto kill two supposed monsters locked in a chained wooden house, and Geto began to question who they really were.

Ch. 47Make some preparations

Shunchen stopped the village chief from opening the hut so Suguru Geto could prepare himself for the human cursed energy inside. Geto understood that two young sorcerers had been abused by the villagers, but after Shunchen warned him not to embrace his plan to kill non-sorcerers, Geto coldly ordered him to open the door.

  • The village chief led Shunchen to the hut where the villagers had imprisoned the supposed monsters, but Shunchen stopped him from unlocking it.
  • Shunchen asked Suguru Geto if he could sense the faint cursed energy of two people inside the hut.
  • Geto pieced together that the villagers had chained and abused two young Jujutsu Sorcerers, and he grew overwhelmed with rage.
  • Shunchen warned Geto not to use what lay behind the door to justify his plan to kill non-sorcerers.
  • Geto ignored the warning and ordered Shunchen to open the door, as the villagers remained unaware of the danger.

Ch. 48Would you still remain unmoved?! Li Shunchen!! Answer me!

Suguru Geto found two abused girls caged by the villagers and decided to kill the non-sorcerers, but Li Shunchen stopped his Cursed Spirit Manipulation and fought him. The chapter ended with Li revealing that he had mastered Reverse Cursed Technique as the fight continued.

  • Suguru Geto discovered two injured girls locked in a cage and learned the village chief accused them of causing the disappearances.
  • After the chief said the girls should have been killed as babies, Suguru Geto resolved to slaughter the villagers.
  • Li Shunchen used Nagi Daytime Prohibition to suppress Suguru Geto's Cursed Spirit Manipulation and argued that he must not take justice into his own hands.
  • Suguru Geto kicked Li Shunchen into a dead tree, but Li's injuries healed almost instantly.
  • Li Shunchen revealed that he had mastered Reverse Cursed Technique and charged at Suguru Geto again.

Ch. 49If only you were the one with special grade power...

Shunchen tried to stop Suguru Geto from turning against the villagers, but Geto killed the village chief and unleashed a massacre. Shunchen survived Geto’s Maximum Technique: Uzumaki with grave injuries, while Geto escaped with the twin girls and was designated for execution.

  • Shunchen pleaded with Suguru Geto to abandon his plan and promised to change the jujutsu world, but Geto rejected his appeal.
  • Suguru Geto revealed the Chain of a Thousand Miles and killed the village chief, prompting the villagers to flee in terror.
  • Shunchen attacked Geto with Asagirimaru, but Geto used Maximum Technique: Uzumaki; Shunchen’s copied Limitless failed, and the attack tore through his abdomen.
  • Suguru Geto released his cursed spirits, slaughtered the villagers, and rescued the twin girls while Shunchen lay critically wounded.
  • An assistant supervisor found Shunchen and brought him to Jujutsu High; a report confirmed 112 villagers had died, identified Geto as responsible, and designated him for execution.
  • Shoko Ieiri treated the comatose Shunchen in a Jujutsu High operating room and lamented that he and other self-righteous people needed saving themselves.

Ch. 50You... what the hell are you apologizing for?!

Li Shunchen resisted the abyss’s temptations and tried to save Suguru Geto, but could not stop him from sinking beneath the weight of his crimes. After Shunchen awoke in the hospital, Satoru Gojo and Masamichi Yaga told him Geto had killed 112 villagers and apparently his parents; Gojo angrily rejected Shunchen’s attempt to blame himself.

  • In a vision of the abyss, Shunchen refused to use Asagirimaru against Sato, Naoya Zenin, Toji Fushiguro, and the others who tried to drag him down.
  • Shunchen released Asagirimaru and grabbed Suguru Geto, but the villagers Geto had killed pulled them both toward the abyss, and Geto slipped from Shunchen’s grasp.
  • Shunchen awoke in the hospital as Masamichi Yaga told Satoru Gojo that Geto had injured Shunchen, killed 112 villagers, and apparently killed his parents.
  • Shunchen apologized for failing to stop Geto, and Satoru Gojo shouted that he was not responsible for failing to stop a Special Grade Sorcerer.
  • Masamichi Yaga pulled Gojo away from Shunchen and punched him for shouting at a seriously injured patient.
