Arc 9The Hokage Clan’s Rise

Lynn built the Hokage Clan into a major power through the Waaagh GP, battlefield victories, and alliances with Sith. The arc left Sith’s coalition preparing to confront Tyranids secretly deployed by Rena while Lynn judged it still too weak to challenge the Deathskulls Clan.

  • Toothy refused Awu’s demand to return Awen’s territory and wealth, and Daidai’s purple-clad Orks killed Awu and routed its forces.
  • Lynn and Toothy seized the ranch, made Toothy chief, and expanded the Hokage Clan while Lynn established the Waaagh GP to attract Orks and build influence.
  • Luna’s fleet attacked Carl II, but Chandler’s mecha forced her to retreat, and Lynn began exploiting the clans’ rivalries instead of attempting a direct assault.
  • At the Elf Gork Rally, Sasuke won for the Hokage Clan despite sabotage and attacks by rival racers, and Lynn used the victory to replace the Evil Sunz in frontline command and build an assault-boat force.
  • Toothy led Hokage assault boats in a raid on Imperial supply frigates, helping drive back the Imperial Fleet and increasing the clan’s prestige.
  • Lynn arranged for Toothy to win Sith’s trust, then recruited the Blood Axe and Evil Sunz Clans into Sith’s camp through a campaign against the Imperium and a race followed by a night attack.
  • Lynn refused Rena’s offer to unleash the entire Tyranid swarm, but later ordered small-scale raids, and Rena sent Bio-ships to seed Carl II with Tyranids.
  • Toothy presented Sith with a plan for the Hokage, Blood Axe, and Evil Sunz Clans to clear the Tyranids and intercept incoming spores.
Chapters 201–225 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 201Lynn's Fellow Countrymen (Part Two)

Toothy defended its territory and wealth against Awu’s superior force, but its followers were overwhelmed and it was nearly killed. Daidai and a horde of purple-clad Ork Boyz arrived, slaughtered Awu’s gang, and killed Awu despite Toothy’s order to keep it alive.

  • Awu demanded that Toothy return the territory, teeth, and wealth left by Awen, but Toothy refused.
  • Awu ordered more than two hundred thugs to attack, and Toothy charged forward with its hand cannon while promising ten teeth for every kill.
  • Toothy killed many Gretchin but ran out of ammunition and strength as its followers fell or fled.
  • Purple-clad Ork Boyz led by Daidai charged in, broke through Awu’s forces, and began slaughtering them.
  • Awu was knocked down and pinned beneath Daidai’s foot, and Daidai killed it before Toothy’s order to keep it alive could be obeyed.

Ch. 202Night of Tragedy (Part One)

Toothy survived Awu’s attack with help from Doudou’s Orks, while Lynn realized the ranch already believed Toothy had Ork Boyz backing it. Lynn decided to stop hiding and prepared a new force, leaving more than a hundred newly awakened Orks ready to follow him.

  • Doudou’s Orks killed or drove off Awu’s thugs, and Toothy realized Seven-Smasha had sent them to protect it.
  • Toothy waited beside the sleeping Lynn until he woke, then recounted the attack and worried that the ranch would discover the Orks.
  • Lynn found that his Orks’ traits had advanced far enough to pass as mutated Ork Boyz and said it was time for the ranch to have a new owner.
  • Lynn ordered Toothy’s underlings to make more than a hundred purple outfits, then went to his spawn point.
  • Rena awakened a second batch of more than a hundred Orks whose thoughts already resembled those of ordinary Ork Boyz.

Ch. 203Night of Tragedy (Part Two)

Lynn established the Hokage Clan with more than a hundred and thirty Ork Boyz and led them in a night of assassinations across the ranch. At dawn, overseer Lao Cantui gathered his fifty armed Orks, only for Lynn to enter his stronghold in blood-soaked purple attire.

  • Lynn dressed the Ork Boyz in purple ninja outfits, gave them iron forehead protectors bearing the Hokage Clan symbol, and raised the clan’s flag.
  • Xiaobudian, fearing the growing Ork force, was killed by Lynn and the Orks when they attacked his stronghold at midnight.
  • Lynn spotted a neighboring gang boss trying to disguise himself as an ordinary Gretchin and killed him as he fled.
  • Lynn and more than a hundred Ork Boyz slaughtered over a hundred gang bosses across the ranch in one night.
  • Lao Cantui learned of the uprising, assembled his fifty armed Ork Boyz, and heard Lynn speak before the blood-soaked Lynn entered his stronghold.

Ch. 204A transfer of power

After killing Lao Cantui, Lynn appointed Toothy chief of the Hokage Clan and gained his agreement by telling him the story of Little Rat, a legendary Gretchin. Toothy consolidated control of the ranch, while Lynn raised the clan’s numbers to just over a thousand Ork Boyz.

  • Lynn killed Lao Cantui, and the ranch’s Orks recognized that power had passed to Toothy and the Hokage Clan.
  • Lynn asked Toothy to become chief and inspired him with the story of Little Rat, a Gretchin who became the King of the Mountains.
  • Toothy accepted the position on the condition that Lynn serve as deputy chief and handle major matters such as fighting and taking territory.
  • Toothy’s Orks dealt with dissent across the ranch, killing the disobedient, absorbing wavering Orks, and driving back those who tried to flee.
  • Lynn had Rena awaken several hundred more Ork Boyz, bringing the Hokage Clan’s strength to just over a thousand.

Ch. 205Speed and passion (Part one)

Lynn and Toothy built up their influence on the Squig ranch and prepared to join the fighting on Carl II. After seeing two Squigs race and collide, Lynn came up with the idea of organizing a Squig racing tournament.

  • Lynn and Toothy grew more Orky under the Waaagh! Field as their followers recognized them as an Ork and a boss.
  • Toothy convinced the Nob collecting Squig meat to accept its rule of the ranch by displaying its purple-clad forces and paying it ten crates of teef.
  • Toothy assembled three hundred sets of Ork equipment, then paid another Nob to assign five hundred Ork Boyz to outer shipyard guard duty.
  • Lynn sent Doudou with the five hundred Ork Boyz to gather information while he stayed at the ranch, hoping to build a reputation through fighting.
  • Lynn watched two spicy-hot Squigs race after a Gretchin and fight, then decided to organize a Squig racing tournament.

Ch. 206Fast and Furious (Part Two)

Lynn launched a Squig race at Hokage Ranch, but the contest quickly became a brutal brawl through dangerous obstacles. As racers fought and struggled through the mud, a Gretchin found a rocket launcher, prompting Toothy to realize the race involved items too.

  • Lynn persuaded Toothy to try a Squig race and built a track in the ranch’s low-yield pens.
  • Lynn started the first Waaaagh GP, with ten Orks and Gretchin racing Squigs for a prize of ten teeth.
  • A Bomb Squig surged into the lead, but Lynn struck a rival with a club and triggered the racers to attack one another.
  • Lynn used his Muscle Squig’s strength to shove opponents aside as the racers fought through a muddy bog full of Swamp Squigs.
  • The Bomb Squig lost momentum, its rider was knocked into the mud, and a Gretchin found a rocket launcher in the bog.
  • Toothy saw the Gretchin retrieve the launcher and exclaimed that the race was an item race too.

Ch. 207Speed and Passion (Part Two)

Lynn’s Waaagh GP became a sensation, drawing crowds and transforming much of Hokage Ranch into a racecourse. As the big lads arrived to see the expanded event, a new race began, with Naruto leading until Gretchin Johnny rolled after him inside a giant snowball.

  • Lynn caught a Gretchin’s rocket with wire mesh and flung it at an Ork Boy, while the first Waaagh GP continued through the desert section.
  • An Ork Boy named Naruto used a rocket booster to overtake Lynn and win the race, and Lynn saw that the event had attracted a huge crowd.
  • Toothy pledged its support to Lynn, and over the next few days they converted most of the ranch into varied race sections.
  • Big lads visiting several nearly empty Squig ranches learned that the Gretchin had gone to Hokage Ranch for the Waaagh GP and went to investigate.
  • At a later race on the icy track, Naruto took an early lead, but Gretchin Johnny used a saved bullet shield to roll up a giant snowball and chase him.

Ch. 208Elf Gawk (Part One)

Johnny won the Waaaagh GP race after using a hidden rocket booster, while Naruto came second. Lynn used the race’s success to recruit rival Ork bosses as promoters and allies, setting up Waaagh GP to expand across Carl II.

  • Johnny used his hidden rocket booster to melt his snowball and overtake Naruto, winning the race as the crowd celebrated.
  • Naruto watched the spectators fight over the result and their lost bets while Duya arrived and demanded to enter a future race for the ten-thousand-teef prize.
  • Jinchi calculated how much money Waaagh GP could earn and led the big lads to seek a stake in the event.
  • Lynn offered the bosses a share of future earnings in exchange for spreading word of Waaagh GP, asking them to protect Hokage Clan fighters on the battlefield.
  • The bosses agreed to Lynn’s terms and took their underlings out to promote Waaagh GP across Carl II.

Ch. 209Elf Gawk (II)

Lynn and Toothy turned Squig racing into a planet-wide spectacle on Carl II, weakening the Orks’ defenses. Luna launched an assault, but Chandler’s heavily mechanized counterattack drove her forces back and left her furious.

  • Lynn and Toothy bought nearby ranches, built a 500-kilometer racetrack, and organized the Elf Gawk rally as Orks flocked to the races.
  • Luna returned to Carl II, discovered that Lynn had not attacked, and ordered the Adeptus Mechanicus fleet to bombard the Ork defenses and advance.
  • Luna’s forces destroyed a crowded race station before pressing toward the core.
  • Chandler emerged in a powerful mecha and devastated Luna’s ground forces, forcing her to retreat to the Rule of Discipline.
  • Chandler angrily confronted Sith, who blamed the failed defense on insufficient authority and the Orks’ obsession with Waaagh GP.

Ch. 210Elf Gawk (III)

Chandler allowed the Elf Gork Rally to proceed and put Sith in charge of securing Carl II while Lynn recognized that Ork ambition and infighting could be the key to breaking the station. The massive rally began with racers preparing to tackle a deadly 512-kilometer course.

  • Chandler accepted the tribute teeth, allowed frontline Boyz to watch the race in turns, and handed Sith most of the command authority over Carl II.
  • Lynn concluded that a direct assault on Carl II would fail and that the Orks’ ambition, suspicion, and infighting offered a better opportunity.
  • The Elf Gork Rally drew tens of millions of Orks to a course linking more than a dozen stations, with clan-backed and independent racers assembling at the start.
  • Lynn reviewed the 512-kilometer route, which included hazardous stages, branching paths, and no restrictions on sabotage between racers.

Ch. 211Elf Gawk (IV)

Lynn backed Naruto and Sasuke as the Hokage Clan’s best chance to win the Elf Gawk, relying on their course preparation and Rena’s specialized Squigs. After the race began, the Twin Stars reached the leading pack but were surrounded by Bad Moons racers, and Sasuke called for a risky shortcut.

  • Lynn placed his hopes on Naruto and Sasuke, who had practiced the course and each received ten specialized Squigs from Rena.
  • Toothy started the race, and more than a hundred racers charged from the line.
  • Racers attacked one another within the first kilometer as Naruto and Sasuke held their planned route and joined the leading pack.
  • Racers from the major clans converged on the Hokage Twin Stars, and five armored Cave Squigs from the Bad Moons Clan surrounded them.
  • A Bad Moons racer fired a barrage at Naruto and Sasuke, and Sasuke ordered them to turn left toward shortcut three, the gravity overload stage.

Ch. 212Elf Gawk (V)

Naruto and Sasuke used the fivefold-gravity section to pull ahead, but the Deathskulls hit them with pressure rays that magnified their weight. Sasuke reversed the gravity with a section-exclusive item and rocketed forward, leaving the outcome of the race unresolved.

  • Naruto and Sasuke entered the Gravity Overload Race Section, where fivefold gravity slowed the Bad Moons racers but barely hindered their genetically enhanced Squigs.
  • The Evil Sunz and Deathskulls caught up; Naruto destroyed the Evil Sunz' self-destructing Squigs while the Deathskulls used antigravity devices to keep pace.
  • The Deathskulls struck Kurama with pressure rays, and Sasuke worked out that the rays increased their targets' weight for one minute.
  • Sasuke deliberately let a pressure ray hit him and Chidori, then activated a gravity reverser that turned the crushing force into extreme lightness.
  • Chidori surged forward at more than ten times his speed as Sasuke raced ahead.

Ch. 213Elf Gawk (VI)

Sasuke took the lead after the gravity overload section, but arrived at the first supply point to find the Hokage Clan’s logistics crew and replacement Squigs slaughtered. He and Lynn identified the Blood Axe Clan as the attackers, leaving the race’s planned lead in jeopardy.

  • Sasuke surged ahead of the other racers after escaping the gravity overload section, while Naruto fell back after the Deathskulls Clan abandoned their pressure rays.
  • Lynn confirmed that the replacement Squigs and logistics crew were ready at the first supply point as Sasuke approached it.
  • Sasuke found the supply point’s Squigs and Hokage boyz dead, dodged a sniper shot, and killed the sniper with a return shot.
  • Lynn ordered the remaining supply points placed on maximum alert, but learned the attackers had destroyed the surveillance equipment and escaped by rocket pack.
  • Sasuke examined the sniper’s body and identified the Blood Axe Clan, which Lynn also suspected had carried out the attack.

Ch. 214Elf Gawk (VII)

Lynn ordered the Hokage Ninja Boyz to retaliate against the Blood Axe racers, while the Blood Axe Nob revealed the sabotage was funded by rival clans and ordered another attack. On the track, Sasuke fell to eleventh place and Naruto was boxed in, but the two reached the second supply point together, leaving their comeback possible.

  • Lynn ordered the five Hokage Ninja Boyz to kill every Blood Axe racer on the track, and they eliminated seven before discovering three were missing.
  • The Blood Axe Nob revealed that the three missing Kommando Boyz had used Squigs and rocket packs to sabotage the Hokage Clan's supplies, and that rival clans had paid for the attack.
  • The Blood Axe Nob ordered his Kommando Boyz to target the next Hokage supply point for an additional two hundred thousand teef.
  • Chidori weakened from the long race, and Goru and Skog overtook Sasuke, who fell to eleventh place.
  • Naruto broke through the racers surrounding him and joined Sasuke at the second supply point.

Ch. 215Elf Gawk (VIII)

Naruto and Sasuke risked a flight through the mushroom minefield to overtake the racers, but enemy fire damaged Naruto’s Squig and forced him to sacrifice himself so Sasuke could escape. Sasuke completed the rally and won first place for the Hokage Clan.

  • Naruto and Sasuke rode their wyvern Squigs through the mushroom minefield, used blastproof boots to launch themselves skyward, and glided past the ground racers.
  • The racers opened fire on them, and a bolt round tore a hole in Naruto’s Squig’s wing.
  • Naruto gave Sasuke the stealth field generator and stayed visible to draw the gunfire while Sasuke vanished and escaped.
  • Naruto dove at the racers below, fighting as gunfire and explosions engulfed him and his Squig.
  • Sasuke resumed the race, evaded the remaining hazards, and crossed the finish line first as the Orks celebrated the Hokage Clan’s victory.

Ch. 216Staging the Whole Show (Part One)

After the Elf Gork victory, Lynn used the Hokage Clan’s new prestige and wealth to take over Carl II’s mobile and reconnaissance forces and build five hundred elite assault boats. The Imperium’s fleet launched an attack just as the Hokage boyz finished testing their new vessels.

  • The Hokage Clan’s Elf Gork championship brought offers of trade, competition, and alliance, but Lynn refused the Snakebites to protect the clan’s classified Squig technology.
  • Lynn and Toothy used the clan’s reputation and teef to replace the Evil Sunz Clan in command of Carl II’s frontline mobile and reconnaissance forces.
  • Lynn hired Kazik the Welder and more than a hundred Mekboy assistants to build five hundred top-spec assault boats for the Hokage Clan.
  • The Hokage Clan equipped the boats with weapons and technology from several clans, painted them purple, and prepared to patrol the system’s edge.
  • The established clans mocked the Hokage Clan’s new force, but the Imperium fleet attacked on the third day after the boyz had learned their boats’ capabilities.

Ch. 217A Self-Staged Show (Part Two)

The Hokage Clan’s ambush on the Imperial Fleet’s supply line forced the attackers to retreat and won the clan prestige across Carl II. Luna tried to mock Lynn about the failed assault, but Rena answered her call with contempt and hung up.

  • The Imperial Fleet exploited the Orks’ attention on the Waaagh GP race to attack Carl II’s defenses and destroy ports, turrets, salvage docks, and Squig ranches.
  • Sith sensed the attack and prepared to intervene, but Toothy led five hundred Hokage assault boats in a surprise raid on the Imperial Fleet’s supply frigates.
  • Hokage Boyz boarded the Imperial ships and crippled three frigates, cutting off supplies to the Imperial landing forces.
  • The Imperial commander ordered a retreat as Ork reinforcements counterattacked, and the Hokage Clan gained prestige after escorting a wrecked frigate back to Carl II.
  • Luna called Lynn to gloat, but Rena answered, called Luna childish, and hung up, leaving Luna furious.

Ch. 218Staging it himself (part two)

Lynn challenged Carl II’s clan bosses to confront the looming human fleet and raised the question of whether the Orks would follow Ragnar or Chandler in a great waaagh. Sith’s psychic threat ended the war council in silence, while Lynn concluded that his question had exposed Sith’s fears about Chandler’s growing power.

  • The major clans excluded the Blood Axe Clan from the Supreme War Council while it faced a siege over accusations that it had betrayed the Orks to the humans.
  • The clan bosses spent most of the meeting arguing over petty disputes and dismissing the Imperial Fleet as no threat.
  • Lynn asked what the bosses thought of the human fleet, and they boasted that Chandler’s future mech would enable a great waaagh.
  • Lynn asked whether the Orks would follow Ragnar or Chandler, prompting Sith to unleash psychic pressure on him without attacking.
  • Toothy rebuked Lynn after the meeting, but Lynn decided Sith’s anger showed that Chandler’s growing strength had stirred real doubts.

Ch. 219When the Snipe and the Clam Fight

Lynn used his intelligence network to study Sith and identify the Psyker’s lack of allies and growing anxiety as a way to drive him into conflict with Chandler. He planned to exploit Sith’s fear that Chandler’s new Mecha Cache would leave him unable to stop a rebellion on Carl II.

  • The Hokage Clan’s camp grew into a powerful stronghold after Elf Gawk’s championship and the Imperial Fleet’s defeat, but Lynn focused on taking control of Carl II.
  • Lynn concluded that he needed to eliminate Sith and Chandler at the same time to prevent the Ork clans from uniting against him.
  • Lynn’s trained jonin infiltrated camps and outposts to gather reports about Sith’s power, habits, and role as Ragnar’s military overseer.
  • Lynn’s Psychic Power Boy informants revealed Sith’s origins, his loyalty to Ragnar, and his lack of a political faction on Carl II.
  • Lynn recognized that Sith feared Chandler’s Mecha Cache and the possibility that the clans would side with Chandler, and he decided to use that anxiety to lure Sith into a trap.

Ch. 220Yaduoduo's Self-Exposure

Toothy revealed that he understood Lynn’s plan to provoke a civil war on Carl II, but pledged to support him out of gratitude. Lynn sent him to gain Sith’s trust, and Toothy began by warning Sith that Chandler’s return could threaten Ragnar’s power.

  • Toothy confronted Lynn with his suspicion that Lynn intended to split Carl II by driving Ragnar and Chandler into conflict, then promised to help him unconditionally.
  • Toothy explained that Lynn had given him dignity and power, and Lynn decided to trust him with the plan to approach Sith.
  • Lynn asked Toothy to meet Sith as leader of the Hokage Clan and win his trust because Lynn feared Sith would detect his impurity.
  • Three days later, Toothy waited to see Sith in a storeroom in Carl II’s core district.
  • Toothy warned Sith that Chandler’s emergence from seclusion after deciphering the Mecha Cache could shake Ragnar’s hold on power.

Ch. 221Praised to Ruin (Part One)

Lynn began expanding the Hokage Clan’s influence by winning Sith’s acceptance and then approaching the weakened Blood Axe Clan with an offer of protection in exchange for submission. The chapter ended as Lynn presented Sanyan with two choices: join the Hokage Clan or be wiped out.

  • Toothy warned Sith that Chandler could draw Carl II’s Orks away from Ragnar by leading a greater waaagh, then offered the Hokage Clan’s loyalty and resources to help Sith monitor Chandler.
  • Sith recognized Toothy’s shared outsider status and accepted the Hokage Clan’s allegiance.
  • Two days later, Lynn and Toothy led a supply convoy to the Blood Axe Clan’s survivors in Carl II’s radioactive scrap wastes.
  • Lynn offered Sanyan, the Blood Axe Clan’s new boss, the choice of submitting to Sith and receiving aid, territory, revenge, and 5% of Waaagh GP’s monthly dividends, or being killed.

Ch. 222Killing with Praise (II)

Lynn secured the Blood Axe Clan for Sith, then helped Sith coordinate the defense of Carl II against the Imperial fleets led by Lynn and Luna. The battle began with the Ork forces pinning down the enemy while Hokage and Blood Axe ships maneuvered for attacks on the flanks.

  • Lynn offered the Blood Axe Clan territory, strength, revenge, and a share of Waaagh GP's profits, and the clan pledged itself to Boss Sith.
  • Carter sent a reinforcement fleet of twenty frigates to Carl II, while Luna launched a surprise attack alongside Lynn's operation.
  • Toothy presented Lynn's battle plan, and Sith forced the major clan Nobs to follow his orders.
  • Sith used his psychic powers and updates from Lynn to track the Imperial Fleet and direct the Ork forces.
  • The Ork fleets pinned down the Imperial Fleet as Hokage assault boats attacked the rear and others joined the Blood Axe fleet to circle toward a weaker flank.

Ch. 223Killing with praise (III)

Lynn used a surprise attack to break the Imperium supply fleet’s offensive, then expanded Sith’s camp by defeating and subduing the Evil Sunz Clan. Sith’s forces became a major power on Carl II, while the other clans accepted their growth in the absence of Chandler.

  • The Blood Axe Clan and Hokage assault boats attacked the Imperium supply convoy, crippling its logistics and communications and forcing Lynn and Luna’s fleets to withdraw.
  • The Orks of Carl II began to regard Sith as a dependable Warboss, and Lynn moved to recruit the Evil Sunz Clan.
  • Toothy provoked the Evil Sunz into a Waaagh GP race, where Sasuke beat Gak by three minutes and crushed their pride in their speed.
  • Lynn’s combined forces launched a night attack on the Evil Sunz camp, disabled its defenses, destroyed its vehicles, and killed its leading nobs.
  • The surviving Evil Sunz submitted to Sith, becoming the third major clan in his camp alongside the Hokage and Blood Axe Clans.
  • With Chandler still missing, the other Carl II clans swallowed their resentment and accepted Sith’s growing power.

Ch. 224Killing with Praise (Part Four)

Lynn spent his brief time aboard the Obsidian Pinnacle playing chess with Rena before returning his consciousness to Seven-Smasha on Carl II. Sith’s faction had gained control of nearly a third of the planet, but Lynn judged that he still needed more power to challenge the Deathskulls Clan.

  • Lynn deliberately let Rena win at chess, but she realized he had gone easy on her and became upset.
  • Rena offered to unleash the entire swarm on Carl II, but Lynn refused because the resulting war would be prolonged and expose his connection to the Tyranids.
  • Lynn reassured Rena and returned his consciousness to Seven-Smasha on Carl II.
  • Seven-Smasha saw that Sith’s influence covered nearly a third of Carl II and that the Hokage, Blood Axes, and Evil Sunz clans were aligned with him.
  • Lynn concluded that Sith’s growing forces still were not enough to stand against the Deathskulls Clan.

Ch. 225Praising to Ruin (V)

Lynn sent Jiaolong-class Bio-ships to harass Carl II and farm reputation for Sith, while Luna chose not to confront them. As Tyranid attacks wore down the Orks, Toothy presented Sith’s faction with a plan to clear the invaders and stop further landings.

  • Lynn told Rena to use small-scale Tyranid raids on Carl II, and Rena deployed three Jiaolong-class Bio-ships.
  • Luna recognized Lynn’s ploy but ordered her fleet to watch the Tyranid ships without attacking them.
  • The Bio-ships launched spore sacs onto Carl II, where Tyranids hid and ambushed Ork patrols, watchmen, and Squigs.
  • Rena used stealthy Chameleons as command nodes to coordinate the scattered Tyranids and evade Ork searches.
  • Toothy presented Sith and the Big 'Uns with a plan for the Blood Axe Clan, Evil Sunz Clan, and Hokage Clan to clear Tyranids and intercept incoming spores.
