History
Death and the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well
The Fire Dragon King and Ice Dragon King fell at the site that eventually became the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Their lingering power nourished the surrounding vegetation, while their enormous skeletons remained beneath the water. Both preserved remnants of their souls inside their bones 28 100.
Gu Wuchen knew about the remains before visiting them, but initially postponed his exploration because he feared the surviving souls would be too powerful for him 27 28.
Encounter and Master-Servant Contract
When Gu Wuchen reached the lake bed, the Dragon Kings manifested from their skeletons. The Fire Dragon King rejected his claim that he was merely seeking a compatible opportunity, and both attacked. The Ice God’s phantom emerged from the Ice Soul Sword and blocked their combined assault 100.
The Ice God offered them a chance at rebirth through Gu Wuchen, his own inheritor and the Sea God’s inheritor. They agreed to follow him, expecting an ordinary allegiance contract. Instead, the Ice God restrained them while Gu Wuchen implanted soul imprints establishing a Master-Servant Contract. Furious but unable to resist, they entered Gu Wuchen’s Sea of Consciousness 101.
Third Trial and Physical Form
The Ice God’s Third Trial explicitly identified the Fire Dragon King’s unwillingness to serve another as a difficulty. Gu Wuchen considered that obstacle already resolved by their contract. Although still resentful, the Fire Dragon King acknowledged that following Gu Wuchen had helped the Dragon Kings recover 132.
At the underground altar, both Dragon Kings fused their souls with Gu Wuchen’s. Ice God Power reconciled their opposing attributes, granting him control over Ultimate Ice and Ultimate Fire. The three then jointly killed the Ancient Ice and Fire Two-Headed Flood Dragon 150.
The trial reward restored the Dragon Kings’ ability to take physical form. The Fire Dragon King pledged continued assistance, pointing out that their contract tied their survival to Gu Wuchen’s. Both returned to his Sea of Consciousness afterward 151.

Personality
The Fire Dragon King is proud, confrontational, and resistant to subordination. He protests the deceptive contract, argues that his Demigod strength still deserves respect, and resents the Ice and Snow Empresses acting as though they control him 101 102 132.
He also enjoys teasing others and observing their embarrassment. He comments on the Snow Empress’s private affection, mocks the Ice Dragon King’s habitual cold expression, and needles Gu Wuchen about his kiss with Bo Saixi. When Gu Wuchen threatens to confine him permanently to the Sea of Consciousness, he stops 110 151 157.
