Gifts in the Star Dou Great Forest

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion secretly helped Zhang Yang and Zhang Lexuan during their Soul Ring search by leaving badly injured, bound Soul Beasts near their camp. When the first group proved unsuitable and was released, she realized Zhang Yang needed Mental and charm attributes. Her next delivery included an Illusory Charm Spider, which Zhang Lexuan selected for his First Soul Ring 22.

Zhang Yang suspected that their hidden benefactor was the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, whom he associated with Wang Qiu'er from his knowledge of the original story. Hoping she would eventually transform and enter human society, he deliberately tried to draw her out with his charm. She continued following him, increasingly attracted to his scent, while the Scarlet King guarded her 22 23.

Contact with Zhang Yang

While Zhang Yang pretended to sleep with his Martial Soul active, she approached the camp, nudged Zhang Lexuan’s hand aside, and rested her head on his hand before curling up beside him. The Scarlet King observed without intervening. This encounter allowed Zhang Yang to sign in with her for the first time 25.

Over the following days, Zhang Yang’s flute performances increased her affection until a second sign-in became available. She then sent the Scarlet King away and approached Zhang Yang to investigate why he attracted her so strongly 26 27.

After Zhang Yang received Auspicious Aura, she used Attribute Guidance and discovered that his aura shared the same origin as hers. Pressing her third eye against his forehead connected their spiritual seas, allowing each to see some of the other’s memories. Among his memories, she saw Wang Qiu'er’s original-story appearance and began considering adopting that human form to appeal to him. She withdrew before Zhang Lexuan fully awakened and before the Scarlet King returned 27.

Her gifts ultimately supplied both Zhang Yang’s First and Second Soul Rings 33.

Consequences of the Spiritual Connection

Di Tian reprimanded her for connecting with a human, sharing memories, and merging souls, emphasizing the danger because she represented the Soul Beast Clan’s auspicious fortune. He ordered the Scarlet King to keep watch over her and prevent further wandering 29.

The Silver Dragon King subsequently identified their connection as the point through which fate had been distorted. Believing the resulting change held positive significance for the Soul Beast Clan, she instructed Di Tian to find Zhang Yang 29.
