Background / History

Qian Renxue is the daughter of former Spirit Hall Pope Qian Xunji and current Pope Bibi Dong. Her grandfather, Qian Daoliu, raised her to regard herself as the Angel God's successor and an embodiment of sacred justice. Throughout her childhood, she sought an explanation for her mother's disgust and hostility, but Qian Daoliu and the other elders avoided answering her questions 34 35 36.

She assumed the identity of Heaven Dou crown prince Xue Qinghe as part of an undercover operation. The assignment also let her avoid returning to Spirit Hall and confronting her relationship with Bibi Dong. By her appearance at the auction, she considered the operation more than halfway successful, although Qian Daoliu was urging her to return and begin the Angel God Trials 32.

Personality

Qian Renxue initially treats the Six-Winged Angel's judgment of evil as sufficient grounds for intervention. Yang Xingchen's undead presence convinces her that he must be a dangerous heretic; seeing his Bone Dragon reinforces her assumption that his strength comes from killing and desecrating corpses 32 34.

Despite her confidence, she is deeply vulnerable to questions about her family. She remains skeptical while negotiating with Yang Xingchen, refusing to accept unverifiable information as an equal contribution to an alliance. The possibility of losing Qian Daoliu ultimately outweighs her distrust 35.

She protects her subordinates personally, intercepting an attack aimed at Porcupinefish Douluo and later bowing to Dugu Bo in gratitude for sparing Snake Lance Douluo. Her understanding of justice also changes: rather than accepting it as an inherited title, she resolves to help people who suffer 34 36 37.

Auction and Ambush

At an auction, Qian Renxue competes with Yang Xingchen for Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue, withdrawing after his bid reaches 220,000 Gold Soul Coins to preserve funds for the Soul Bone. After sensing his evil presence, she orders Snake Lance Douluo to follow him and Dugu Bo 32.

Her plan is to have Snake Lance draw Dugu Bo away while she eliminates Yang Xingchen with Porcupinefish Douluo nearby. Yang Xingchen anticipates the ambush. He counters her sacred flames with ice, uses illusions to misdirect her companion, and disables Porcupinefish with a soul attack. Qian Renxue is injured and trapped inside an array of ice mirrors 33 34.

Family Revelations and the Angel God Trials

Yang Xingchen breaks the stalemate by revealing that he knows her identity and the reasons behind Bibi Dong's hatred. Qian Renxue initially resists his offer of cooperation, but agrees after he warns that opening the Angel Temple for her Ninth Trial requires Qian Daoliu's sacrifice. He also describes the subsequent Seven Emotions Trial 35.

Learning the circumstances of her conception drives her into self-loathing. Yang Xingchen argues that she is not responsible for her parents' actions and should use her talent to improve other people's lives. She accepts that purpose, prompting the Angel God statue to send the trials directly to her without requiring her return to the Worship Hall 36.

Yang Xingchen then explains Bibi Dong's killing of Qian Xunji and warns that the Rakshasa God Trials could distort her mind until she seeks revenge on the entire world 36.

Cooperation with Yang Xingchen

Qian Renxue and Yang Xingchen establish a covert communication route through Heaven Dou Royal Academy. She grants him a Worship Hall protection token and agrees to obtain the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud from the imperial treasury, although she recognizes the difficulty of stealing a national treasure unnoticed. He claims he needs it to begin his God Trials and does not disclose its true purpose to her 37.

Before departing, she examines Snake Lance Douluo, awakens him, and orders him to carry the unconscious Porcupinefish Douluo back. Two days later, Yang Xingchen receives the academy admission letter she arranged 37 38.
