Arc 12The Fall of King's Landing
Gu Li uncovered and contained Cersei's wildfire, then seized King's Landing with ice wolves and Bingling while searching for Tommen and confronting Varys. The arc ended with Dorne weighing its choices, the Crone taking over the High Sparrow, and Gu Li entering Varys's dream to extract information.
- Robert Arryn died after drinking poisoned tea, and Margaery ordered Quentyn Martell and the dwarf jester placed under guard when evidence implicated them both.
- Tycho Nestoris offered Aegon VI loans and a dragon egg in exchange for control of Westerlands gold mines, while Gu Li rejected Tyrion's proposed contract and demanded Jaime's loyalty.
- Gu Li and Tyrion discovered Cersei's wildfire orders beneath the Alchemists' Guild, contained an explosion, and moved more than ten thousand jars beneath the Great Sept of Baelor.
- Margaery persuaded the Vale lords to capture Duskendale and remain there, while Jaime failed to persuade Cersei to surrender and Tommen disappeared.
- Gu Li led ice wolves into the Red Keep, captured Cersei, and learned that Robert Strong was the reanimated Gregor Clegane, whom Sandor killed and burned.
- Bingling burned hundreds of Gold Cloaks, Jaime secured the rest's surrender, and Gu Li confined Cersei to the Maidenvault as Qyburn escaped and the northern army captured Rosby.
- Melisandre returned with Varys and an impostor posing as Tommen, and Varys revealed that the real Tommen had gone west to meet Ser Kevan Lannister.
- Arianne Martell and Tyene Sand proposed an alliance with the North, but Gu Li rejected their marriage proposals and demanded proof of Dorne's loyalty.
- Gu Li ordered a search for the Sparrows' leader as the Crone took control of the High Sparrow, while Tyene decided to deliver Dorne's secret letter to the King in the North.
- Gu Li refused Varys's bargain for information, knocked him unconscious, and entered a dream where Varys woke in a mass grave.
