Arc 3A Teacher’s Burden

Li Shunchen took Megumi Fushiguro under his care and fought the Zenin Clan to bring him home, then built a life teaching and helping other sorcerers. By 2017, Satoru Gojo asked Shunchen to meet Yuta Okkotsu after a curse tied to the boy injured four classmates.

  • Satoru Gojo confronted Suguru Geto but could not bring himself to kill him, while Li Shunchen struggled with guilt and abandoned an attempt to imitate Geto’s destructive path.
  • Satoru Gojo entrusted Megumi Fushiguro to Li Shunchen, who moved Megumi and Tsumiki to a safer home and began teaching Megumi about the Ten Shadows Technique.
  • After Naoya Zenin took Megumi to the Zenin estate, Li Shunchen fought the clan to rescue him, and Naobito Zenin later agreed to reconsider Megumi’s place in the clan after Li prepared him to lead.
  • Li Shunchen helped Masamichi Yaga stabilize Panda as a three-core cursed corpse, then graduated with Satoru Gojo and Shoko Ieiri while agreeing to trust Gojo’s plan to reform Jujutsu Society.
  • Li Shunchen helped Atsuya Kusakabe create a cursed corpse imitation of his dead nephew, and Kusakabe’s sister began recovering as she cared for the child during visits.
  • Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami left Jujutsu Society, while Li Shunchen kept Nanami’s Cleaver until Nanami returned to Jujutsu High in 2014.
  • In 2016, Maki Zenin asked Li Shunchen to train her, and he later evaluated Kinji Hakari and Kirara Hoshi as they joined Jujutsu High.
  • In 2017, Satoru Gojo told Li Shunchen about Yuta Okkotsu’s curse and asked him to meet the boy after it injured four classmates.
Chapters 51–75 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 51He Is the Biggest Obstacle

While recovering at Jujutsu High, Li Shunchen prepared a mission report to protect the Assistant Supervisor and others from blame as Suguru Geto’s plans became clear. After confronting Geto in Shinjuku, Satoru Gojo let him leave and returned to Jujutsu High grappling with the limits of his strength.

  • Li Shunchen wrote a detailed mission report from his hospital bed, while Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami visited him, shaken by his injuries and Suguru Geto’s betrayal.
  • Shoko Ieiri encountered Suguru Geto in Shinjuku, heard that he intended to create a world with only sorcerers, and contacted Satoru Gojo.
  • Satoru Gojo confronted Suguru Geto, who declared that Li Shunchen was the greatest obstacle to his plan and defended his killings as serving the Greater Good.
  • Satoru Gojo charged Hollow Purple but could not bring himself to kill Suguru Geto, who walked away.
  • Back at Jujutsu High, Satoru Gojo told Masamichi Yaga that his strength alone was not enough to save people who would not accept help, and he felt isolated from Li Shunchen and Suguru Geto.

Ch. 52Icarus

Li Shunchen experimented with replicating Suguru Geto’s Maximum: Uzumaki but stopped after realizing the cost would force him down a path he could never surpass Geto on. Still determined to oppose Jujutsu Society, he was dragged away by Satoru Gojo to collect an inheritance.

  • Li Shunchen sensed a faint spark of Maximum Technique while using Cursed Spirit Manipulation to combine two fly heads.
  • Li Shunchen abandoned the experiment because sustaining it would require him to sacrifice Phantom Parade’s versatility and imitate Suguru Geto’s destructive path.
  • Li Shunchen resolved to keep pursuing revenge against Jujutsu Society despite recognizing the gulf between himself and the strongest sorcerers.
  • Masamichi Yaga and Shoko Ieiri grew concerned as Li Shunchen continuously operated Cursed Spirit Manipulation and seemed to punish himself over Suguru Geto’s departure.
  • Satoru Gojo burst into Li Shunchen’s room, hauled him out, and said they were going to collect an important inheritance.

Ch. 53I might never be much of a father

Satoru Gojo brought Shunchen to meet Megumi Fushiguro and asked whether Megumi would join the Zenin Clan. After Shunchen warned that Tsumiki would suffer there, Gojo arranged for Megumi to live under Shunchen’s care, hoping to give Shunchen a reason to stop obsessing over Cursed Spirit Manipulation.

  • Satoru Gojo introduced Megumi Fushiguro as Toji Fushiguro’s son and explained that the Zenin Clan might want to claim him.
  • Megumi Fushiguro said he cared more about Tsumiki’s happiness than his own fate, and Shunchen warned that the Zenin Clan would make her life worse.
  • Satoru Gojo promised to cover Megumi’s expenses, then appointed Shunchen to care for and teach him while admitting he was too busy.
  • Shunchen understood that Gojo wanted to keep him from destroying himself through guilt and obsession, and he agreed to raise Megumi.
  • Shunchen promised Megumi that he would help him gain the strength to choose his own life.

Ch. 54Their father's friends

You and Satoru Gojo found Megumi Fushiguro and Tsumiki living in a cramped, neglected apartment and promised to take care of them. After Megumi agreed to trust you, you arranged a safer home and had Satoru cover the expenses, leaving Megumi relieved in his new surroundings.

  • You and Satoru Gojo entered Megumi Fushiguro and Tsumiki’s cramped but carefully kept home and reflected on Toji Fushiguro’s neglect of his children.
  • Tsumiki asked who you and Satoru were, and Megumi called you their father’s friends.
  • You told the children you would look after them, and Megumi decided they should trust you because they had few alternatives.
  • You arranged for Megumi and Tsumiki to move to a safer upscale area in Tokyo, keeping them in ordinary schools rather than sending them to Jujutsu High.
  • You made Satoru pay the moving costs and future expenses, then watched Megumi relax somewhat in his new home.

Ch. 55"Ten Shadows Technique"

Shunchen analyzed Megumi Fushiguro’s cursed energy and discovered that Megumi possessed the Ten Shadows Technique, then demonstrated its Divine Dogs. Gojo revealed the technique’s dangerous potential and the history behind the Gojo and Zenin clans, leaving him to reconsider their plans for Megumi.

  • Gojo took Megumi and Shunchen to a secluded riverside wasteland, where Shunchen raised a Curtain to conceal their examination.
  • Shunchen used Phantom Parade to analyze Megumi’s cursed energy and learned how the Ten Shadows Technique worked.
  • Shunchen summoned the Divine Dogs, and Megumi happily petted them as Gojo studied the technique with the Six Eyes.
  • Gojo explained that a past Gojo clan head with the Six Eyes and Limitless had fought a Ten Shadows user, and both had died.
  • Gojo called off their previous plans after confirming Megumi’s technique, then hurried him home for dinner.

Ch. 56The possibility of multiple cursed techniques

The narrator studied the Ten Shadows Technique, subjugated several shikigami, and discovered that the technique’s contracts persisted across Phantom Parade simulations. After Megumi Fushiguro’s inherited technique became known, the narrator found Zenin Clan men waiting for him outside school.

  • Satoru Gojo gave the narrator a Gojo Clan record explaining the Ten Shadows Technique, its shikigami, subjugation rituals, and inheritance rules.
  • The narrator subjugated Rabbit Escape, Nue, Great Serpent, Toad, Max Elephant, and Piercing Ox, but Nue was destroyed during the fight with Piercing Ox.
  • Nue’s traits passed to the Divine Dogs, transforming them into the winged, lightning-wreathed shikigami Qu.
  • The narrator discovered that shikigami subjugation persisted after Phantom Parade ended and that a summoned shikigami could continue its final command after the technique was switched off.
  • The narrator recognized that Ten Shadows consumed vast amounts of cursed energy and taught Megumi Fushiguro the insights gained through practice.
  • After Megumi Fushiguro’s Ten Shadows Technique became known to the Zenin Clan, the narrator found him surrounded by men in traditional kimono outside school.

Ch. 57An unexpected reunion

The narrator intervened when Naoya Zenin cornered young Megumi Fushiguro and insulted him over his weakness and Ten Shadows Technique. Recognizing the narrator as a former victim from a simulation, Naoya turned his contempt on them, and their confrontation began.

  • Naoya Zenin inspected Megumi Fushiguro, scorned his weakness, and resented that he had inherited the Ten Shadows Technique.
  • Naoya mocked Megumi for being sold to the Zenin Clan and warned him not to embarrass the clan.
  • The narrator struck Naoya's hand away and stood between him and Megumi.
  • Naoya recognized the narrator as a Grade 2 sorcerer known for copying cursed techniques and taunted them about their reputation.
  • Remembering how Naoya had used them as a human shield in a simulation, the narrator ordered him and his people to leave.
  • Naoya's smile vanished as he threatened the narrator for disrespecting him.

Ch. 58Making Proper Use of the Rules

Shunchen countered Naoya Zenin’s surprise attack, but Naoya used the Kukuru Unit to seize Megumi Fushiguro and escape in a car. After enduring the attendants’ blows without using jujutsu, Shunchen knocked one of them unconscious and faced the remaining two.

  • Naoya attacked Shunchen with Projection Sorcery, but Shunchen disrupted its frames with Cursed Technique Reversal and tripped him.
  • Naoya ordered the Kukuru Unit to seize Megumi, and its members grabbed the boy while blocking Shunchen.
  • Naoya took Megumi to his car and drove away as three Kukuru members beat Shunchen.
  • Shunchen endured the attacks, then struck the largest Kukuru member hard enough to send him flying unconscious.
  • Shunchen turned on the two remaining Kukuru members and told them they were next.

Ch. 59The Greatest Difference Between Humans and Beasts

After Naoya Zenin took Megumi, the protagonist rode with Mei Mei to the Zenin Clan, determined to rescue him alone and demonstrate strength without provoking a clan war. On the way, Mei Mei shared evidence linking a mysterious woman with stitches on her forehead to the Time Vessel Association, giving the protagonist a new lead in the search for the hidden mastermind.

  • The protagonist defeated the Zenin Clan branch-family thugs, called Mei Mei, and asked her to drive to the Zenin Clan to retrieve Megumi.
  • Mei Mei advised the protagonist to involve Satoru Gojo, but the protagonist refused, wanting to avoid escalating the rescue into a conflict between the Gojo and Zenin Clans.
  • The protagonist recalled the Zenin estate's layout and planned to infiltrate it, rescue Megumi, and make Naoya fear further harassment.
  • Mei Mei gave the protagonist interview notes about the Time Vessel Association, whose former leader had secretly obeyed an unidentified woman.
  • The protagonist noticed that witnesses independently described the woman as having obvious stitches on her forehead.

Ch. 60Poisonous envy

The infiltrator searched the Zenin estate for Naoya and Megumi, but Ogi Zenin caught them and learned they had come to rescue Toji’s son. When the infiltrator revealed a mutated shikigami using the Ten Shadows Technique, Ogi attacked in a jealous rage, leaving the fight at the moment of his flaming slash.

  • The infiltrator used Mei Mei’s crow surveillance and their own concealment to search Naoya’s residence, but found it empty.
  • Ogi Zenin ambushed the infiltrator with a sword slash, and the infiltrator said they had come to take their abducted student, Toji Zenin’s son, back unharmed.
  • Ogi recognized the implications of Megumi inheriting the Ten Shadows Technique and chose to attack the infiltrator rather than help them.
  • The infiltrator revealed a mutated shikigami called Qu, combining Divine Dog: White with the power of Nue.
  • Ogi flew into a rage at the apparent use of the Ten Shadows Technique by an outsider and unleashed his Brow-Burning Slash at the infiltrator and Qu.

Ch. 61Qu Fusion

The narrator defeated Ogi Zenin after White Qu’s destruction caused its power to merge into Black Qu and create Qu Fusion. Maki Zenin revealed where Naoya had taken a boy, sending the narrator toward the mountain while Qu Fusion drew the guards away; left beside her unconscious father, Maki wondered why the narrator had treated her with respect.

  • Ogi Zenin cleaved White Qu in two, but its power merged into Black Qu and formed the larger, lightning-clawed Qu Fusion.
  • Qu Fusion shattered Ogi’s sword and badly wounded him, leaving him unconscious as the estate’s defenses sounded alarms.
  • Maki Zenin watched the fight from hiding and heard Ogi blame her and Mai for his failures.
  • The narrator asked Maki where Naoya and a boy with a schoolbag had gone, and she pointed toward the mountain training grounds.
  • The narrator sent Qu Fusion toward the main gate to distract the guards, then headed for the mountain and thanked Maki before leaving.
  • Maki approached her injured father and wondered why the narrator had looked at her with equality and respect.

Ch. 62Are you... jealous?

Naoya Zenin tried to break Megumi Fushiguro’s confidence by tormenting his Divine Dogs and mocking his Ten Shadows Technique, but Megumi’s accusation that Naoya was jealous enraged him. Just as Naoya attacked, an unseen force stopped him, and Satoru Gojo’s voice revealed that he had intervened.

  • Naoya Zenin overwhelmed Megumi Fushiguro’s Divine Dog: White and Divine Dog: Black, and Megumi recalled them to keep them from being destroyed.
  • Naoya taunted Megumi about his weakness and his resemblance to Toji Zenin, revealing his resentment over Megumi’s inherited technique and the attention he received.
  • Megumi asked Naoya if he was jealous, making Naoya lose control and charge at him with Projection Sorcery.
  • An invisible force halted Naoya’s attack and erased his momentum just before he struck Megumi.
  • Satoru Gojo spoke from above, saying Naoya seemed dissatisfied with his student.

Ch. 63You are not him

The narrator rescued Megumi from Naoya and demonstrated the overwhelming power of the Ten Shadows Technique through Qu Fusion. Though Naoya was helpless before him, the narrator chose not to kill him, refusing to become like the man who had once abused him.

  • The narrator arrived at the Back Mountain training ground, suppressed Naoya’s Projection Sorcery, and comforted the exhausted Megumi.
  • Naoya cursed the narrator and tried to reactivate his technique, while the narrator confronted him for insulting the Ten Shadows Technique.
  • The narrator used Phantom Parade to summon Qu Fusion, which landed before Naoya and left him terrified and unable to move.
  • Remembering how Naoya had once used him as a human shield, the narrator considered ordering Qu Fusion to kill him but decided against a cheap slaughter.

Ch. 64Someone Had to Stay Behind

After finding Megumi Fushiguro, the exhausted narrator arranged for Mei Mei to take him to Satoru while they stayed behind to face the Zenin Clan’s elite. The Hei trapped Qu Fusion and restrained the narrator, but Megumi escaped by crow, and the narrator summoned Great Serpent to attack Ranta Zenin.

  • The narrator called Mei Mei and asked her to use Black Bird Manipulation to escort Megumi Fushiguro to Satoru while the narrator held off the Zenin Clan.
  • As the Hei approached, the narrator grabbed Naoya Zenin and told Megumi to leave with Mei Mei’s crows, promising to handle the danger.
  • Chojuro Zenin raised stone hands to trap Qu Fusion, and Jinichi Zenin battered the shikigami down with Meteor Punch before Chojuro sealed it in stone.
  • Ranta Zenin restrained the narrator with his cursed technique while calling for Naoya, but Mei Mei’s crows carried Megumi away from the battlefield.
  • The narrator resisted Ranta’s restraint, summoned Great Serpent, and sent it straight at him.

Ch. 65Chimera

You used the Great Serpent’s death to fuse its power with Qu Fusion, creating a Chimera that overwhelmed the Zenin Clan’s elite forces. Naobito Zenin defeated you after you ran out of cursed energy, and the chapter ended with Megumi Fushiguro arriving at the battlefield.

  • You let the Great Serpent die so its power could fuse with Qu Fusion and create the Chimera.
  • The Chimera swept away the Kukuru Unit, struck down Jinichi Zenin, knocked Changshoulang unconscious, and subdued Ranta.
  • You used Nagi Daytime Prohibition to counter Naobito Zenin’s Projection Sorcery, but he outmaneuvered you in close combat.
  • You stopped the Chimera from striking you, allowing Naobito to restore Projection Sorcery’s twenty-four-frame rule and freeze you.
  • Naobito kicked you through a tree and into a boulder, while the Chimera dissolved after your cursed energy was exhausted.
  • Naobito noticed Megumi Fushiguro arriving with two shikigami and wondered why Toji’s son was there.

Ch. 66Next time, for sure

Li Shunchen recovered after his fight with the Zenin Clan and learned that Naobito had let him and Megumi leave while the clan covered up the incident. He was promoted to Grade 1 with Satoru Gojo’s protection, then returned to the Zenin estate as an honored guest.

  • Li Shunchen woke in Mei Mei’s car beside the sleeping Megumi Fushiguro and healed his injuries with Reverse Cursed Technique.
  • Mei Mei told Li Shunchen that Naobito Zenin had released them after an unspoken understanding and asked him to bring good liquor if he visited again.
  • The Zenin Clan concealed the fight, and Jujutsu Headquarters promoted Li Shunchen to Grade 1 while Satoru Gojo helped stop the higher-ups from pursuing him.
  • Satoru Gojo teased Li Shunchen for facing the Zenin Clan alone, and Li promised to tell him next time.
  • A week later, Li Shunchen returned to the Zenin estate with Mei Mei’s arrangements and watched the guards greet him with fearful deference.

Ch. 67You Call Such Utterly Arrogant Behavior "Rational"?

Li Shunchen visited Naobito Zenin at the Zenin estate, where Naobito questioned whether his restraint during the violent assault had truly been rational. The chapter ended with Li Shunchen accepting and drinking the cup of liquor Naobito offered.

  • Ranta Zenin respectfully escorted Li Shunchen through the estate, where repairs were underway after the battle.
  • Ogi Zenin passed Li Shunchen with visible hatred but did not challenge him.
  • Naobito Zenin welcomed Li Shunchen and offered him a cup of liquor as both a courtesy and a test.
  • Li Shunchen declined the drink, saying he preferred to keep his thinking rational.
  • Naobito argued that Li Shunchen’s calculated violence and restraint during the assault were not rational, but showed he knew exactly what he was doing.
  • Li Shunchen accepted Naobito’s next cup and drank it in one gulp.

Ch. 68A distortion called normality

Li Shunchen explained to Naobito Zenin why he had rescued Megumi without involving Satoru Gojo and had stayed behind to accept responsibility for the damage. After testing Li Shunchen’s strength, Naobito agreed to reconsider Megumi’s return as clan head once his teacher had prepared him to lead the Zenin Clan.

  • Li Shunchen choked on the strong liquor, then told Naobito Zenin that Satoru Gojo had entrusted him with teaching Megumi Fushiguro.
  • Li Shunchen explained that involving Satoru would have led to a worse confrontation, and that he had stayed behind to take responsibility for the injuries and damage he caused.
  • Naobito Zenin recognized Li Shunchen’s unusually ordinary sense of responsibility and considered whether Megumi might have a better future with him than within the decaying clan.
  • Naobito Zenin drank heavily and launched a surprise attack using Projection Sorcery, but Li Shunchen countered it with Nagi Daytime Prohibition and Phantom Parade.
  • After confirming Li Shunchen’s power, Naobito Zenin said he would reconsider Megumi’s becoming clan head once Li Shunchen had prepared him to lead the Zenin Clan.

Ch. 69Was your brain broken from the moment you were born?

In his fourth year at Jujutsu High, Shunchen received a card that improved his ability to process multiple tasks and agreed to test Satoru Gojo’s newly mastered Domain Expansion, Unlimited Void. Shunchen emerged unaffected, and Gojo’s tests on Shoko Ieiri and Masamichi Yaga convinced him that Shunchen was the real monster.

  • Shunchen received Three Hearts, Two Minds, improving his multitasking efficiency while slightly reducing his concentration.
  • Satoru Gojo asked Shunchen to test Unlimited Void, and Shunchen agreed to help him and analyze the technique.
  • Satoru Gojo opened Unlimited Void on Shunchen, who remained calm and described the information overload while appearing completely unharmed.
  • Satoru Gojo tested a controlled version of Unlimited Void on Shoko Ieiri, who suffered nausea and vertigo for most of the day.
  • Satoru Gojo persuaded Masamichi Yaga to try the domain, and Yaga became severely ill, leading Gojo to conclude that Shunchen was the unusual one.

Ch. 70Teacher, Turn Yourself In

Shunchen discovered that Masamichi Yaga had created a panda-like cursed corpse whose two cores were destabilizing it, and he tried to save it by adding Great Sage’s core as a stabilizer. After Shunchen used Limitless to balance the three cores, the panda stopped moving, but it began breathing again just as they accepted the apparent failure.

  • Shunchen mistook Yaga’s panda-like creation for a real cub and urged his teacher to turn himself in before learning it was a cursed corpse.
  • Yaga explained that the cursed corpse’s two cores were rejecting each other, and Shunchen proposed using Great Sage’s core to stabilize them.
  • Yaga agreed to let Shunchen intervene, and Shunchen used Limitless to isolate the cores while connecting them into a three-core energy cycle.
  • The panda cursed corpse went still, and Shunchen and Yaga assumed the experiment had failed.
  • As Yaga moved to comfort Shunchen, the panda’s chest began to rise and fall, and one paw rubbed its eye patch.

Ch. 71The hand left unheld

Shunchen helped Masamichi Yaga protect Panda by presenting his creation as an uncontrollable experiment, earning Panda official recognition. At graduation, Satoru Gojo asked Shunchen to join him in changing Jujutsu Society by teaching the next generation, and Shunchen agreed to trust him.

  • Shunchen convinced Masamichi Yaga to claim Panda had resulted from Shunchen’s accidental experiment, then deceived the higher-ups during their investigation until they accepted Panda as an irreproducible mutation.
  • Panda received official recognition, and the outside world regarded Shunchen as his father, though Shunchen knew Masamichi Yaga was Panda’s true father.
  • Shunchen received the Corporate Slave [N] talent card and graduated with Satoru Gojo and Shoko Ieiri; their ceremony and group photo were marked by Suguru Geto’s absence.
  • Satoru Gojo stopped Shunchen from blaming himself for Geto’s departure, then asked what Shunchen planned to do after graduation.
  • Satoru Gojo revealed his plan to become a teacher and reform Jujutsu Society by raising strong, intelligent allies, and asked Shunchen to help him.
  • Shunchen did not take Satoru Gojo’s offered hand, but agreed to trust him.

Ch. 72A pieced-together imitation

After Atsuya Kusakabe begged Shunchen to create a cursed corpse resembling his dead nephew Xiaowu to help his suicidal sister keep living, Shunchen and Masamichi Yaga agreed and made the imitation. Xiaowu’s reunion with his mother gave her a reason to recover, and Kusakabe later joined Tokyo Jujutsu High.

  • Atsuya Kusakabe begged Shunchen to recreate his dead nephew Xiaowu, explaining that his sister had attempted suicide twice since the child’s death.
  • Shunchen took Kusakabe to Masamichi Yaga, who verified the sister’s condition and made Kusakabe swear to keep the cursed corpse technique secret.
  • Kusakabe agreed that the result would only be an imitation, and Masamichi Yaga taught Shunchen to build Xiaowu as a cursed corpse requiring regular outside cursed energy.
  • After a week of work, Shunchen completed Xiaowu, whose familiar mannerisms and words stirred Kusakabe’s sister from her despair and prompted her to embrace him.
  • Masamichi Yaga limited the visits so Xiaowu could not live with Kusakabe’s sister, who nevertheless began taking care of herself so she could see him again.
  • A month later, Kusakabe’s sister returned looking healthier, and Kusakabe applied to join Tokyo Jujutsu High as a teacher or resident sorcerer.

Ch. 73Departure and return

Shunchen supported Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami when they left Jujutsu Society, then kept Nanami’s Cleaver until Nanami returned in 2014. As the years passed, Shunchen trained students and developed his abilities, and in 2016 Masamichi Yaga told him someone from the Zenin Clan was asking for him.

  • Yu Haibara and Kento Nanami submitted applications to leave Jujutsu Society, explaining their fear and disillusionment with the sorcerer world.
  • Satoru Gojo tried to persuade them to stay, but Shunchen supported their decision to leave.
  • Nanami gave Shunchen his Cleaver to keep until he was ready to return, and Shunchen promised to safeguard it.
  • After Nanami and Haibara left, Shunchen trained students and assistant supervisors while new system draws granted him practical abilities over the following years.
  • In 2014, Nanami returned to Jujutsu High, and Shunchen handed back the Cleaver he had carefully maintained.
  • In 2016, Masamichi Yaga told Shunchen that someone from the Zenin Clan was asking for him.

Ch. 74Modern Cursed Techniques

Li Shunchen agreed to let Maki Zenin stay at Jujutsu High and train, though the higher-ups and the Zenin Clan kept her off the official student roster. He evaluated new students Kinji Hakari and Kirara Hoshi, whose modern cursed techniques provoked the elders, and began wondering what domain expansion Phantom Parade might have.

  • Li Shunchen recognized Maki Zenin and heard her ask him to teach her how to become stronger.
  • Li Shunchen warned Maki that his instruction might not substantially improve her combat ability, but she insisted on staying at Jujutsu High to learn.
  • Masamichi Yaga let Maki study at Jujutsu High, but opposition from the higher-ups and the Zenin Clan kept her off the official roster.
  • Kinji Hakari and Kirara Hoshi enrolled as official students, and Li Shunchen evaluated their cursed techniques, Pachinko Manifestation and Love Rendezvous.
  • Satoru Gojo rebuffed the higher-ups' objections to the students' techniques, and Li Shunchen later learned Hakari could use the domain expansion Idle Death Gamble.
  • Li Shunchen compared Idle Death Gamble with Unlimited Void and wondered what kind of domain expansion Phantom Parade might have.

Ch. 75Special grade, special treatment

Shunchen welcomed Maki Zenin, Panda, and Toge Inumaki as Jujutsu High first-years and continued training them. When Satoru Gojo proposed enrolling Special Grade Yuta Okkotsu, Shunchen condemned the harm Okkotsu had caused, and Gojo invited him to see the boy for himself.

  • Kinji Hakari and Kirara Hoshi advanced to their second year as the calendar turned to 2017.
  • Shunchen helped Maki Zenin begin training with Cursed Tool glasses, and Panda and Toge Inumaki joined Jujutsu High as first-years.
  • Satoru Gojo asked Shunchen and Masamichi Yaga about Yuta Okkotsu, whose curse had severely injured four classmates.
  • Shunchen challenged Gojo’s description of the injuries as merely serious and objected to excusing Okkotsu because the curse was outside his control.
  • Gojo said he intended to enroll Okkotsu so he could control his power or break the curse, then asked Shunchen to come see him firsthand.
