Background / History
Before the Heavenly Screen
Bibi Dong rules Spirit Hall as Pope and seeks to unify the continent. She previously participated in Spirit Hall’s failed expedition against Sea God Island, an experience that later makes Bo Saixi fear renewed hostilities if she becomes a god 2 6.
She is already undergoing the Rakshasa God’s divine trials when the Heavenly Screen appears. At level 97, she reserves the last two positions on her second Martial Soul for hundred-thousand-year Soul Rings, hoping their power will bring her directly to level 99 14 58.
Watching and Changing the Future
The screen’s revelation of a nineteen-year-old, level 84 Wu Wei prompts Bibi Dong to investigate everyone named Wu Wei who awakened a Martial Soul that year. Her own future attribute card then reveals that she becomes the level 100 Rakshasa God. She initially assumes this will make her exempt from divine punishment, only to watch her future self lose all cultivation 3 5 12.
Determined to prevent that outcome, she reasons that the screen must be showing the future so people can change it. Learning that repeated divine interference caused the punishment frustrates her: its source lies in the Divine Realm, beyond her ability to stop 16 18.
Tang San’s future as the Sea God produces a more immediate response. Bibi Dong orders Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo to kill him and the other future young Titled Douluo at Shrek Academy. Their arrival forces Shrek to confront the danger of remaining together, while Sword Douluo intervenes against their attack 9 39 40.
Pursuit of Wu Wei’s Techniques
Bibi Dong’s interest in Wu Wei grows as the screen reveals Blood Essence Soul Rings and the Automatic Cultivation Method. Improving existing rings would offer an alternative to finding the rare Soul Beasts needed for her divine trial, but watching Wu Wei work does not reveal enough to reproduce either technique 58 59 64.
She orders Elder Ju to find Wu Wei before Qian Daoliu does. Nevertheless, she dismisses the actual child as an implausible match because he has only level 5 Innate Soul Power, an ordinary background, and a Wind Spirit Snake Martial Soul. She redirects the search toward the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, suspecting that the future Wu Wei’s Azure Dragon is a mutation of its Martial Soul 60 65.
Bibi Dong also experiments personally in the Star Dou Great Forest. After killing roughly eighty to a hundred Soul Beasts, she makes no progress toward Blood Essence Soul Rings. Despite conducting this research, she supports Yu Xiaogang’s warning about Soul Beast scarcity and Spirit Hall’s renewed prohibition on indiscriminate slaughter 66 67.
Displayed Future: Defeat and Withdrawal
At Jialing Pass, Bibi Dong has killed Tang San and believes continental unification is close. Divine punishment overturns that advantage by reducing gods, Soul Masters, and Soul Beasts alike to level 0 1 12 16.
Without Spirit Hall’s superior Soul Masters, she faces a million-strong Heaven Dou army with only two hundred thousand ordinary defenders. She orders an evacuation through the north gate within a quarter of an hour, retreating to Spirit City rather than attempting to hold the pass. Heaven Dou subsequently captures the remaining garrison 23 27.
After the Heaven Dou army withdraws from Spirit City, Bibi Dong dissolves the Spirit Hall Empire but preserves Spirit Hall. She closes the city, orders its Soul Masters to remain inside and recultivate, and publicly withdraws the organization from outside disputes. Privately, she remains determined to regain level 100 and reverse her defeat 42.
Appearance
Bibi Dong has a striking face and phoenix-shaped eyes. Her formal dress emphasizes her position as Spirit Hall’s ruler 23.
- Papal robes and purple-gold crown: Worn while commanding the retreat from Jialing Pass 23.
- Scepter: Frequently held while seated on the papal throne 3 12.
- Rakshasa God Armor: Worn by her future god-level self; cracks and peels away during divine punishment, exposing her papal robes underneath 12.
Personality
Bibi Dong is ambitious, proud, and capable of decisive retreat. Even without cultivation, her authority intimidates Spirit Hall’s senior figures. She abandons Jialing Pass when its defense becomes untenable and later sacrifices the empire’s name to preserve Spirit Hall itself 23 42.
Her confidence becomes fury when forces beyond her control threaten her achievements. She initially treats godhood as protection from punishment, then reacts with despair when that belief collapses. Discovering the Asura God’s continued support for Tang San enrages her because she blames divine interference for destroying her cultivation and military advantage 5 12 50.
She has little unconditional reverence for the Rakshasa God. She takes satisfaction in seeing Ye Si humiliated after enduring the difficulties of her trials. However, Wu Wei’s coercive treatment of the goddesses recalls unpleasant memories and turns her amusement into disgust; she later declares that she would rather die than submit as Ye Si does 22 26 29 63.
Her treatment of forbidden cultivation is selective. She condemns Evil Soul Masters and insists that Spirit Hall will suppress them, while refusing to classify herself as one despite using similar methods in her Blood Essence Soul Ring experiments 60 69.
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Bibi Dong possesses the Death Spider Emperor and Soul Devouring Spider Emperor. Her future Rakshasa God attribute card records the following configurations 5:
| Martial Soul | Soul Ring Configuration |
|---|---|
| Death Spider Emperor | Yellow, purple, purple, black, black, black, black, black, red 5 |
| Soul Devouring Spider Emperor | Black, black, black, black, black, black, red, black, black 5 |
| Shared divine ring | Golden Rakshasa Divine Ring 5 |
- In the past timeline, her second Martial Soul still has two unfilled ring positions 58.
- Following divine punishment, her displayed attribute card lists no Soul Rings 41.
Innate Devouring
Her Martial Soul possesses a devouring ability, which she attempts to adapt into a method for improving Soul Rings 60.
- Research application: Devours Soul Beasts while attempting to reproduce Wu Wei’s Blood Essence Soul Rings 66.
- Observed limit: Her experiments neither improve ring quality nor meaningfully raise cultivation; at most, they restore some Soul Power 66.
- Unachieved technique: The supplied events do not show her successfully learning or developing Blood Essence Soul Rings 66.
Rakshasa Inheritance
Ye Si selects Bibi Dong as her inheritor, and the displayed future confirms that Bibi Dong eventually becomes the Rakshasa God 5 14.
- Eighth Trial requirement: Reach level 99 58.
- Ninth Trial obstacle: Its starting conditions are so difficult that Bibi Dong does not know how to fulfill them at that point in the past timeline 22.
- Limit against divine punishment: Neither level 100 cultivation, divine armor, nor her divine ring prevents her reset to level 0 12.
Leadership and Strategic Judgment
Bibi Dong retains effective command after losing her supernatural power 23.
- Recognizes that former Soul Masters cannot replace trained ordinary soldiers once deprived of Soul Power and Soul Skills 23.
- Orders a rapid withdrawal from an unfavorable five-to-one numerical confrontation 23.
- Preserves Spirit Hall through isolation and recultivation after dissolving its empire 42.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Scepter — Carried as Pope and held throughout her future resistance to divine punishment 3 12.
- Papal robes and purple-gold crown — Formal attire worn while directing Spirit Hall’s forces 23.
- Rakshasa God Armor — Divine armor possessed in the displayed future; destroyed during the punishment 12.
Relationships
- Qian Renxue — Daughter and future fellow god of Spirit Hall. Bibi Dong reacts to her Angel God inheritance with aversion toward the Qian family’s deity, but also a brief, involuntary happiness. Qian Renxue resents her lack of affection while still longing for it 6 7.
- Yu Xiaogang — Former lover. Bibi Dong secretly monitors his circumstances and initially leaves Tang San alone partly for his sake. Those feelings do not stop her later assassination order, though she continues defending Yu Xiaogang’s judgment about Soul Beast scarcity 6 9 67.
- Tang San — Future enemy and Sea God. She already knows he is Tang Hao’s son before the screen exposes his future, then orders his death to prevent his growth. Her future self kills him at Jialing Pass, although he is subsequently revived and remains unconscious 9 41.
- Ye Si — Predecessor and patron in the Rakshasa inheritance. Bibi Dong values the godhood but feels little personal loyalty toward its previous holder, whose demanding trials leave her resentful 14 22.
- Wu Wei — Target of investigation and source of coveted cultivation techniques. Her reactions range from admiration for his audacity to disgust at his coercion; she ultimately fails to recognize his younger self 26 29 60 65.
- Qian Daoliu — Spirit Hall authority whose pursuit of Wu Wei conflicts with her desire to obtain his techniques. She specifically orders Elder Ju to find the child before him 60.
- Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo — Subordinates entrusted with the attack on Shrek Academy. Chrysanthemum Douluo also receives her renewed orders to locate Wu Wei 9 60.
- Asura God — Divine adversary whom she blames for the punishment and for continuing to assist Tang San after being reduced to mortality himself 50.
