Zhang Yu strengthened the Undead Tavern, welcomed Jiraiya, and accompanied him to Konoha, where a new quest brought Ino, Sakura, and Hinata to the tavern for a promotional photo shoot. The girls settled in for the night as Zhang Yu prepared for the shoot, while Hashirama and Madara continued sneaking drinks.

• Zhang Yu completed the garden and pond, used super fertilizer and fish feed to mature their produce, and gained Madara Uchiha’s peak-state abilities after the system rewarded him.
• Zhang Yu and the tavern residents held a music party instead of sparring, while Hiruzen Sarutobi warned Konoha leaders not to provoke the tavern before the Chunin Ninja Exams.
• Jiraiya drank two bottles of erguotou at the tavern, and Hashirama and Madara raised his bill to 800,000 ryo before Hiruzen paid 200,000 and wrote an IOU for the rest.
• Zhang Yu accepted a mission to accompany Jiraiya, left Haku guarding the drinks, and went with Jiraiya to the Konoha hot springs, where he bought a Super DSLR camera.
• Zhang Yu met Ino Yamanaka, Sakura Haruno, and Hinata Hyuga, showed them the camera, and invited them to model for the tavern’s promotional photo albums.
• Zhang Yu caught Hashirama and Madara drinking erguotou from cola bottles after they got Haku drunk, but let them and Zabuza off with a warning.
• Zhang Yu carried the pretending-to-sleep Haku to bed, then arranged snacks and a shared room for Ino, Sakura, and Hinata, who settled in for the night before the photo shoot.

Zhang Yu staged promotional photo shoots, took on Team 7 as trainees, and ordered a pool built by hand for a party. The work drew Might Guy and Jiraiya into the construction crew, while Tenten, Rock Lee, and Neji arrived at the tavern looking for Guy.

• Zhang Yu reprimanded Hashirama Senju, Madara Uchiha, and Zabuza Momochi for stealing liquor, then received Sage Mode and began planning a promotional photo shoot with Ino, Sakura, and Hinata.
• Zhang Yu photographed Ino, Sakura, and Hinata in new outfits and cosplay, then Kurenai Yuhi joined the shoot after her students persuaded her.
• Jiraiya assured Hiruzen Sarutobi that news of the Undead Tavern had not spread, while Team 7 arrived and Naruto and Sasuke asked Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha to train them.
• Zhang Yu charged Naruto twenty thousand ryo for Hashirama’s instruction and Sasuke one hundred thousand ryo for Madara’s, assigned Kakashi to tavern work, and began Sakura’s Chakra-control training.
• Hashirama and Madara put Naruto and Sasuke to work in the garden and fishpond, while Zhang Yu received a quest to build a pool and hold a party.
• Zhang Yu ordered Hashirama, Madara, Kakashi, Zabuza, Might Guy, and Jiraiya to dig the pool by hand without Chakra, drawing the group into days of construction.
• Tenten, Rock Lee, and Neji found the Undead Tavern while searching for Might Guy, and Neji used his Byakugan to inspect the tavern after Tobirama Senju welcomed them.

Zhang Yu recruited Tenten and Ino for the Undead Tavern, arranged for Hashirama and Tobirama to protect the Chunin Ninja Exams, and joined the first test with Haku and Yugao. After passing Ibiki’s written exam through Naruto’s refusal to quit, Zhang Yu entered the Forest of Death with the girls as Hashirama and Madara detected Orochimaru among the candidates.

• Neji, Tenten, and Rock Lee learned that Tobirama was the Second Hokage, found Kakashi and Might Guy digging a pool, and Tenten joined the tavern as a server.
• Zhang Yu introduced a maid theme and trained Tenten and Ino to work at the tavern, while Jiraiya told Hiruzen that Hashirama and Tobirama were occupied there.
• Zhang Yu held a pool party, then negotiated twenty million ryo from Hiruzen to have Hashirama and Tobirama guard the Chunin Ninja Exams.
• After Jiraiya paid the remaining fee, Zhang Yu went to the exam venue with Madara, Hashirama, and Haku, and Hiruzen appointed him to oversee the exams.
• Zhang Yu recruited Uzuki Yugao as his teammate, brought her and Haku late to Ibiki’s written exam, and used Ice Release to interfere with candidates trying to copy answers.
• Naruto refused to give up on the tenth question, so Ibiki passed everyone who remained, and Zhang Yu won his bet with Yugao and took her to a photo shoot at the tavern.
• Zhang Yu entered the Forest of Death with Haku and Yugao, telling Ino, Sakura, Tenten, and Hinata that he wanted to protect them.
• Hashirama and Madara sensed Orochimaru’s disguised presence among the candidates, while Zhang Yu offered him cola and covered for his slip in a woman’s voice.

Zhang Yu turned the Forest of Death exam into a scroll marketplace, then returned to the tavern and recruited new staff while the Chunin Exam advanced. Yugao’s permanent hiring unlocked business expansion, and Zhang Yu chose to open a hot pot restaurant beside a barbecue restaurant.

• Orochimaru paid Zhang Yu for the cola, and the examinees entered the Forest of Death after Anko explained the rules.
• Zhang Yu immobilized Anko with Genjutsu, took the Heaven Scroll, and entered the forest with Haku and Yugao while Madara and Hashirama gathered ingredients for the tavern.
• Haku and Yugao killed Sunagakure attackers, and Zhang Yu’s team collected scrolls from other squads while rumors spread about them.
• Zhang Yu’s group rescued Karin from Kirigakure ninja, and Karin accepted a paid maid position with room and board.
• Zhang Yu set up a scroll marketplace, killing Grass Ninja who threatened to seize the stock and selling scrolls to examinees, including Konoha teams who received some for promised gifts.
• Zhang Yu sold nearly all the remaining scrolls, leaving his own team unable to advance, then watched the tower matches as Hinata, Neji, Tenten, Sakura, and Naruto won before Gaara defeated Rock Lee.
• Zhang Yu brought Karin to the tavern and summoned Indra and Asura, who learned about their reincarnations and began training under Madara and Hashirama.
• Orochimaru bought the tavern’s alcohol, and Ino and Hinata arrived to work there, and Yugao accepted Zhang Yu’s offer of permanent employment, unlocking a hot pot restaurant expansion.
